Rhiannon ~ Waiting For Jack

While waiting for Jack to return, I hear a voice bellowing his name... "Jack! Jack, where are you!? JACK! C'mon, I need your help NOW! C'mon Jack!"

I step back and crush myself against the wall as Brother Sancti pushes past me. It looks as though he's covered in blood! Ohmigod! What has happened? His clothing is disheviled and his mace bloodied... Ugh! I can't bear to look any more... I turn away as a (((shudder))) runs down my back...

Rhiannon ~ Finding Osmond

Jack comes racing back with his weapon on his hip and a determined look in his eyes. "Miss Petrova, I believe that the room we seek is just up the hall here." He takes my arm and firmly guides me back down the darkened hall, stopping just short of a closed door, turning to me he nods.

I have a feeling that I'm much too late as I raise my hand to knock, just then I hear Osmonds voice come through it, "You've been pierced. My apologies but... Shall we find some jewel to mark the occasion? Something with which to adorn you?"

Lowering my hand, I turn back to Jack, knowing he's overheard the exchange also... "Well, it looks as though we're too late, does it not? I fear what this will mean for all of us, he has become aware of what he truely is now, and I cannot tell you how that might affect the rest of us. I can tell you that to defeat this "ba-vil" force, it is going to take every man you can gather and every power source there is to overcome it."

And with that said, I turned and walked away.

Osmond

My attention is drawn away and I become aware of Rhiannon just outside of Gabrielle's door.

"Rhiannon." It is a silent call. "Rhiannon, you knew? or just suspected?"

Deep within me, I can feel the old Osmond's disappointment. I know better though. Even if Rhiannon knew, or if she has only come to know, there was no helping it. I was not ready "to become" until now. Osmond was the cocoon for what I have become.

Not a human, not a vampire, certainly not in the traditional sense. I am like both in many ways. Honed to be the best of both races.

I feel Rhiannon tremble outside the door, unsure whether to enter or not. I feel her love for Osmond and her concern for what I may be, may have become. And I do not know for sure myself.

What I do know is that Fenris and Ramius are a danger to me. Whether I am to be friend or foe to vampires, whether I am to be friend or foe to humans, is of little concern. I am connected to both. There is Rhiannon, vampire. There is Gabrielle, human, yes a witch of some power, but human none-the-less. I cannot make a choice now.

I rise from Gabrielle's bed. Her eyes show her surprise. I give the mental equivalent of a flick of my wrist and my clothing flies to me, a moment later I am once again dressed. I rise up and out through the window. I must think.

I light to sit a moment upon the ramparts of the roof. To think. How to find Fenrisen and to lure out Fenris. I do not think either can be slain, but during its transformation. They are vunerable.

It isn't Petrova's words so much as the way she's said them that bothers me most. All the urgency is gone - she's merely stating a fact now. I'm tempted to kick the door in and see if this is something several rounds of 45 caliber lead can work out, but I remember Sancti's calls from downstairs. Wheeling away from the now-quiet room, I sprint back down the stairs where Sancti is still storming about.

The last of the guests have fled - he's covered in blood and looks quite mad.

Gunnar Fenrisen

Transformation completed, I dress and proceed down the hall.

I note a bit of carnage, bodies not accountable to the wolf. I hear Sancti bellowing and realize he's had one of his "episodes" and has mistakenly killed innocents in his madness. Well, all to the good, to my good. They would have had to go anyway and I can use this to my advantage.

The humor of this moment is too much and I begin chuckling as I descend the stairs and towards Gabrielle's suite. That vampire bitch is standing at her door and Jack has started down the stairs.

"Jack! There has been more mayhem! I have found more bodies, their heads crushed by some blunt instrument. Has anyone come down since I we parted?"

I knew there was but one answer Jack could give! Sancti! Alone with the vampire, I extend my hand.

"Miss? I saw you earlier downstairs. In all the commotion, we were not introduced. I am Captain Gunnar Fenrisen. You look distressed. May I be of assistance?"

Brother Sancti

"Jack! Jack! Oh, there you are", he yelled as he approached Jack. Trying wipe some of the imp blood off his face with his sleeve, he says, "Jack, forget the meeting. That guest you were talking about earlier, I forgot what room hes in, and I need to know what room hes in NOW. Its urgent that I know". Brother Sancti impatiently awaited Jack's reply.

Majestic, still stoneform

(ooc: this will be in third person since Maj doesn't wake up for...quite a while...)

He comes up onto the roof, but she, the sleeping gargolye doesn't know it, or probably will not know it, as she is totally unaware of what's going on around her while she is in her stone form during the day.....the metal part of the axe gleans in the sunlight......gods only know if she's dreaming or not....she's still on the raised platform, facing the the same direction as the entrance to the hotel (on ground level).... Her wings are spread at half span and her tail is on the ground, almost as if it was carelessly laying on the ground when the sun rose.....her position is semi-crotched....as stated before....

~"Majestic"~

Rhiannon ~ Capt. Fenrisen

"Miss?" "I saw you earlier downstairs. In all the commotion, we were not introduced. I am Captain Gunnar Fenrisen. You look distressed. May I be of assistance?"

Subconsciously, I shrink back and away from the Captains hand as he extends it to me, then catching myself, I allow him to grasp the tips of my fingers. It's then that the feeling washes over me, all I can feel from him is a warped sense of glee at the carnage that has taken place here tonight.

"Thank you but no Captain, I'm afraid that there is nothing you can do." I tell him as I draw my hand from his. The revulsion I am feeling at his touch is as much as I can bear and half turning, I bid the Captain adieu. And with that, I turn to walk away and hear a horrible noise. Whipping back around I see the Captain leaping through the door but his features were twisted and warped. Oh my god, he's a shape shifter.... a werewolf! My first thought is for Osmond and fly through the door after him only to find that Osmond is not there. The Captain though, has completed his transformation and is leaping out the open window.

Before I even register what has happened I let out a blood curdling scream, as much to warn Osmond as to get Jack and Sancti back up here as quickly as possible.

"...I need to know what room hes in NOW. Its urgent that I know"

Although Sancti is clearly in a hurry, I won't go anywhere without some questions of my own answered, not least of which is the way he's gotten blood smeared all over himself and the weapon he carries. He quickly relates to me the tale of his fight and I realize how bad things have gotten.

The Knight has always had more than its share of things that aren't natural. There's no one on staff who hasn't met up with something outside the usual of the everyday world - but the events of tonight say that things are heading way out of control. Something completely new has begun here, and I can't reckon the source. Too many new arrivals who obviously aren't human; too many guests acting strange; and there's still Rintrah to think about.

I make a decision. I can't do anthing about Harrison and the woman he has with him until I talk to Miss Petrova, but I can find out what Sancti is raving about.

"C'mon, father. I want to see the hallway where you killed your imps ... and then I think we'll pay a visit to Captain Fenrisen. I have some questions for him."

Securing both fighting knife and pistol I walk to the stairs, Sancti just behind me.

Brother Sancti

"Thanks Jack. I owe you one", he said, as he followed Jack up the stairs. They went to the hall where Sancti had bludgeoned a hefty amount of imps. The blood was still dripping from the cieling, with little imp innards splattered across the walls and floor. What seemed to be chunk of imp meat got unstuck to the cieling, and fell splat on the floor in front of us. I turned to Jack, "are you satisfied Jack?".

Gabrielle

"The turmoil we must suffer....." ,Gabrielle laughs softly as Osmond disappears out the window, wondering how long it'll take him to resolve himself to his situation. ((OOC: I wanted to say to Osmond, "With great power comes great responsibility." *LOL*))

Gabrielle stretches her long, nubile body, hearing the sounds outside of her suite, yet, paying no mind, but to that of the Captain's presence.

Her thoughts clear as she moves languidly to the dressing area, selecting a midnight blue dress, created with the finest silks and satins. The sheen of the dress illuminating her pale flesh perfectly. She takes a cloth, dipping it within warmed water..then she pauses.

Why cleanse the smell of him from her? Surely his lovely lady would enjoy catching her lover's swirling around her? Gabrielle eyes glint wickedly within the mirror at herself. Besides the Captain will find it very intriguing to say the least.

Her mind reaches out quickly, calling the to Captain, "Captain...are you finished terrorizing the weak minded?" laughing to herself as she begins to dress, "I do wish to be within your presence now. Though I know I have missed a wonderfully, exciting time with you already!"

She carefully adorns herself with her undergarments, also fine creations. Stepping within her dress, wondering why on earth she didn't summon Marshall to do this. Sighing deeply, Gabrielle tends to the stays of the corset, pulling them tightly, feeling a thrill as her waist is cinched tightly, her breasts lifted into a glorious swell of femininity. She slippers on a pair of matching heels, turning slowly within the mirror. Forever careful with her appearance, she touches the jewel upon her neck and grins as it's vivid glow dims. Twisting her lengthy tresses into a knot at the back of her head, she leaves her neck free from the dark tendrils.

Smiles as she turns towards the door, drawing it open, and stepping within the hall. Hearing a blood curlding scream, Gabrielle smiles the way of the release of the noise. Speaking softly to the young woman, "You wouldn't have happened to have seen the Captain....would you?"

Gunnar Fenrisen

The bitch vampire declines to even accept my introduction, well, no matter. She dies right now.

I open Gabrielle's door in order to hurl the vampire in. Gabrielle will enjoy the kill as much as I, more, she will gain power from this vampire's death.

Before the deed is done, I realize, I smell, GABRIELLE!, you took him in your bed! She is on her bed, I can sense her aura ablaze in new found energy and strength. She is gazing out the window.

The other, unaware of my intent begins to step away. Another breath and I realize the smell of the room, the smell on Gabrielle, a fucking vampire! Another fucking vampire. My thoughts are almost palpible and Gabrielle is visibly startled by my inner rage 'Where are all these fucking vampires coming from! I'll fucking mutilate that Ramius!'

My rage spills over, uncontrolled, the wolf escapes, I transform, faster than I have ever transformed before. In front of Gabrielle, in front of that vampire bitch. 'Gabrielle! How could you betray me like this?' Her eyes grow wide, and cold at this last thought.

I scream with the pain of this uncontrolled transformation, a scream that turns to a howl. 'That vampire! I'll rend him limb from limb.'

Fenris

I think Gabrielle tried to stop me. I don't even know for sure. I know I took a swipe at her in my rage as I leapt through the window, following the vampire's musk! If she survived, I'll deal with her later.

The vampire.
Where is he?
I draw deeply into my snout!
Up!
I leap onto the parapet.
We crash into each other as he was jumping down, no doubt coming to Gabrielle's rescue, having heard my howl.

My greater mass carries us up and over, onto the roof. I snap at his head, but something restrains me and my fangs clack against each other. I snap at him two, three more times, and swipe my claws to disembowel him. Somehow he evades me time after time, but I can feel him weakening against my strength, size, and power.

Before I can take advantage, he suddenly disengages and............. hovers, above me. I can make the leap but.... no, it's a trap, an invitation as it were. He wants me in mid-leap. Where I have no leverage.

A stand off! Two can play that game! Holding back my rage, my chest rumbles, a sub-audible growl merely felt. I look around.

The Gargoyle! Majestic will be my bait. He either comes down to fight me or Majestic dies now!

Gabrielle

Speaking softly, her voice soothing almost musical, "You know where my loyalty lies, Captain. You are my adoration, my wickedly delicious, insane creature. Betrayal it was not, it was merely...a feasting of flesh, besides isn't that what you enjoy quite often?"

The tiniest of smirks cross her lips as she looks to the lady, though her words are still towards the Captain, "Kill him if you must, Dear. I'll be within the dining hall. I'm famished."

Gabrielle, lifts her skirts, knowing it's best not to be around the Captain in such a bloody temper. Laughing for a moment, as she thinks of the heads that shall roll this evening..only hoping that the Captain does allow her a glimpse of the kill.

Osmond

I am far stronger than the old Osmond ever was. Both in body and in power. Even so, it seems I cannot defeat this wolf. Fenris is too powerful. I barely avoided its first assault.

Cunning too. I can see it is tempted to make the leap towards me but does not. What now? I watch as the wolf prowls the rooftop. Near the statue, it stops, and looks directly at me. Why?

It claws a furrow into the roof's stone floor, carving a notch deeply around the statue's tail.

Tail! It hits me as I actually look at the stature for the first time! Majestic! No statue at all but Majestic's day-perch.

The wolf rears rampant, about to smash against the wings, perhaps even push her over the edge! Damn! The prey becomes the hunter and I am now the prey!

I hurl myself at Fenris with all the speed and power I can muster. I know it is ready, but does it realize just how fast I am. Speed is my only hope.

I'm sure that to its eyes, I just.... disapeared. Perhaps I even slammed into it before the image faded from its eyes, for it took less than a 100th of a second to cover the short distance.

The impact bowls him over and I hear something crack, like a stone against a wall. I fear I have failed the gargoyle but there is no time to look.

Again we are in each others' clutches. I can feel and smell Fenris' fetid breath on my face, its jaws trying to snap shut on my neck, claws scrabbling to tear at my guts. It is all I can do, with arms legs and my all my telekinetic power, to hold it at bay. If there was anything left, I have projectiles in my pocket, some wood, some silver. I could flick one out and drive it into Fenris' body with my power, but there is none to spare.

Then I realize. I can do something the old Osmond would not, could not do. Slowly I tear at Fenris' head, pulling it back, exposing it's throat. I remember now. I have fangs too!

Jack

The hallway looks like a slaughterhouse. "Christ on his cross," I mutter.

"are you satisfied, Jack?" I hear Sancti say, but two things happen almost simultaneously, from below I hear a woman's scream and within seconds I hear a gigantic thud on the roof above.

"I'm going to the roof, Sancti! See about the girl !"

Charging to the end of the hallway, I burst through the attic door, up the stairs and against the locked roof door. "Damn!" I kick it once with no effect when I begin to hear snarls from outside. Drawing the Colt, I drive my shoulder into the planks and succeed in smashing it open.

I'm stopped by the sight at the far end of the roof. Harrison is writhing on the rooftop with a huge wolf - a wolf far too large to be natural. Majestic, frozen and helpless, is struck by their wrestling forms and nearly teeters over the edge.

Aiming at both, I try to decide where to put a round. Right now I'm still uncertain who the enemy is. Advancing another yard, I've not yet been seen, and I come to my decision. Aiming towards the bottom of the roofline and waiting til the one I want rolls into my sights, I hold my breat and hope Majestic doesn't go over.

When the one I want rolls into my gunsight, I squeeze the trigger, the report echoes loud beyond belief, and I bury a silver slug into the wolf's hindleg. From over my shoulder I hear Sancti shout something and a second report blasts out. (I'd been so astonished at the spectacle I hadn't even realized he was with me.)The wolf arcs its back in pain as a second piece of silver hurtles into it. It stretches out in agony and Harrison is frozen in surprise at the joint arrival of Sancti and I. We both have the time and the aim to bury another round directly into the beast's chest, but there are too many questions that need answering. I'm about to say, "The next bullet finishes this" when the wolf hurls itself over the roofline. I hear it cry out in pain and go crashing off through the woods.

I fire off another two rounds, but it's far too late. The beast is out of sight. Turning quickly, I line Harrison into my sights. "What can you tell me about that, Mr. Harrison?"

Brother Sancti

He heard it too, the thud and the scream. He follows Jack up to the attic. Just as he thought, it was locked, but Jack quickly busted it in. The roof door was also a bitch, but he managed to bust that in too. "Hey!", Jack yelled, and still pointing his gun, told the Fenris to step back from the gargoyle. Jack fires his first shot, lodgeing his bullet right into the wolf's leg.
Brother Sancti then stepped onto the roof, glaring at the huge wolf. "Put the gun away Jack. I'll take it from here", he said. He knew the Fenris could sense his immense holy power. Smiling, Sancti cocks his mace, and says, "I'm about to stick something very painful up your ass wolf-bitch". Brother Sancti fires a shot, and a silver steak lodges itself into the Fenris's hind. He perpares to shoot again.
Then things took a curious turn as the wolf howls, and hurls itself off the roof, and plummets to the ground. But just when you think the Fenris was going to go splat, it manages to dash off into the woods, still howling in pain. "I guess silver did the trick", Sancti thought to himself. Jack quickly turned his gun to a vampire by the name of Harrison, and asks him what this was all about. Brother Sancti cocks his mace then points it at Harrison as well, and says, "yes Mr. Harrison. Please, enlighten us".

"Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangggggggggg!"

I hadn't realized how acute my senses had become. I actually watched the bullet enter the wolf, as if in slow motion. Quite a shot actually, considering the situation. Or am I the target?

I kick away from the wolf as several more shots ring out.

"Bang, Bang, Boom Boom" The wolf convulses as each shot hits home. Then it goes over the side running into the woods. Running yes, but clearly terribly incapacitated.

Jack, his revolver now trained on me, and Sancti, disheveled and a smoking mace in his hand. Pulling back again on a hammer as he brings it to bear on me.

I make a quick decision. I decide not to decide. Not right now. Besides Fenris is getting away. If he's not mortally wounded, well, best to avoid that altogether.

"Gentlemen, Another time perhaps, There is 'unfinshed business' to attend to."

I smile, accidently flashing my fangs at them. No doubt that will make them more comfortable. I stand, jump the parapet, and before gravity can make an impression, I whisk my self away. I'm sure it will seem to Jack and Sancti as if I have just "disapeared" oh in say a 22nd of a sec.

I am soon on Fenris' trail. I come upon its body. A mere husk of what it was. Mere skin and fur, claws and teeth. And two silver bullets and two, hmmm, I'd call them spikes, silver spikes. I suppose Jack or Sancti would have been happy if it had been either Fenris or myself who had taken the first shot. Silver for me, any fast moving projectile for the wolf.

I wonder. I'm carrying a number of silver items Osmond used to use to battle vampires and haven't noted any ill effects. I bend over and gingerly pick up one of the spikes. Hmmm, no problem. If I'm a vampire, what kind of vampire am I? I must talk to Rhiannon. Perhaps she'll have some kind of idea. In the meantime, waste not want not. I collect the rest of the silver and light a match to the pelt. The flames consume the pelt in mere moments.

I begin retracing the path back to the Knight, senses flung out, aware that I must be on my guard in the future, now that I'm no longer human.

Brother Sancti

In a blink, Harrison disappeared. Sancti lowered his mace, and turned to Jack, "don't worry, he'll be back. Hes a vampire, but not an evil one as far as I can tell". The gargoyle tilts near the edge. Brother Sancti quickly rushes towards it, and catches it right before it falls with one hand. Lifting up the gargoyle, he places it back in its proper position. Then he walks back to the door. "Lets go Jack. There is nothing left for on this roof", he says.

Osmond

From a vantage point just beyond the woods, I watch as Sancti and Jack put Majestic to rights. Sancti is stronger than he looks.

When they descend, I flit back to the roof. Majestic looks to be okay, a few nicks and scratches. Nothing too serious I hope. One is a bit deep so I fashion a patch from some clay I fetch from the nearby streambed, and an emerald that I once took off of a vampire and has been in my pocket. A good luck talisman that I no longer feel is appropriate for me, considering my change.

I take a little time to wash some accumulated soot from Majestic's body, and perhaps let me imagination run away with me a bit.

'Anyone in there?' Just a gentle mental inquiry. They say gargoyles are no more than stone during the day. But the essence of the being must still exist. I wonder, what do gargoyles dream of.

Jack

I don't have Sancti's ease of mind where Harrison is concerned. At the very least he's proven to be not human. And the fangs are definitely new - I notice these kinds of things - which means he's changed in some root way.

Watching Sancti put Majestic right I wonder about him too. He tends towards the lunatic . He seems on the right side, but still. Both bare watching.

Looking out into the woods, I'm tempted to see if Harrison comes back this way, but as Sancti calls over to me I remember the woman's scream from downstairs and rush up behind the priest: "C'mon. We gotta go see who that woman was."

He picks up his pace, charging down the steps.

Brother Sancti

"Mighty good idea Jack. After we deal with that Jack, if think we need a good solid drink", he said. He went back down through the attic, and back into the hotel. He then listened for any sign of the screaming woman. All he could get was some light whimpering, but it was a start. "This way" he said, as he followed the sounds of the whimpering, which got somewaht louder as they got closer.

Rhiannon ~ Waiting For Osmond In Her Room

Pacing the floor and wringing my hands, I worry that Fenrisen is too strong and fierce for Osmond to be able to overcome. It's all I can do to stay put while all I can hear are muffled shouts and thuds coming in the window from the rooftop fight. Not knowing Osmonds new strengths or weaknesses leaves me feeling a bit helpless.

Suddenly, I hear shots ring out and a muffled cry, then a thud as something hits the ground. Rushing over, I get to the window just in time to see Fenrisen, in wolf form, running towards the woods. Osmond then goes past my window and is off after him.

Rushing to the door, I fling it open intent on going after Osmond to see if he's all right, I run smack into Sancti and Jack. Sancti catches me up around the waist and says, "Whoa little lady, where do you think you're off to? We need to talk!" Setting me down he turns me toward my door and ushers me back inside, following close on my heels.

Eyeing them nervously, it takes me a minute to figure out whether they are friend or foe... I don't sense any malevence from either of them, so I decide that the best thing to do will be to speak to them. "What do you want to know?" I ask them.

Gabrielle

Gabrielle flinches with each of the shots. Her mind instantly begins to search for the Captain, trying desperately to connect within him.

"Captain? Captain? Are you well?" her thoughsts seek an answer, that isn't forthcoming.

Gabrielle gathers her skirts, violets eyes widening as she looks about for any of the other guests.

"Where are you?" she continues trying the mental connection. Her lower lip trembling as another question is left unanswered. She takes a deep breath, trying to steady her soul, to reach deep within her core. Her eyes close as she leans against the wall, whispering her cries to those that give and take away her gifts.

"Me permettre la vision. "

A bolt of lightening seems to hit her body as she sees the bullets piercing the wolf's form. She contains her screams, her own fury building as she turns and heads for the door. Knowing the forest is where she will find him.

Jack

Looking warily at Petrova I begin to thread new rounds into the empty chambers of my revolver. She's dangerous and I don't trust her any more than I do anyone with the possible exceptions of Jimmy and Majestic, but she seems honest enough at the moment - and something's on her mind. That'll do for now.

"I only have one question, Miss Petrova," I say chambering the last round. "You know Mr. Harrison," snapping the cylinder home, and looking directly in her eye, "does he need to be put down?"
