"Marry you?" Nicole repeated, not sure if she had heard him right. Finally able to catch her breath, she lifted her head to look at him, "I'm...I.."

She didn't know what to say after all...marriage was a huge step and just finding out she was...they were expecting their first child, well, it was a lot to take in, that was for sure.

Sitting up slowly, slid off and up beside him, her eyes never leaving his, "listen, Johnny, it's not that I don't want to our that I do...I just...it's been a lot for one day, ok? I don't want to say yes it no...just...can we talk about it all more? At a later time?"

"Shit, you're right, I shouldn't have asked like that. I'm sorry. Guess I'm just... I don't know, high on sex?" He said with a small, uncertain smirk. "Shh, you're right, its a whole hell of a lot to take in. Its enough that we're together, here and now, you know? Right? I mean, I don't have to leave, do I?" He looked more nervous now, unsure if she even wanted him to stay the night.

Nicole shook her head at his question, "No.." she said, feeling as though she answered a little too quickly, "I mean please... stay with me tonight.. I don't want to be alone."

She relaxed in the crook of his arm and closed her eyes, "It's just been one hell of a day, you know.. " was all that she could say before drifting off to sleep, mentally and physically exhausted.

There seemed to be a lot of uncertainty in the air, but it was enough for him that Nicki was letting him stay the night. He slipped an arm around her and spooned with her, kissing the nape of her neck as he did. "Yeah, it has. But this... You and I... Feels like heaven." He whispered back as he felt her drift off into sleep, unsure if she had heard him or not.
