Convince me to Vote Republican

Please don't vote Republican, because you're a viscious cold-hearted murderer. They don't need your vote and if they ever pander to that level of extremism like Harper in Canada they will never win another election.

Hi BBS -

Please do not accept anything Renard says as generally indicative of the majority of the folks that live here in the US. Most Republicans are not sure why they vote Republican, except for a vague sense of it being 'unAmerican'. The sane people of America have formed a coalition and we promise not to let dopes like Renard have any more influence than the constitutionally minimally necessary influence to maintain a free society.

But that does leave an awful lot of room for douchebags like him to also be windbags. But that is ok. In fact it is more than OK - it is down-right American. They are harmless unless we accept their slogans in lieu of thinking - and I believe thinking will prevail, of necessity.

Well that is a relief. Do you think folks from other countries think that way too? Or do they lump us all in with Renard?

Okay....without spewing hatred, someone convince me to vote republican in 2016. Why should I?
Romney wasn't the guy. In 2016, why should I vote republican? I don't want religious/old testament policies in place. I want to make sure that our energy policy takes rampant pollution into consideration. I'm over the angry old white guys who keep running! LOL

Hey, I'll try this:
OK, you need to vote Republican for president because if you don't the debt will go up more than a trillion dollars a year. Already 40 cents of every dollar collected by the government pays debt, so that figure is only going to get worse. Plus, what happens if the interest rate on the debt goes up? Yep, all our taxes go to pay down the debt.

If you don't vote Republican, you'll have a president who will arbitrarily decide who has to comply, and who doesn't have to comply, with the new health care law. This destroys the concept of all people being equal before the law. Sort of like a banana republic.

If you don't vote Republican, you'll have a president who has bent over double to appease Putin and Russia in exchange for nothing, and who promises he'll be more flexible after the next election.

Let's go back to the extra $6 trillion in debt. Even with that, the president says we have a crumbling infrastructure of highways and bridges, plus real unemployment is 14 percent. How is that possible when government is spending a trillion dollars more a year that it doesn't have? What do we have to show for that $6 trillion in new debt?

If you don't vote Republican the number of people on food stamps will skyrocket. So will the number of people on SS disability.

You've figured out by now that with the evidence in front of you that you fucked up big time by not voting Republican in 2012. It will be worse in 2016 but, quite frankly, if a Democrat will offer the public enough trinkets ("free" birth control, unlimited unemployment) it won't matter who the Republican candidate is.

Lowest unemployment by state (also among the lowest state tax rates and budget deficits)
1 NORTH DAKOTA 3.0
2 NEBRASKA 3.9
3 SOUTH DAKOTA 4.4
4 IOWA 5.2
4 OKLAHOMA 5.2
6 UTAH 5.4
6 VERMONT 5.4

and here is the inverse:

46 MICHIGAN 9.3
47 NORTH CAROLINA 9.6
48 NEW JERSEY 9.8
49 CALIFORNIA 10.2
50 RHODE ISLAND 10.5
51 NEVADA 11.8

any questions?

Vermont is a blue state, asshole.

Good answer, however, my concerns are that:

1. Obama didn't cause all of this debt, he inherited a good part of it due to the economy and previous administrations. That's not an indictment, but food for thought. In my mind, I'm not certain that a republican president and congressmen will reduce this debt?

2. Americans overwhelmingly wanted/still want healthcare reform. All I hear from republicans is that they want to repeal "Obamacare", not that they want to replace it with something better? Why is that? Even Romney had Healthcare reform as governor, but he didn't talk about that during the election.

3. I don't think Obama is bending over backwards for Russia or China any more than Bush did. Just saying. Do we want someone that will negotiate with them or be aggressive to them? We can't be isolationists.

I'm just saying, that you made me think, but didn't convince me.
