Couldn't decide between smile and sense of humor. Chose sense of humor since I hear that way more than you have a nice smile.

A lot of people that either don't like themselves, don't actually hear the compliments that are given to them, or simply choose not to believe them. EVERYONE as at least one aspect to them that is attractive to another person. I am 6'5 which is borderline circus tall. Some women love tall some women don't. I have a hairy chest. Once again some like that, some don't. I get the self pity thing, I really do but sometimes we get so.wrapped up in not liking ourselves, we don't pay attention to those paying attention around us.

All true, sir. But is not modesty a becoming trait?

Absolutely it is but the self depricating that takes place on this board sometimes is sad to me. I do it as well, but there is a hint of humor to it. There are plenty on here that truly do not like themselves and feel no one likes them either.

Understood: a vast difference indeed between modesty and self-loathing.

I think it depends on how well the person knows you. If you are just out & about, someone will only see your physical side, but if they know you more they'll see past that & hopefully your true inner self.
I feel conceded saying that I've been complimented on all those things. But the ones that I like to receive most are my confidence, ambition along with my determination.

I have no idea; I'd love to say brains but I'm afraid that wouldn't be accurate...

It's not modesty but, like the others, I have no idea what people find attractive about me. I do know, however, that it's definitely not my sense of humour - I've been told how annoying I am enough times to be sure of that! :D

Ah, the complexities of being a Renaissance woman!

Naturally. I chose 'my charm' because that seems rather all-encompassing; one can be charming while being beautiful, intelligent, witty, and sexy. Which is a combination I have yet to achieve, but there's always tomorrow.

I'm not saying that a great many people find me attractive. Those who do, however, seem to find the overall package a little charming. It could be the argyle twinset.. or the tendency to laugh at the sunshine.. or maybe it's the way I let people around me be whoever they need to be at the moment..
I'm not super-great at any one thing.. but as a package, I'm not a bad present.

I have a face like a trolls arse so I picked "other", and I will leave it up to others to let you know.

(boy, you walked right in to this one, pal. ;))

pfft--don't listen to a word this man says, Kal is easily one of the handsomest men of my acquaintance. :):)

I have not had the pleasure of seeing your face, but your voice is excellent.

as is yours, Mr. Esseintes.:rose:

Gentlemen, you leave me no choice but to chime in on the matter of the poll.:cattail:

But for their sakes, I will try to brief and just say that they both have a gift for showing generosity to others--of their time, their attention, of themselves.

All right, I'm finished. You can stop squirming now, fellas!

:kiss::kiss:

People have complimented me on everything really, mainly things I don't pay attention to.
I'll say my eyes, (they're hazel) then my smile, and lastly, my body.
I got complimented for straightening my hair the other day- an unusual compliment, but appreciated none-the-less.

I like my eyes best so I'd go with that.

Another other here. For me I believe it's my genuine liking and acceptance of people, flaws and all.

There's a difference between self-depreciating and self-pity.

I also think that societal norms play a fairly important role in how some of us would answer this question. I'm going to make a fairly sweeping generalisation and say that Brits are slightly less inclined to openly compliment each other. Stiff upper lip and all that.
I can't answer yes to any of the above answers because I can honestly say I've never really been complimented on any of them. My best friend tells me frequently that I have a great sense of humour, but she's rather speshull so it's taken with a fairly large pinch of salt.

Personally, I like my eyes. *I* think they're my best feature.
Again, I'm uncomfortable admitting that so it's done with humour. I'm overtired right now so the words that came to mind (but that i avoided originally) were "like piss holes in the snow". Classy, huh?

Hmm, I've not seen your eyes, but your description would translate to:
"Warm and deep, with gold at the edges"
So, that is what I now image your eyes to be

Hay IHC , how bout compiling the results when you get to 50?
