I am going to be brutally honest. My story is repetitively being rejected, being flagged for AI. I did use Chat GPT to an extent but then besides having the idea one of the reasons for writing this story this way was an experiment on how good bots can be in in assisting writers. I had success but to be fair there are a lot of edits that have gone into the prose by my review. and the initial input which was majority work was also majority of the prose. I have been using AI as an editor as well as a guide/mentor and also a research assistant but the main creativity, the main ideas, charachter planning, etc are all mine. How do I get through the filters Lit has. I don't mean to cheat the system. I mean how do I up the quality to a level that qualifies. I am a poor guy who cannot afford hiring people to help. I am also reclusive socially so haven't got any friends helping with this. Chat GPT seemed like a boon but if I don't post on Lit I don't get the audience I need and thus get stuck. The story has been a saviour of sorts for me. When I began I was in a dark place. It has helped my mental health and take some sembelence of control in my hands for my life but if I cannot post here it might endup in my graveyard of creative ideas and I fear what that loss will do to my life. Honesty is my last option. This desperation in my tone is born out of anxiety. This story has literally given me a new lease on life, posting it here and it getting the audience I have seen only this site generate means just that much to me. Please help!

Your current version that has already been rejected multiple times is probably a lost cause for publishing here. If you saved an early draft from before you used the bot, you can try asking one of the volunteer editors to assist you with it. Otherwise you'll have to start over from scratch, avoid any further use of GPT or similar, and then look for an editor.

The site is quite adamant that the words MUST come from you and not from AI. Using it to research or bounce ideas off it isn't a problem, but you must be the one who writes every word.
I suggest you rewrite your story from scratch. It'll even be a good exercise for you. Keep in mind that you shouldn't use AI to automatically correct your grammar. You can listen to its suggestions about grammar and punctuation, but do the corrections manually. Also, don't listen to its suggestions to rewrite your sentences. That would result in another rejection.

Are you unfamiliar with the idiom 'start from scratch'? It means open up a new document file and type the story out from beginning to end (or whatever other order you prefer), without asking a bot to do it for you or to rearrange it the way its program thinks is proper. Copying and pasting already-rejected content will not change the outcome. If you don't think it needs to be changed, you'll just have to find somewhere else to post it.

I'm a bit confused about what you want people to tell you. If you're happy with the story exactly as it is and yet this is the story that is being rejected and you admit that there is some AI-ness about it, what can be done?
Even if a volunteer editor did help with it they wouldn't want to 'cheat the system' anymore than you do so they would have to edit the words you say you're completely happy with.
For the most part AH supports the stance of the website not to publish anything written with AI assistance and so I don't think anyone will want to help you get it through unless you're prepared to begin again and write it completely yourself or at least allow a human editor to suggest changes they think will help.
I think I misspoke. I happy with the story as it stands doesn't mean I am not open to edits or changes to the scenes. I think I will try a rewrite but I still doubt I will change much to the scenes as they are written. Still let's see how it goes but if someone is willing to help I am all ears to ehat kind of changes can be made but the broader idea of what's happening in the story... the scenes as they unravel. Detailing. That is what I am satisfied with. Hoe its written. Clarifications. Etc. That's different. Open to suggestions there.
As far as my stance on AI goes. I am against AI making content but why not allow it to act as an Editor + Research assistant. Maybe letting it act as a guide is a step too far as is evident by my experience so far. But what's the harm in the rest (P.S. just want to listen to opinions and see if I am missing something. Since AH supports the stance of the website as it is.) Also now that I weigh things up I do understand rewrite could be a good experience for meas a writer but still would like to listen to thoughts to understand if AI needs to be removed from my process or if its role needs to change.

Okay if you're open to changes then I'm part of the Volunteer Editor program here on Lit and I'd be willing to read it and give you advice on how a human would write it without changes the voice it already has.
I can't guarantee that the flow, or layout or scene sequence might not fall under my opinion for change but naturally you get the final decision on anything I suggest. Using it for research is fine.
As an editor, it inevitably changes words. If you think that should be allowed, take it up with Laurel and Manu; they make the rules.

Rewriting a completed story that you are happy with, however you got there, is going to be a pretty miserable experience. This site doesn't accept AI-generated stories, but others do, although, yes, with an almost certainly much-reduced audience.
I suggest just posting this story to one of those sites, seeing what happens and then deciding how to approach your second story. A hobby should make you happy, and, if you are happy with your process and however you are stitching together AI-content, stick with it.

How long is the story ChatGPT wrote for you?
If it's a 100,000 word novel, yeah, rewriting would be a huge job.
If it's a 2,000 word short-short, and you find writing it a huge job ... maybe do it anyway, as a way to learn to write.

The grim reality, if the situation is as you describe in the first post, is that Literotica will not want to publish your story. The owners of this site do not want to host stories "written" the way you've done it.
So. You need to be open to rewriting from scratch, which (IMO) you shouldn't do (because vestiges of AI will still be present), or you need to treat it as practice and write a new story, also from scratch (this, I think, is the preferred technique).
But either way, you need to accept you cannot post your existing story on Literotica. If you value what the site owners are trying to do with their site, then you'll stop trying to "get through the filters Lit has."

I'm sorry your story has run afoul of Lit's approval policy. Here in the AH we can get pretty snarky about people using GenAI as a writing crutch - and I'll admit I usually lead the pack - but it's obvious you feel strongly about what you created and have enjoyed seeing your ideas come to life.
But Lit is a great place for learning to write. You're better off publishing something that's badly written than trying to achieve perfection. Most of us have learned from just writing, writing, writing. It gets easier, so much easier - and then it gets harder, but that's another phase altogether.
If you don't feel up to going through Lit's approval process just yet, you can try writing some snippets for @EmilyMiller's Writing Prompts or the semi-regular Writing Exercises. These are no-pressure threads where you can just practise stringing words together. No beginning, no end, not even necessarily a complete scene, just writing for the sake of writing.
Then, when you've found some more confidence, you can try writing another story for publication. It will be so much easier, like I said.

This depends on how long it is, but imagine you just had a computer crash. You lost the old story. Can you open a new document and write as much as possible of it from memory? Think of this as a technical exercise. You already know well the characters, the events, the motivations, and so on. What you have to create anew is the actual words.
Rather than copying parts from what you've got, put it aside, ignore it. Try to write it again. Once you've done that - you've got the events right, you've got to the end, and so on - then look at the old version. Were there any really good ideas you'd forgotten about, any really perfect language that you hadn't remembered and definitely want to use? Don't import lots of the old text into the new, but just check the old text to see if the rewrite from scratch missed anything important.

This site wants to exclude all AI-written content*. They have a boilerplate rejection note that specifically says that allowing Grammarly to edit your text is disallowed (acting on its suggestions yourself is fine).
From what you have said, you have used AI to help write the text and then to edit it. Neither is alllowed here (much as the detection tools are far from perfect).
Using AI as a research tool is allowed - frankly Googling stuff involves using Gemini most of the time. Even using it to highlight grammar issues is fine, so long as you make your own fixes and don’t just use its suggested text (that’s pretty much the same as the correct use of Grammarly - as Grammarly now uses genAI).
Writing is fun, don’t deprive yourself of that. Writing can be tough and require effort - just like anything worth doing in life.

Also, there are at least a few precedents in the USA that you can't copyright the output of a chatbot at all. They're just unowned. This doesn't bother Literotica, necessarily (they don't claim copyright on the works) but might bother some writers.

Now that I avoided an aneurysm from writing that paragraph, let me tell you this: it's better to have no guide/mentor than an AI mentor. There are countless of tutorials on Youtube that teach you how to write, all done by writers and editors, and all are available for free, so you're welcome to spend time in tutorial hell. But this, this right here, is what pissed me off:

Marquis de Sade wrote most of his work from prison, and he saw people's heads being lopped off in the guillotine! Do you think you have it bad because you fear losing your life? I began writing The Woman at the Speakeasy when I was hiding from political persecusion, and while I never finished it, it became the final seedling for my last three published works. I wrote short stories while I was dying of dysentery in bed, by hand, on a notepad! I nearly killed myself one year before the pandemic, and that gave birth to a novel I don't feel I can edit because I no longer am the person that I was when I wrote it. And that disease that nearly killed me ended up being the seeds to a novel I currently began to edit to post here.
If you really want your writing to be good, it has to be bad first. There's nothing wrong with using art, or learning an art to cope with life, I do it every single day. But an AI will not give you the catharsis you're looking for. If anything, it'll give you more heroine to keep you hooked into the cycles of guilt.
So please, stop using AI in your process. Like I said in the first paragraph, it drowns your voice. Everybody has a beautiful voice, and now everybody is speaking in the same way as I wrote in the first paragraph, and holy shit, that made me feel blunt needles on the back of my eyes. Have you been pierced by a blunt needle? Let me tell you: you want that bastard to be pointy.

Let's say you really, really like golf. You love striding about in the open air, hitting balls, seeing how far you can make them go, trying harder and harder to get them into the hole, competing with others. It's fun, it's good exercise, it tests you to the limits. One day you're on a golf course enjoying yourself, and you happen to pass... wow! It's Arnold Palmer! The great world champion! And he notices you, and talks to you. Wow! Arnold Palmer is chatting with me. And he looks at your position, and says he'd use a number 7 iron here.
Wow! Thanks, Arnold! He's just helped you play better. So you do that, and he keeps walking along with you, and for the next hole he points out the best club to use (club? bat? racket? I will echo the voices recommending that you do the writing yourself, without letting an AI contribute anything that directly goes in. You learn things by doing the work yourself that you can't learn any other way. The author and editor communities here are good, so you have folks who can offer advice and feedback.
