Quinn also gives Ireena her space. she understands, as she feels tremendous guilt over it herself. She also knows though that in the long run destroying strahd will save far more lives than saving the one at the farmhouse. she helps make dinner, being quiet herself as she wrestles with the decision internally.

Lucan walks over and wraps his arms around Quinn after she finishes helping with dinner. "I know that was a tough choice, and maybe not everyone agreed with it.. But it was the right one to make. Risking our lives to save one instead of being ready for this fight to save thousands would have a wreckless plan. We saw what one of those scarecrows could do, twenty or more.. It would have been rough. I know you're still thinking about it,but you made the right call today Quinn. Don't beat yourself up over it." He squeezes her arm gently before taking a seat on a sofa across from the fireplace.

Quinn smiles and presses into Lucan a little "thanks" she says quietly "i know Ireena's mad about it but. You're right. We can save so many other people. we're the first to have a real chance at this. we can put an end to this forever. we cant risk that for one man"

Lucan shakes his head, "I dont think she's mad. She may not have agreed with the decision, but to me she didn't seem upset. I'm sure she's just thinking about tomorrow. Everything is going to change for the people here. I'm sure she's excited about it, but I'm sure she's also nervous. This has been her life since she can remember and in one night that all can change. I'm sure I'd be a little nervous too in her shoes."

QUinn nods "we should all be a little nervous. its life or death, and escape or being stuck here forever." she brushes her hair back and sighs "I want us all to make it back." she looks into the fire "im glad we have this place. that we get one last night of piece before the madness. I'm glad we're all together"

Lucan looks over at Quinn, "You're not wrong. But this is what I'm meant to do, kill undead and make sure people are safe. We will make it out of this. We are going to free this land from his grasp and then take Ireena and show her what she's been missing. I know We are all nervous, its just harder on some than it is others. One more night of peace before all hell breaks loose." Ireena moves quietly behind Quinn and wraps her arms around her. She presses her forehead against Quinn's shoulder and closes her eyes. "I'll make sure you are safe tomorrow, whatever it takes. I know i can distract him, its me he really wants after all."

Quinn keeps herself from frowning "be careful. Lucan seems to think if i bring someone back from the dead there could be issues so, the best thing is for us all to make it out of here alive."

"I'll do my best, but I want to make sure you're safe. And if he kills me he can't go through with his plans. So maybe that'll stop him from killing me.. As long as you're safe though, that's my concern right now." Ireena kisses Quinn's shoulder and holds her close. "I know we need to all make it out alive, but we might not have that choice."

Quinn nods "yeah but we don't have to heroically sacrifice ourselves either. lets just take it as it comes" she kisses ireena's forehead, then curls her in against her "and for now lets have one last quiet night. turn in early, just... be ready for tomorrow" she runs her hand along Ireena's back "its a shame we don't have a map of the place"

Ireena nods and just holds Quinn against her. "I wish we did. But none of us have ever been there and I wouldn't know where to find a map of his place. One more quiet night sounds good. Whether or not I'll be able to sleep though.. I honestly don't know. I'm nervous and tomorrow is a big day.." Lucan laughs quietly, "A map? We haven't been lucky enough on this trip to come across one out of the blue. We have the symbol and sword. Not to mention all of us against him. We will be fine, it will be tough, but no one is going to die. We are going to be smart, and we are going to be cautious. We won't let him get the best of us. But Quinn.. You need to be ready for him to try and use Ireena against us, you know that right?"

Quinn nods and keeps her arms around Ireena "i know. We have to be ruthless. At the end of the day his death is more important than any of our lives. We have to be cold, in a way. It's important that we're united in this. We all have developed relationships here, even if erlan's is just with you as his friend. we can't let those relationships stand in the way of the goal. it sucks but, there's more on our shoulders than the things we want" she slips her arms tighter around Ireena, wondering if it might really be the last time. she looks over to Lucan "you guys just have to keep him off my if anyone falls. I don't know how often we can do it but i guess, we get at least one shot."

Ireena holds Quinn tight against her but doesn't speak. Lucan looks over at Quinn trying to give her a reassuring smile. "We will figure it out. If someone goes down we can keep him off of you, or at least I can. I'll make sure there's an angel there to protect you too. Even if something goes wrong when they come back, we will get it fixed. Its going to be rough to watch anyone go down, but remember I can always heal someone and get them back in the fight if that happens. But if they die, it'll be on you to get in and get out before he can manage to get to you. The daylight will distract him and I'm sure he's going to hate seeing that sword again. We are all going to get through this, I know it. Its not going to be easy by any means, but we will."

Quinn nods "what can you tell us about what to expect out of his powers? also will the daylight kill him? or will it just hurt him? is there anything we should be doing to prepare specifically for vampires? we still ahve that holy water i think we got from the morninglord temple right?"

"We do still have holy water, so that should help. The sunlight will hurt him, but it probably won't be enough to kill him unfortunately. If by chance you have any radiant spells use those. I dont know what his powers will be, though I guess he uses spells so we will have to be careful of that. He was a soldier so I assume he's good with a sword as well. Other than that, just dont attack him with normal weapons and we should be able to do enough damage to kill him off before he can kill us."

Quinn nods "that big green field i have is radiant. i think. so aybe ill open with that. we need to stay out of it but its a decent opening volley. at the same time maybe i should just stick to sniping, keeping him off us directly, making him move to us."

"That madness is radiant? That is surprising. But that will be a good start. And then if he tries getting out i can try to direct him back into it with the sunlight. Or you can hit him back with your blasts. But then he will probably start coming after us. But keeping him back and just letting him soak up damage is our best bet." Lucan looks into the fire and sighs. "Hopefully it'll all go in our favor."

Quinn nod s"yeah its radiant and they also sap their energy and can become exhausted to death. i dont know if that affects undead but hopefully maybe. ill lead off with it" she shrugs and presses into Ireena a bit and kisses her neck softly.

"It will be effective even if it doesn't exhaust him to death at least. That spell will be really effective. Thats a good start to the battle." He smiles and looks into the flames before standing to get some food. Ireena smiles and leans into Quinn. "I think that will be a good start against him. It'll be a tough fight, but I think we are ready for it."

Quinn nods "lets turn in. we can the three of us chatter a bit before we drift off" she stands up and heads upstairs, stripping out of her clothes and slipping into the extremely comfortable sheets on the bed, waiting for her lovers to arrive.

Ireena comes up shortly after Quinn and straps before slipping into bed. She cuddles in close to Quinn and runs her fingers lightly over Quinn's stomach. Lucan walks in a few minutes later after finishing his meal strips down. He slips into bed on the other side of Quinn and sits up on his elbow looking over at the two beauties. Ireena kisses Quinn's shoulder. "We will probably arrive at his castle just before nightfall tomorrow. Just so you both know."

Quinn nods "lets not think about that too much" she keeps on her back, looking up at Lucan and biting her lip. she slips her left hand along Ireena's skin, just trouching her, then reaches up with her right to run through Lucan's shaggy black hair "you should get this cut. its been a while" she smiles though, sort of kidding around "gotta look presentable you know. I can't be kicking around with a bunch of people that don't take care of their looks. image is everything"

Lucan laughs and shrugs, "I know, but the last time I had the chance was back in Vallaki. But I'll get it taken care of soon enough. Since now image is everything, and once we leave here our names will probably be somewhat more known." He leans over and kisses Quinn's cheek. "Besides, its easier to pull when its a bit longer. Makes it a little more fun now and then." Ireena smiles at Quinn, "You're right, I won't bring it up again tonight." She looks over at Lucan and laughs. "I actually didn't think it looked too bad. You have to make sure Quinn's happy though, no shaggy hair anymore." She kisses Quinn's shoulder lightly and keeps running her fingers lightly over Quinn's skin. "At least if I ever look too sloppy I can change my appearance with magic."

Quinn grins "it looks good. I'm just giving you shit to lighten the mood" she tousles it a bit, then leans up to kiss him, tugging on his lip and feeling his stubble against her mouth. she sighs and settles back down, then turns and kisses Ireena, feeling the softness of her mouth against her. she closes her eyes and lets her fingers wander, not really to be sexy but just to keep touching her companions and build up that relationship so if anything happens she has this moment to hold on to.

Lucan smiles and traces his fingers over Quinn's arm. "I know you are. Its just fun to give responses back sometimes when you're giving me shit." He leans down and kisses Quinn, this time making sure its a longer kiss. He tugs at her bottom lip as he pulls away and lays back down. "Im glad we are all here. This month has been pretty amazing, even with its downsides. And now we're all cuddled up in this nice little cabin for the night. Sometimes I'd rather be somewhere quiet like this instead of Absalom."

Ireena looks over at the other two and runs her fingers through Quinn's hair. "You realize I'm going to blow some of our shared money from all this as soon as we get there right? I'm getting so many sweets, and random shit I've never seen. Maybe I'll even be nice and buy you two something.. We'll see." She smiles and leans down to kiss Quinn quickly.

Quinn kisses Lucan again "you're a little shit" she laughs and pinches his nipple, then kisses him again, sliding her tongue along into his mouth a moment, then tugging on his lower lip. she turns and rolls towards Ireena, kissing along her shoulder. she runs her fingers along under her breasts, just stroking her stomach and chest a little "that's not blowing. that's you living a real life for the first time ever. that's you seeing the world and experiencing all the good things in it." she kisses Ireena again, then again and again, lingering on her mouth a long moment "that's what money is for"
