Unfortunately the really nice ones are way too expensive to have the selection I would want ...

.. but there is such a sweet feel of servitude in my subbie girl cinching me up (or whatever the right terminus is in English), reminding me of the maids of earlier centuries who served the superior Ladies because it was "what they were born to". It has such an intimacy about it as well, the "boudoire" and powder feel *sighs with delight*

And of course when wearing it you are standing straighter, more aware and looking soooo good! *s*

I have one I bought at Frederick's of Hollywood. It is a black satin victorian corset.

I am gonna save for at least one nice leather one.

I usually don't lace it toooo tight because it ends up coming off quite a few times in the night for scenes, but I love how I feel in it. I am a novice corset addict. lol. I purchased one a couple of months ago (online auction ;-) but struggle to lace it up properly. That link you provided is giving me incentive to try again. I probably should have gone with one with shoulder straps, but damn if I just don't luv the edwardian style/type in bridal satin. But that style is more difficult for a "well-endowed" woman. But, heck, I like the challange. I also am addicted to how it makes me feel while wearing it. It has absolutely no give to it. The leather corsets are to die for too. Just beautiful. *wistful sigh* Someday, when I'm rich.

I chuckled at my SO's reaction when I told him I ordered one. First comment was "why, what for?" Second comment was "oh yeah, you're into that antique decorating stuff aren't you?" lol. clueless, I tell ya.

Corsets... love them

Yes, they are expensive (good ones, anyway) but it's worth it to have them fitted properly. I have some acquantances who actually make corsets and other beautiful items [ http://www.bruteforceleather.com/ if you're interested ] and having a garment made to order and fitted to you is powerful. Check around. A lot of corset-makers do Sci-fi cons and Renaissance festivals and will measure and fit you on the spot.

And this makes me laugh. They also sell t-shirts that say "Mine's tighter."

Ok I admit it... I am addicted to corsets. I have 6 right now and my eye on 2 more at Frederick's.

Because they are for play more than anything, I don't have to pay a lot for them... although the ones at Frederick's are not really cheap...

I would love to own a custom made silk one with all that boning.

Himself loves to put me in one and lace me up and make me wear one under my clothes when we are going out.

There is something about the feeling of being bound inside the corset that makes me feel wonderful.

There is something empowering about wearing a corset. Something about feeling it holding you so tightly and forcing Y/you to stand taller and be more aware of Y/your body.
Plus the way the boy reacts to it.

i have a friend who is currently making her own, only she's having a really hard time finding all the pieces she needs for it.

i bought a pseudo-corset about a week ago (zipper down the back...sigh). there is no way i can afford a real one at this point in time (students = poor!). my SO's grandmother had a few antique whalebone ones (still wearable and everything), but she *threw them out*!!!!! she said they were "bloody uncomfortable". she could have made a few thousand dollars off them by selling them, or at least given them away to someone, but no....

corsets appeal to me because of the gothy look, i'm a sucker for it plus looking at myself in the mirror and the sensation of wearing it, and the way it pushes my breasts up is a turn on...i want to do myself
