Sorry for screaming like that. Sometimes, it’s the only way to get their attention.

Anyhow, this would probably be more of a Romance story; no asking the widow(er) for their phone number during the memorial service or anything like that.

The characters wouldn’t even HAVE to be elderly. It could be someone who lost their spouse at a young age.

The point is, originally the other person is there for emotional support; maybe help them out around their home as they adjust to the loss.

And then at some point…

Now I know you said no incest, but in laws are okay, right? Cause

SIL or BIL would be some great options.

If they’re rich, maybe maid or nanny

Oh shit, there's a good one I read recently but I can't even recall the author. Oh this is going to bug me. Couple buys an old house, husband dies before they move in. Once she stops wallowing she decides to fix the house up like they dreamed. She discovers her neighbor is a retired carpenter. He helps her restore the antique fixtures in the house. Eventually they end up painting naked, to protect their clothes, as one does with purely platonic neighbors. His wife gives him a hall pass to help the lonely widow.

stories featuring sex between in laws will typically be placed in the taboo/incest category, because whether or not you classify it as incest, Literotica will almosi always classify it as Taboo.

Thus my "story", actually an essay, on Writing In-Law Incest, which since it conrains no sex scene, is in How to.

How about this one?
Less Than Mint Condition
A widow hires a young man to liquidate her late husband's collection. They are both a bit damaged and end up being what the other needs most.

Uh, guys, you know that I love you, but are we responding with sstory ideas, or referrals to exissting stories here? because, if the latter, I will move the thread to the Looking for A Story subforum.

I'm a big fan of more stories featuring older people, wherher seniors or "just" in the their 40s or 50s.

And widows definitely need loving too. Maybe especially...

I like the idea of a PAIR, a wifdow and a widower. At first, he cleans her gutters and she bakes him a lasagna. Then he carries in her trash cans. She brings him muffins...

Two people who lost the loves of their lives share a trauma in common. They speak a language the rest of us not only don't know but are terrified to learn, and that discomfort makes many look away as hard as they can, like it'll be contagious. If one of them was recent then leaning on someone else for understanding and advice on how to stop feeling like you're drowning is a bonding moment. All the more touching if the newly widowed had made overtures of friendship to the lonely neighbor before the tragedy.

It's not a mentorship situation, so the social mores about 'taking advantage' or imprinting are not as aggressively applied in my limited experience. I knew a couple who dated for a while after their partners cheated on them and ran off together. Best Friend's Girl situation. Nobody faulted them for ending together, but the other two burned a lot of bridges. Some thought it cute, or even a silver lining to a terrible tale. Was it misattributed neurochemicals? Almost certainly. But who cares, they're both hurting, cut them some slack.

One idea I had (NOTE: The names are just placeholders):

Linda’s husband and son, and Matt’s father, died in a tragic vehicle accident. Matt still had his mom and brother to help him get through the tragedy; but for Linda, it was much more difficult.

Matt starts helping out around her home; sometimes with household stuff, and occasionally just emotional support. Slowly, Linda starts to recover.

They both are clear that Linda is NOT trying to turn Matt into Charlie 2.0. This isn’t replacing a kid’s goldfish when it dies, after all.

Just using the Mature trope...

Billy was mowing the family lawn when their neighbor, Mrs. Thompson, came home from the market. As she grabbed the first bag of groceries, he shut off the mower and ran over to help. Mr. Thompson had died a year ago, leaving the widow to fend for herself as she had no family in the city.

"Oh thank you Billy," as he picked up two bags and followed her inside. "But you don't have do that."

"It's my pleasure Mrs. Thompson." And it was, as she had a lovely round ass and thick thighs that his eyes were locked upon.

"Well then please, call me Carly. You're certainly old enough now. I bought some blueberry muffins. Want to join me in a muffin and coffee?"

'Yes,' he thought lustfully, 'I'd love to join you'.

A man and a woman, unrelated, have a very serious car crash. It's a freak accident, nobody's fault, possibly weather related. Maybe they are similar ages; maybe one is mature and the other is quite young.

Anyway, they both are in the same hospital in grave condition. Their spouses arrive, horrified and scared. They meet. Then both victims die. The surviving spouses form an instant bond from the shared grief. Which eventually leads to......

This would be a very tough story to pull off in a Lit length story. Grief is a long process to go through before you get to the 'hey let's fuck' stage.

Really? for Lit purposes, hugging leads to caressing leads to disrobing, leads to sex. Not so tough. They postpone the resumption of grieving until later.
