You are going to lose him anyway. Someone will offer him a head coaching job before long.

I wouldn't say Georgia is down. They have a lot of young talent. We need a new defensive scheme. The offense will be good next year I think.

I'm sure we'll lose him to a HC job, that would be a step up.

I would say Georgia is down. The penalties are killing them and it seems like Richt just doesn't care. That's what seems to be the major issue to me.

He has tried everything. You just can't fix stupid I guess. Joe Cox was part of the problem. Evidently Logan Gray isn't capable either. We redshirted the #3 quarterback in the country and he has gotten some work with the first team since they rest Cox one day a week. By the time Alabama comes around we'll be ready to kick your ass.

Yeah. One of our defensive coaches, Sal Sunseri is also considered a candidate.

Our OC, McElwain is considered one of the top contenders for the Louisville HC.

It's not a bad thing to deal with, better than the Shula years when we couldn't pay a team to take our coaches.

During today's Broyles Award festivities in Little Rock, Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart addressed speculation tying him to the defensive coordinator opening at Georgia.

Asked by reporter Doug Crise of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette if he had spoken to Bulldogs coach Mark Richt about the possibility of joining UGA's staff, Smart didn't say yes or no.

"I haven't really thought about it, to be honest," Smart said. "All I've done since the game against Florida is get ready and go recruit. I'm happy at Alabama and my wife's happy at Alabama. We're not looking to go anywhere."

For what it's worth, Smart said he was headed to Atlanta for recruiting purposes after today's banquet. The Crimson Tide landed a commitment today from a prospect in the Atlanta area.

I'm in, even though last year's bowl pool was a complete embarrassment for me. I think I got about 30% of them right.

And thanks from me, too, WD, for doin' all the hard work on NCAA. It made the college season a lot more fun for me, and I actually learned a bit about teams from conferences other than the SEC, ACC, Big East and Big 12. Oh, yeah, and those Californified wusses from the Pac-10 (12?) (whatever they are).
