The other thing I've heard, is that wedges are easier to do, because they're all support, but I like something more flexible. Wedges also have the advantage of being platformy, so you can have height without an extreme arch.

I never went out much after having the kids and it was always easier to wear comfortable shoes while out running around, so I never got back into wearing them...
