Crescent Ville OOC

http://static2.hypable.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/The-Vampire-Diaries-Jeremy-season-5.png
Name: Jeremy Wayne
Height: 6'0
Hair Color: 5ark Brown
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Age: 20
History: Jeremy's family line, the Waynes can be traced down back to old Kansas, horse riding Chicago and even Occeania. They have always been hunters. Witch hunters. At age 16, Jeremy's parents died in a ghastly motor accident, ofcourse the truth was that they were murdered.
Since then Jeremy (AND HIS SENIOR BROTHER, IF SOMEONE IS WILLING TO PLAY THAT PART.) had been leaving with their uncle, Chris Wayne. Also known as Old Man.
With Old man's six room cabin now filled up and his students now ready to protect the world, Old man initiated a move. To move to Crescent Ville, a town deep inside Virginia.
"There're witches, and there're witches. The ones there are the witches among witches. If we can cleanse Crescent ville, we can clean anywhere." he told the group of seven.

And to wolfsister, maybe your character can work at an on campus coffee shop?

Oooh that sounds like a good idea

SlippedHalo:
That sounds awesome. I'm going to be the younger of the two and less serious as I work hard for a living so like to live it up when I'm not working :)

Here goes:

Name: Lily Cooper
Age: 25
Eyes: Warm brown
Hair: Wavy, shoulder length, copper/brown
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 125 lbs
Figure: Full and curvy
Faction: Human
Australian :)P)

Lily owns the "Crescent Moon" (though most people call it "Moony's") a local campus Café that caters to most of the college. Moony's can hold eclectic events, seminars, readings etc and is often the called the Hub of student life. Being a Highschool dropout, Lily is more street and business savvy than academically smart. She's sassy, often bossy and generally always up for a good laugh.

Though she's close to most of her 'regulars' there is one person whom she resonates deeply with. She once spilled coffee all over a new customer; Morrigyn Lucimere, and they instantly became good friends.

And 'instant' means that Lily badgered Morrigyn for her friendship for several months before the other finally relented much to Lily's delight.

Age 25? There goes my chance of having a thing with the manager of Moony. I'm just 20. Fuck!"
LOL, YOUR CHARACTER HAS BEEN HEARTLY RECEIVED. I'LL POST A CHARACTER SHEET THIS NOON.

So? What's wrong with dating an older woman? My character has casual relations with a couple of students as well as other professors. Age is not an issue to her if they are over 18. I find secure males don't worry about a woman's age if she's vibrant and fun.

There's absolutely nothing wrong in dating an older woman, infact i find them more experienced and mature than the young ones.
I only needed a go ahead, i'm fine with the theme.

What do you all think?

I was wondering if we should divide the story into episodes. What i mean is before the first post in the ic, we'll discuss here the suitable name for the episode as well as major plots/events that will take place in that episode.
For example.
Episode 12: Cat out of the bag
Main plots/events:
* Jake finds out Elena is a witch
* The Dean finally reveals his identity to the group
* Callisto discovers the ancestral connection between her and the hunter.
* The hunter's hideout is finally known.
etc.
Now this major events are to take place in this episode, so however we write or roleplay, we'll keep in mind that these things will happen. That way the story will be organised and connective. All great movies have it, and great novels call it chapters. This'll prevent contradictive posts and OP character situations.
Now i'm thinking each episode should be after or at 100posts. Though this depends on the number of players.
What do you guys think?

It takes the fun out of it for me. I like overall planning but left loosely because part of the reason I enjoy role play as opposed to my offline writing is the unpredictable nature of it and having to think up character appropriate reactions to situations or other's actions.

I hope things won't get overly complicated with rules and directives.

My humble $.02...

While I have seen RP's that last for a long time get broken into 'chapters', I don't think that a set of small chapters set up on specific events would be a very good idea. this is primarily free-form role-play. Best to just let it flow.

If the need arises to break it into another story arc, we can deal with it then.

Welcome Echo.
Its nice to have a hot witch like you on board.
Now i agree with you all. No episode thing.
All hunter know themselves. They don't particular leave together but have the same leader. (old man)
They all wear the brotherhood ring that protect them from witch spells (not applicable to grand powerful witches)
The ring hasten healing and repair of bones, gives them more stamina and speed (nothing like moving in a blur) and revives them when killed.
All this as long as the ring is on your finger.
**
Slippedhalo, think up attributes for the witches.
I'll go ahead and post the ic.

Is this a modern world? What's the history?
Honestly, as an actual witch in reality, I'm not sure what "attributes" you mean for this fiction thread? Do you want them realistic or more grandiose?

Witch traits: Highly attuned to nature and sensitive to other's emotions to the point of empathic, prognostic, preconfigured, and medium-like abilities in a few powerful ones.

Witches have a high regard for Sciences and creative arts all dealing with nature and beauty, which is what they worship, nature and natural beauty. They often are gifted in healing and good at science, cooking, and gardening. They have an affinity for preserving life but can be deadly with their skills if the need arises. They often are kind to animals and the innocent. They love plants and the outdoors, outdoors, especially at night.

Witches can vary widely in personality and ability, though, just like any other kinds of people. Most witches are female but some born male and raised in witch families remain magic users.

Witches pass their knowledge, wealth, and traditions down through maternal lines. Women often have no way of knowing the fathers of their children anyway since many witches do not believe in marriage which only serves patriarchy. The natural sexuality of the female is not suppressed in witch culture so they do not slut shame a woman who chooses to have sex. She's respected for listening to the desires of her body. And, pregnancies are rare but as, traditionally, witch women refrain from drinking the anti-conception elixer on six feast days throughout the year, when they may still partake in carnal pleasures, merrybegotten children do occur. Merrybegots strengthen witch bloodlines and these children are seen as good luck to their families. They are their mother's fruit. No man is seen as attached to the child.

Name: Joseph Coleman

Age: 21

Appearance: http://data.whicdn.com/images/783920/large.jpg

Height: 6'6"

Eyes: grey

Faction: Human

History: Joseph had a normal childhood. He had loving parents, and made great grades in school. But he was always bored with his life. He started selling weed in high school, and now he has a booming drug business on the campus of Crescentville. This is mostly because of his special selection of drugs of his own design.

I see no problem with having a younger lover

But remember, that part of the plot was just a musing and something to be explored during role play.

I will post something tomorrow night.

And dude: its five years...... come on! I'm not a spinster lol!

I apologise for how long it's taking to get my bio post up. My internet is on the fritz.

Age difference isn't a huge deal to me lol. I'm 18 and my limit is around 50

Name: Jon Kaiser

Age: 20

Height: 5'11"

Hair: Light Brown

Eyes: Grey

Appearance: Jon has a tall, narrow build and a graceful stride. His wardrobe consists mostly of expensive suits with a few business casual outfits for social events. He wears a pair of half-rim glasses and white silk gloves.

History: Jon doesn't really talk about his past that much, but his extensive knowledge of poisonous plants hints at his parents possibly being botanists. He has been a Hunter for only a few months and still has some doubts about their goals.

Affiliation: Hunter

Oh Ha Ha....

And how long have you known me?

(Stop hijacking the thread, Mantra!)

Come on everyone, 25 isn't old. We've a 35 here and everyone thinks she is a hot teacher.
I merely asked for her permission, to know if she is not affected by age barriers.
Trust me, some writers are.
So leave my girl alone!!!!

Okay I wouldn't mind joining and to break the stereotype mold here I would love to play a Male witch.
