“Well long story short, your sister had a melt down, had a fight with Carson, then called your mother." Jacey said. "Now you go down stairs and watch your father. I don't trust that women." Jacey said with a shake of her head before she left the room.
Christy looked at Chaz. "In other words she's jealous of Carla and doesn't want your mother near Jake.' She said.
Chaz just smirked.
“Weird. I think the last week has been the craziest week anyone could even dream of happening. But has been eventful.” Chaz said as he got dressed and headed downstairs. He had a bit of an idea that he would be walking into a giant mess.
________
Jacob didn’t reply to his daughter. He did actually have feelings for Carla. He was paying her extra alimony than she requested. The funny part is that since Carla walked out…Jacob didn’t have to pay her at all. He wanted her to be taken care of. The issue was that Carla could never be a true number one with Jacey on his mind. Carla knew it.

Carla pulled away and kissed his nose.
"Your taller then me Carson. How did you grow up so fast?" She asked,
“It has been too many years mom. I am just happy you are here now. I just want you to know…I don’t hold anything against you leaving. It hurt…and I will say I know dad hurt. I don’t know how much Chole or Chaz know as to why. I overheard more than a couple of your arguments. The whole thing sucked. I love you mom.” Carson said and smiled.
"Carson would you be a gentleman and take me inside? Your sister seemed upset on the phone and I don't want to keep her waiting." She said sweetly.
“Okay two things.” Carson said laughing nervously.
“One…quick update on the Smith clan. Aunt Jacey finally got a divorce and just moved back here.” He said looking at his mother for a moment.
“Her daughter Cousin Christy came along. The next part is that Chole is primarily pissed at me. Vice versa. So number two…I do pride myself on being a gentleman but for my services of escorting you inside…I want you to agree to let me take you to dinner just the two of us.” Carson said smiling.
Jacob walked outside with a expressionless look.
“Hello Carla.” Jacob said at first.
“I want you to know..you are welcome in this house. You always were even after…you left. You are the mother of my children…you know that holds a lot value to me.” Jacob said somberly.
“I wish you would have contacted me when you returned. I thought you were still out west. No one said any different to me. Then again…I don’t talk much to my mother’s side of the family.” Jacob said and looked at Carson.
“Your mother is my second cousin. Your grandmother and her grandmother were first cousins.” Jacob said to Carson just as Chaz came out.
Chaz gave a once over looking up and down at his mother. Chaz wasn’t quite as warm as Jacob much less Carson. Carson took his mother’s hand in his and walked her toward the house as Chaz and Jacob went ahead of them inside.
“It will be okay mom.” Carson said as the new revelation kind of hit him. Second cousins. He already knew that there was a intense rivalry between Jacey and Carla. He didn’t exactly know how far dad had been with Jacey till recently. He originally figured there was just a clash. He even knew from drinking with his dad that Carla grew up as best friends with Jacey. This whole thing just keeps getting more intriguing.
