we used to go to this place called Rust de Winter.... there was nothing - just a few longdrops... the water we had to buy at a store miles away.... just a tent and a boat and a landcruiser....

also...
in the town where i lived (Pretoria) they had this nature reserve about 2km out of the city centre with a 12km hiking trail which i used to do on weekends... and they had giraffes there and blouwildebeest and steenbokkies and zebras and you could just walk there and be so close to them....
very special
