As the title suggests this is a Fantasy Science Fiction story, and is a story. I will be editing and making these posts done here for a short novela on my webpage.

How that came to be is that I had, upon moving to a new server that allowed more adult oriented martial, opened up my page to allow for more adult aimed stories and art work.

BUT I was bombarded with badly writen porn and discustingly portraid gay blowjobs.

Talking to a friend of mine I decided that I should write a more adult story that will be the standard I can point to and say "See now when I say adult I don't mean skank"

This story is open for PMs but not for any other players but those invited. The story has an arch and something of a point, so pardon if anyone takes unkindly to it being a closed thred. Current players only include Myself and airbourne92

As a side note, apoligies that the first post is so long, I originally had started this on my own, then with the help of a friend who had to drop out, now here. So this is the entire story to this point.

Also since I do better with descriptions of looks in story form and in drawing, I included a drawing I did of the two lead charactors with this story. Enjoy.

The only active charactors so far are Rane and Creed.

Rane is a girl from a small boarder town. THe kindomes had resently gotten over wars and alot of trouble and now everyone wants to cling to a weird sort of peace but the boarders are under constant attack from bandits and murader groups. Rane's village is the victum of one such attack at the begining of this story.

Creed is a geneticaly and magicicly enhance super solder, a race born for war. When the wars ended his people were left at loose ends. Not enough mercinary jobs avalable to keep them in the fields they were trained for, feared because of thier differences. Many formed into bandit and murading groups that raided looted and raped the boarder town to a living. A rather harsh and often fatal living, but for many the only thing they could do since they were born to this and had no other skills past the arts of war.

Thus the story begins one beautful spring day...........

Creed's Rane

part one

Morning dawned on the small border town.

Farmers went out to their fields, girls tended flocks of geese and chickens. One girl led a bell cow with several others following to field after being milked. Rane took the moment in watching the herd to relax against a rock ridge and look over the valley and the small little town. Not that long ago it was a coal town, but once the coal was gone the town was left to a few farmers who wanted to stay after the wars ended and peace was returned.

Of course they say that they were foolish, but it had been ten years since the wars ended and nothing happened yet.

A group of rather rough looking men began stirring as the sun rose over the horizon. A few of the smaller ones put out the fires and cleaned up camp. The rest strapped on armor and loaded rather rustic looking rifles. As soon as they all had finished, the band marched off northward. In complete silence, the band of two dozen marched into a small village. They all had done this many a times before and needed no reminder. Nor did they want to risk the villagers discovering them before the time was ripe. Coming to the center of the village, a small well, the men stopped. The villagers waiting to get water stood frozen, not knowing what was about to happen. The more sensible villagers took cover. One large man stood at the front of the group. He lowered his rifle and the others did the same in perfect unison. Panic came too late to save any who stood around too long. The gun shots drowned out all screams. Ten or so villagers fell to the ground. The leader threw down his gun and pulled a large sword out from behind his back. With a blood-curdling scream, he charged at the rest of the villagers.

Rane looked up as the cows startled, she heard gun fire, then the blood curdling screams of people running en-mass. Eyes widening in horror she stood on her rocky spot looking back towards the village. When her mind finally wrapped around the thought that the town was being attacked, she turned and stampeding the cows ran towards the only safe place she knew. The woods and the old mine shafts in them.

A lone soldier stood on the outskirts of town, watching his brethren loot and pillage. He held the carcass of a large ram. It had been skinned to the bare bone, all except its head. He strung it up on a nearby tree, a warning to others. Blood stained his gloves and vest as he packed away the freshly cut meat into a sack. The symbol on his vest signified he had once been a lieutenant, but this no longer mattered. After being discharged, he turned into a barbarian savage much like the rest of his brethren. After gathering his possessions, he noticed a small herd of cows running for the woods. 'No sense letting a meal escape' he thought. He bolted after the cows loading his rifle as he ran.

Rane reached the edge of the wood, she noticed a few others running as well, those that had been into eh field, either ran back to the village, or away from it if they were smart. Her mother told her if anything happen, she should run. She felt no guilt right now as she ran for the wood reaching the tree line behind the cows. A bullet flew past her ear and a cow fell, she ducked down into the shrubbery rolling out the other side and running again. Mind going into a panic. They were coming after the runners!

The soldier quickly loaded another bullet into his rifle. One of the cows had already dropped and he was already focused on another straggler in the herd. With uncanny speed, he ran up beside the cow and fired. The cow tumbled over limp. The brigand skidded to a halt, looking back for the person that had dived in the bushes. Suddenly there was more than food on his mind.
The sounds of the runner in the shrubs drew attention to Rane though she tried to be quiet. She stumbled tripped and cursed. She was so close to the shafts. Once she was in there would be no way that anyone would find her down there!

The man jammed another bullet into his rifle and fired into a bush. A large farmer fell out of the brush, not the target he had spotted at first. There were other villagers about. He stood still for a few moments. His ears pricked and he darted towards Rane.

She heard the shot behind her, heaving labored breaths she found a pile of fallen trees and scrambled in among them hoping to distract and confuse her chaser.

The panicked footsteps stopped near a pile of wood. Approaching the last source of the noise, the man pulled a hand sized object from his pack. Lighting a small fuse, he tossed the object at the wood pile.

"SHIT!" and Rane came out the other side as the explosion knocked her several more yards to slam into the ground. "ow...."

She looked up and saw the mine shaft, a few more feet, that's all she had to do. She started getting up and running, her ankle hurting from a bad sprain and she cried out involuntarily.

"So there you are," said the man in a grim, monotone voice. The man was upon her before she even had a chance to realize what had happened. He pulled her up off the ground with a single arm. His eyes cold and fierce, he stared into the poor girl's face. "You're lucky I have a soft spot for young farm girls, otherwise you'd be dead by now," he said making a small grin.

Eyes widening with horror she kicked out and sunk her teeth into his arm, trying to force him to let go. She had to get to the shaft!

The ex-soldier let the girl go. He was nearly immune to pain, but he felt like being sporting. Besides the fun was in the hunt not the kill. He re-loaded the rifle and aiming high, he shot off a branch over Rane's head.

It crashed down narrowly missing her and she ran towards the mine, her steps limped but she ran desperate to escape this horror. She reached the entrance and disappeared inside, pulling herself into a small opening on the side that led into a tunnel, not one of the man made tunnels but a more natural one. It had been widen by miners over time. She use to play here as a child and light still filtered in through a hole in the tunnel somewhere. It would till noon, at least this close to the openings.

"Interesting. The cave will make a perfect spot for our little chase." The soldier took a pinch of white powder out of a pouch from his belt. His muscles stiffened and he let out a scream as he sprinkled the powder into his eyes. Once he could open his eyes again, they began emitting a blood red glow. Suddenly the darkness in the cave vanished. "Time for a little game of cat and mouse."

She crawled into a smaller space coming out into another tunnel the light was very dim here and close to a drop off into a dark abyss. She would have to walk carefully and watch her footing, or tumble over.
That wouldn't be a bad thing though if worse comes to worse. She thought to herself

Standing at the entrance of the cave, the man mutter a short incantation under his breath. A small ball of flame came to life a few inches above his hand. Holding it for a moment, as if admiring it, he yelled out, "I hope you enjoy this as much as me girl." With a swift motion of his hand, he sent the fire hurdling into the cave.

She lets out a yelp as the fireball explodes somewhere in the caves, she huddles close to the wall of the cave and held still a moment while her heartbeat slows

Creeping slowly into the cave, the man noticed a small figure huddled in a corner. "Too bad I was hoping for a little more fun than that." He walked over to the girl, no longer trying to be quiet.

She saw him coming and with eyes wide she stumbles back and nearly slips off the edge. Then turns and slides sideways as fast as she can move on a narrow ledge, hoping what her tiny form could manage would be too hard for him

Stopping at the edge, he turned face the fleeing girl. "Come now, you think a little ledge is going to stop me?" Stepping off the ledge, he falls for a few inches before rising again. "Nifty little pair of boots, wouldn't you say?" Walking across the air, he lifted the girl off the ground and held her dangling over the pit.

She stares at him with fear in her eyes and struggles, not caring if he dropped her. She was dead no matter which way she went now.
Looking the girl over, a smile comes the man's face. Running his free hand down her face and neck he said, "Maybe we can have some more fun. You may call me Creed if you like."

She bit his hand and sent her foot into his groin. Struggling desperately to be free.

Creed dropped the girl, who went tumbling down into the darkness. Keeling over, Creed hung upside down for a few seconds before slipping out of the boots. He fell straight down over the edge, and hit the ground right next to the girl.

She crashes striking a couple ledges before hitting the ground hard, breath knocked from her lungs. The cold surface was slick under her cheek and she laid still trying to clear her eyes of the false sparkles, the darkness closing in on her completely. Not fading consciousness, she would be so lucky, she hurt too much to be out cold. She finally started to move with a groan and felt something warm next to her. She stumbled back and nearly fell off the current ledge they landed on. She crawled to her knees and felt around, finding the ledge went on in a direction, so she started that way, if she got some distance maybe she could clime back up. She winced as a broken rib pulled slightly. This was not going to be fun. She found the cliff face and felt its unreal smooth vertical ledge. Not a single hand hold anywhere she could reach. With a small fit of temper she kicked it and sat against it. Arms crossed against the cold and waiting for death to wake up.

Creed remained motionless on the floor, apparently unconscious. Their fall attracted some unwanted attention, however, as low grunts could be heard approaching from all sides.

Rane pushed herself against the wall, she felt fearful, unable to see. She felt something touch her. Run lightly down her arm.
She let out a squeak hearing something shift and make a odd scraping noise, then suddenly she felt a hand pressed over her mouth, she tried to scream and push against a body then a second joined the first, and she was knocked unconscious.

Creed opened his eyes wearily, still too groggy to move. Two large figures dragged him through some subterranean city. The buildings were crudely made of dry mud and the guards carried primitive stone weapons. Reaching a prison building, the guards threw him into a shoddy cell where he promptly passed out again.

When Rane came too she couldn't see she heard voices talking crude langrage she didn't understand. It was so very dark. Something touched her and she bit a hand, receiving a slap for her efforts. Then suddenly she was flung and landed on another body. She wished she could see. Could know what was happening so she could feel something besides unreasoning fear.
Creed woke with a start, hearing a nearby cell slam shut. His cell was empty, no beds, seats or toilets. The beasts didn’t bother covering the floor with anything, but the walls were made of thick stone slabs. The cell door was made of a sturdy metal. His captors had been thorough in disarming him. They only left him his pants. One of the guards fiddled with his rifle, trying to figure out what the hell it was. Luckily, his night vision remained. IT would prove useful in such a place.

She felt whatever was under her and shuddered, slimy, long dead. She backed up till her back struck stone. She heard laughter outside wherever she was thrown crude langrage that reminded her of cat calls and commons of teenage boys. She turned her head away and tried to focus on the room, trying to hear everything, locate where she was and what was going on. Trying to slow her breathing "Almost wish that bastard was here" she muttered under her breath, "Then of course if he hadn't chased me we wouldn't be here!"

"I'm right over here, darling" said a voice from the next cell. "These creatures have most of my gear, so I think we're stuck here. That guard has my gun, but there's too many of them for me to kill even if I could break out."

She heard him and sagged "shit" she muttered. She flinched as she heard something open her cell. She tried to back up but something was on her, searching her looking for something "GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!!!" she screamed hearing something like amusement from outside the cell.

"No one messes with my prey." The rifle fired and a guard dropped to the floor, minus a head. A few moments later, Creed's cell door burst open. Another gunshot and the other guard dropped. Creed stood in front of Rane's cell, gun pointed at her head. "Do you know these caves? The correct answer could save your life."

"If I could see, I've played in caves all my life" she told him. Not able to see him, or his gun, only glad that whatever been touching her was dead
Her nose flared and she heard a sound, "Behind you" she told him suddenly.

"Good. If we get out alive, I'll let you live." Creed threw down the rifle. After a brief incantation, a small point of light started swirling around Rane. It lit up about a 20' radius around the girl. "By the way, I just ran out of bullets. Now let's get moving."

She threw a rock that came to hand with deadly aim and it hit a goblin like creature behind his shoulder "I said behind you!" she told him and stood straitening her dress tightening a knot in the shoulder of one side to keep it up and then went out, she crouched near the opening of her cell deciding not to look back into the cell, not wanting to know what's there. She glanced to the side and grabbed Creed's hand "If you have everything you need, we can get out that way"

Creed found a crude knife on the creature’s body. Slitting the thing’s throat a satisfied grin came over his face. "Thanks ...um girl. I hear guards coming from upstairs, let's go this way." He pulled the girl along until they came to a dead end. Creed tapped the stone wall and put his ear up against it listening for something.

Rane had grabbed up a couple items that had been sitting on the ground next to his cell, she didn't know what all they were but one was a small bag the other was just something she hoped was helpful, she tucked them into her apron pockets and followed she watched behind him as he listened for something. Her nose flared "I think your light on me is attracting attention." There has got to be a better way of doing this, she thought to herself.

Ten or so guards filled the corridor from the only stairwell. Creed paid them no heed as he continued inspecting the wall.

She picked up several rocks and rapid fire launched them at the surprised creatures. Who weren't expecting a fight from the female. "Common big guy, we really need to get going!!!"

Tracing a door on the wall with his finger, a faint green line appeared in the shape of a door. Grapping the girl, he sprinted for the wall and leapt into it.
She yelped startled as she suddenly fell through stone, only it didn't feel like stone. The goblins stared then started streaming towards the wall determined not to let them go.

The two slipped through the wall, landing on the other side. A few dull thuds followed after them. " I just had to make sure there was open space on this side. Stick close to me and I'll find a safe spot to rest. Let's get moving girl, I don't have much time before they figure out what happened."

She suddenly pulled on him "That way! The other direction will only take us around to the goblins or whatever the hell they are." she could smell the air, and the same fowl stench came from the other direction

Creed grabbed the girl around the waist and took off running. His stride was at least twice as fast as a normal human making it easy to avoid the search parties. Coming to the edge of the city, he dashed up a ramp and left his assailants in the dust. Running for a couple minutes, Creed stopped at a fork in the tunnel. Letting Rane down, he took a moment to catch his breath.

"We've lost them for now, girl, but they were tracking us by smell. We only escaped because they were too slow. We've got to find a way to mask our scents or they'll still find us."

She looked to the side and saw a cave mushroom, something she hadn't seen in ages since the minors stopped going into the caves. "Here!" she grabbed several and crushing them a pungent and strong smell coming up to his nose, it covered everything "Rub some of this on" she was already smearing some on his shoulders, it was cold and kind of gross feeling "We use to make a perfume out of this stuff back when our village mined these caves, it smells bad now only because it's strong, but this will keep even a dog from following you in raw form!" and she put some on herself adding more to the bottom of her shoes, Once it dried, which was quick the fungus didn't make the soles of her feet slippery. In fact it made them kind of tacky and gave better traction.

Creed

I rub the mushrooms on my arms, torso, and the soles of my feet. The odor was strong, but I smelled worse stuff before. I could hear the goblins gaining on us. 'She was useful to have along' I thought to myself.

"Ok girl, which way do we go now, left or right?" I asked.

((ooc, I long ago discovered I SUCK at first person writing forms. So hope that you do not mind that I keep writing in third person))
Rane

Rane looked around and closed her eyes now that they had paused her ribs started bothering her again. She held her side and looking for the fresher air pointed in a direction "Think we can take that way, only other thing I smell down there is fungus."

She already began walking that way since the sounds of the hunt were very far away yet and she was tired of being carried like a bag of potatos, especially by him.

It was his fault she was even in this mess.

Creed

"Ok, lets go" I say as I start walking down the right tunnel. I kept my pace slower than usual to allow the girl to keep up. 'The girl' I thought 'What a thing to call her, she is at least 20 years old.'

"What's your name girl, or do you prefer being called girl?" I asked as we walked.

"Rane" she said, not like that bastard really cared. Sure he already gave her his name, but it had been done in a more dominace thing. She still felt like shuddering when he had ran his hand down her face. So possessive and the way he talked to her was so cold. Truelly the enhanced solders were all barbarians and creeps!

She walked in the dull light he had casted and kept her eyes downward though her ears and nose were in constant work. Seeking out the way to go, she paused by a small opening, but the hole was much too small for either of them to squeeze through so she went on to the next best route.

Then the sounds of the goblin persute grew suddenly, frighteninly louder.

"It has to be the light!" she cursed, the fungus would cover any sent and with the ton still in the area they should have lost them. So they must see the light.

Creed

I turn to her and trace a symbol in the air with my finger. The light disappears. I grab her wrist and say " Alright Rane, let's go. I can still see in the dark."

We walk for a couple of hours more down this tunnel. It opens up into a small chamber. There is a small underground stream to the left and an alcove in the right wall. "We will rest here for a while" I say to Rane.

The more I think about her, the more I like the way she looks. I haven't had the pleasure of a woman in a couple of months, at least not a willing woman. That will to wait for now though. 'Right now we need rest, food and water' I think to myself. 'At least we have two of the three right here.'

"Get some sleep Rane, I'll keep watch" I say as I go to the stream to get a drink.

eep!

At his walk it was a run for the much smaller framed Rane. She stumbled along behind him thinking the noise would atrack pursute. But then finally they stopped.

"Get some rest Rane" and she was left alone in the dark, not knowing were things were or what was happening. She huddled small and drew up her knees eyes wide with fear. She couldn't sleep, she was exhausted, hurting because of the multitude of bruises and the broken rib. Now she panted softly her throat parched and her stomach making it's own needs known above the pain.

So she reached into her apron for something to keep her mind occupide, she encountered the pouch and other mysterious item she grabbed that must have been from Creed's supplies from where they were piled. She also had other little things in her apron one of which was immediately drug out with glee, the berries and rolls she had packed for her lunchon before the attack, a little crunch and very sloppy, but it was food.

Creed

I eagerly drink from the stream. It is cool, almost ice cold, and refreshing.

"Do you want some water Rane?" I ask her as I turn to see her sitting on the floor of the chamber.

Rane has her mouth full at the moment and can't really reply with berry jiuce running down her chin, she looks sheepish a little and swallows "um.. yea..."

Creed

I stand up and walk over to Rane. I help her up and walk her to the stream. "Kneel down and be careful not to fall in" I say. I watch her as she drinks from the stream.

"We need to find some food" I say to her as she finishes her drink.

She passes over the remnates of her lunch, there wasn't uch to start with and she ate half already. She might not like him, but currently he was the only one that could see and till then she wasn't sure what was edible down here. Fish maybe, lizards? But was there vegitables or other kinds of plant matter they could eat around the proteines?

She sat back after taking her drink fromt eh teeth bitingly cold water and rubbed her chin thoughtfully and then held out the pouch "Will this be helpful? Are your kind naterally able to see in the dark or can you do a spell? Can I learn?" she didn't want to be blind, she felt.. so vaulnerable. She didn't know, and wouldn't be able to act fast enough if he suddenly desided that since they were now 'safe' perhaps he should continue with what he started with back at the opening of the tunnels.

Creed

I qiuckly consume what little food she had to offer, it wan't much but it was at least something. I look at the pouch, it was the one that contained the white powder.

"You are more useful than I originally thought" I say as I take the pouch from her. "I can make it so you can see, but don't try anything foolish. Just tilt your head back and keep your eyes open, this will sting a little for a moment."

She tilts her head back and keeps her eyes open as I sprinkle a pinch of the powder into her eyes.

She screams as the pain hit her, sting-was an understatement. She closed ehr eyes and pushed her palms into them trying to releave the intense burning before it finally fades and she blinks, first at her hands, then at the ground. It wasn't -quite- like true site, everything had weird colors and tones of shading. Suddenly there din't seem to be shadows either.

It was quite disorientating.

She stood and looked around at the water the walls and the tunnels before her gaze fell upon Creed and she blinked at the change, well partly because the dim lighting she had not had much time to relly look at him and when she first saw him above ground he wore armor. Now he was down to the minimal and looked.

He looked like any of the other guys that were her age at the village.

Which she desided she didn't like. Not in one bit.

He's still a monster at heart, will always be. A monster hidden in the skin of a man she thought to herself frowning slightly then she turned and walked to the side of the cave, a slightly secluded nook where she could curl up slightly and try to gain some semblance of comfort, her first duty being to shorten her skirt a few inches so she coudl make a wrap for her rib. Anything ot ease some of hte pain, the other was to go through everything she had in her pockets. Locate every bit and peice of useable equiptment and items.

As well as figure out what in hell the one strange item she had thought was part of Creed's gear but now wasn't so sure. Once she had wrapped her rib glaring at Creed who seemed amused in some weird way she didn't want to know what he was thinking as she tighten the straps and chopped another piece to wrap around her bust and flatten her breasts a little since the wrap job made them.. a little too prominate for her comfort under his gaze.

Glaring at the merc she went back to studing the strang device and the little buttons and what nots on them. She wasn't sure what it did, didn't know if it was good or bad.

Only had a feeling that it was harmless and likely quite useful. Accedently her fingers sank into spots of patterns she had thought were just circular patches of design. Suddenly the thing glowed and aome sort of, illustion, sprang to life. Creed forgotten she studdied the lines and eddies and strange markings til she noticed one patch in the line that glowed and another patch that seemed to mark a type of population.

"The caves! This is a map of the tunnels!!!" she crowed jubilantly pleased with her discovery.

Creed

"Well if that is a map of the tunnels, then where exactly are we Rane? And how do we get out of here?" I asked her as she made her discovery. I looked at the device she was holding. I had not seen one since the wars had ended. It was a mapper, at least that is what we called it.

She frown and gives Creed a dark look.

"Seems this is were we are," points to the lite up area "But I'd still have ti figure out what all this means, I think this is the place we came from.. and past that I don't know how far they carried us before we got there. I know from what the minors told me when I was young that there weren't any civilizations close to our town in the underground. So.. it must have been aways....." seems distrated, and when she released the grip the device turned off, so she tucked it into her apron pocket and leaned against the cave wall.

Arms folded and begining to feel the cold and damp. The stone seemed to just suck the heat from one's body. She wished she had a blanket her light summer cotton dress did nothing to help with heat presservation.

Needed to be out, only she didn't know where or how, or even how to read the one thing she felt was the key, maybe they should follow the green lit path? They seemed to be on it already, just head back down the tunnel that brought them here a little ways and take the last three way turn. Sharp left and it had a destination marked. Not like the marking that she figured was the Goblin fortress.

She hoped it wasnt anything like that, it would be all they'd need to run into something worse than a bunch of stupid goblins. She heard of other races, some very dark and full of evil, let alone rumors of strange creatures that sought out bodies to feed on. Wispered comments she overheard as a child of things in the dark that made grown men blush or bust up in brawdy laughter.

Likely just a bad joke but sometimes weird things could be real and she didn't want to be the one to find out if it was so.

Creed

I look at the map as she pionts to the various areas. There is a green path marked on it, and we are already on the path. It leads to a destination of sorts. It had to be better than where we were. Rane puts the device away and leans against the wall and folds her arms, as she starts to shiver a little, trying to stay warm.

"You're not used to dealing with hardships like this, are you?" I ask as I walk over to her.

Without waiting for an answer I pull her to me and wrap my arms around her to help her warm up a little. It has been a long time since I held a woman like this, but now was not the time to be thinking like that.

"We should follow the path on the map. We can get to where it leads in a few hours. Do you think you can do it?" I ask her, this time waiting for her response.

Rane was stiff nad shocked, as well as a little scared wondering just what the hell his angle was.

"Um.. yea, I can, just sore from the rough treatments is all, yea.. maybe it'll be a way out" her vioce cracked and she thought of what he said as he held her and she tried to pull away a little not wanting to be this close to him.

Not use to hardships.. well not like this, she usualy always had a place that was warm a bed to sleep in, and hot food. She didn't even know if her parents were alive now. Did they escape the village? Were they hurt? Dead?

She tightened her jaw and refused to cry, not infront of this monster who caused the pain she was in to begin with!

Creed

She started pulling away so I let her go. No sense in making things worse than they already were. There would probably be more problems ahead anyway, he didn't need her being hostile as well.

"Alright then, if you're ready let's get moving" I say as I start wlking back the way we came. We were able to move a reasonable pace even with her injuries. It took a little less time going back to the intersection. We took the sharp left that the map showed. It took another hour or so to reach the destination. The tunnel opened into another cavern.

This cavern had a stream as well, only this tim it was on the right side. To the left was a stone building, about the size of an average house, not much different than one of the houses in the village.

"I wonder who built this" I say to Rane.

As they came in the first thing Rane noticed looking up was that there was a sorce of light, it wasn't sunlight but it glowed dimmly over them somewere in the 'roof' of the cave. She looked at the little house and saw an emblem on the door she reconized "Magehouse" she muttered and walked twords it, careful to look for any form of trap.

But nothing stopped her from aproaching the door and looking inside. "It's safe"

Inside was oddly 'larger' than outside looked. Magelights lit the rooms and halls, it wasn't outragiously huge or extravagant. Not a castle by far, but a very practical and cozy home.

One that oviously had not seen its owner in many weeks.

Rane ran her finger over a dusty mantal and rubbed her fingures together. She walked into a large looking kitchen and then Creed heard her squeel of shock, but in there she was not hurt or anything bad but happily browsing fully stocked pantry "Magic! Can't you feel it? I think I like this wizard, most magic users are so impractical!"

She pulled fresh fruit off a shelf and looked at it, fresh as if picked this morning, however this worked she didn't care, as long as it was a regular thing!

Creed

I head into the kitchen to see what the commotion is about. I watch as she pulls a piece of fruit from the cupboard that is fresh, and it shouldn't be. I look in there and get some meat and cheese to eat.

"Well, at least this wizard believes in his comfort" I say to Rane as I look around the kitchen for a knife. I find one in a drawer and cut a piece of cheese and a piece of sausage for her.

"Here" I say handing her the meat and cheese. "We should check the rest of this place out when we are done eating. There may be other stuff inhere we could use."

Rane

She nodded and ate in silence tightening her wrappings before heading off to explore.

Other than dirty theplace was quite comfortable. Fireplaces, and containers of wood ready for use. Chairs couches and even a coupel rooms with beds and bathing rooms with running hot water.

This wizard was a very practical man.

She was playing with the water eddies in an indoor garden growing in a conservatory twords the back of the house, tears unknown sprinkled her cheeks as she thought of nothing past the fact that she was tired and hurt. She whiped at her nose and tried tog et back her composer but the sitchuation was catching up to her and she was going into shock.

At least she had a moment alone to cry without being watched.

I ate in silence, watching Rane as she ate in silence. She had reason to hate me, but I made a promise to her. I meant to keep it, I still considered myself a soldier. I still had some honor left.

I walked around the house looking for anything of some use. In one of the bedrooms I found some clothes that would fit me, and a long tunic that should fit Rane. I went into one of the bathrooms to get cleaned up. A hot bath was something I hadn't had since the last time I had had a willing woman. Things were looking better all time. After I finished cleaning up and getting changed I went looking for Rane. I found her in an indoor garden at the back of the house. She looked like she was crying.

"Rane, I found you something to wear" I say. She turns to look at me and I can tell she has been crying.

She looks startled at creed then turn and wiped hastily at her eyes "Um.. yea" she got up and quickly tookt eh garment from him with plans to go hide in one of the other rooms, perferably one with a lock on it.

"Look, I'm not as bad as you think I am" I say to her as she gets up to leave. I need her to at least be sociable if we are to get out of here.

"We can't be at each others throats if we are going to survive" I say. "So you could try to be a least a little more hospitable" I almost have to yell at her as she keeps on walking. I don't even know if she was listening to me. Yeah I had help to destroy her village, but that is what I was bred and trained for, what did she expect, a perfect gentleman.

She ignored him, he wanted her to be sociable? After what he did to her home.. to her?

She couldnt' wait to get out but as she closed a door softly without slamming though she wanted too, but that was a childish action and did no good, and then checked for a lock she was disapointed to find none. With a sigh she turned away fromt eh door and started to remove clothing and bandaging. She rather would like to have tried a bath but she was too stiff and was afraid she wouldn't be able to get out without help.

Soon nude she cheked the bruising and frowned at the wide one over her ribs that was turning dark and went from under hr brests to somewhere on her back, she was so stiff and hurting. Wincing she started rebandaging the area slowly and with a hiss of breath as once releaved from the tight bindings the abused skin and broken rib did not want it back on.
