What do you think is going to happen when impeachment reaches the Senate?

A long and drawn out "dog and pony" show that will have the public seething.

Mitch is probably already working on a game plan.

I’d have to look into the details, but I’m pretty sure he could delay/ stall it to where it happens in the election year. I just can’t see it getting fast tracked.

Either way, I don’t see Trump being removed from office.

Sooner or later the whistleblower’s name is going to be made available to the public.

They really have no evidence against Trump while there is ample evidence re. Biden. Then they have to come up with a 2/3's majority to convict.

I believe that there is more to the dems obsession with Trump than mere TDS. I seriously see this maniacal behavior as an attempt to smoke screen something and not Biden per se'. It's bigger and deeper than what we're seeing on the surface.

The Senate has sat back and watched this BS for almost 3 years. Most of the Senators have already formulated an opinion by now. I doubt there will be a 2/3’s majority vote or even close. Had the House initiated this inside the first year of Trump’s presidency, they might have had a snowball’s chance in Hell to remove him. Now, it’s just a political move: Impeach him because we can’t beat him attitude.

Honestly, I think the Democrats’ TDS stems off the fact they won the popular vote and lost the election. It doesn’t matter which Republican nominee won the election. It boils down to the fact they couldn’t beat the electoral map.

...and if Republicans want to investigate, then it's a coverup.

Some independent journalist might noodle it out,
but only well after-the-fact and the chips have fallen.

Impeachment happens in the House and tried in the Senate. Care to share what you think will happen in the Senate since impeach falls solely on the House?

He'll be impeached. Impeachment is the process, not the result. Just like Bill Clinton, the con artist will have been impeached.

If Moscow Mitch has anything to do with it, probably nothing. Which hopefully will end his career next time he runs again ... or doesn't.

If it's up to Roberts, it could be a toss up.

On the WB (or 'Lamplighter' to use the term preferred by Serpico in reference to Paul Revere), that name may not matter as much as their source.

I can see that card getting played several times by the Democrats

Who is protecting what?

First of all the government is actually being run by a host of nameless, faceless, unelected bureaucrats. In 1962 those bureaucrats were allowed to unionize under EO 10988 issued by JFK. At that point in time it was virtually guaranteed that the unionized workers were going to swing left politically. ie. become supporters of the democrat party. If you look at voting records over the years that has come to pass.

So, the democrats in a very real way are protecting their constituency. By catering to the government workers unions they in effect exert more control over the government than our elected officials. Anyone who attempts to weed out the partisans in the government workforce represents a very real threat to the democrats unseen hand of control. Those that represent that threat must be destroyed at any cost.

What did Trump run on besides immigration? "Drain the swamp." With enough evidence of corruption within the bureaucratic ranks a president, any president, can rescind EO 10988. Think that's danger enough for the democrats?

There's an old SciFi novel out there written by Poul Anderson named "Boat of a Million Years" that goes into a good deal of detail concerning how the bureaucracies metastasize over time by following the life of one of the characters in the book.

That said, I really think the case needs to include more than this phone call. His entire tenure has been riddled with offenses that could and should be included.

Bwahahahahaha!

There is already more than enough evidence against Trump and absolutely no evidence against Biden.

Did you start drinking early today?
