Lots of scary language gets tossed around when tax changes hit the air, many people view taxes as a badge of honor, the more the better, but they can be held at bay. Personally I don't think students have to worry about tuition waivers or student loans becoming taxable than present, and again, you're in a very minimal tax situation, so should be able to get down to zero. Approximately 50% of Americans pay no taxes, though they're in a bracket to do so.
I see. There has been a lot of alarming information in the news and social media recently hence the worry. Thanks for the info though. I'll keep that in mind.
