Dark Desires ~ Closed ~

Izumo nodded to her, and even as Keara blushed, he smiled slightly, though did 'save' her from embarassment by continuing to move forwards. Arkana for her 'part' had never seen another Kitsune besides Keara, so she was thrilled!

" Ohhh, he's handsome." She whispered, not knowing of Keara's fighting against her attraction to him. Even as Keara moved forwards and spoke, Izumo nodded, though he glanced to Aerthalla himself.

This was what he had agreed to 'do' and he would do his best. " Outside sounds fantastic, we kitsune spend many of our days in the sun." He admitted, though he nodded his head respectfully to the dragon once more before he followed after her, he smiling.

" Nice dress, now, tell me what you've already learned." He gently intoned, his look soft, though he was also no nonsense either, after all they had precious little time. Aaxtrinioius had but nodded to them both, he tending to speak to Aerthalla further on relations with the high elves, he making it clear that he would have nothing further to do with Sythavorn.

All in all, Izumo WAS surprised ever so slightly at how little Keara knew, but he started with base weave manipulation, magical usage in general, as well as phasing, the act of moving through solid objects with magic. Kitsune were very good at sneaking in where they weren't 'supposed to be'.

He didn't press her too hard, but he focused on the true basics, things she needed to know! Arkana had snuck out and was watching the handsome kitsune from behind a pillar, she pretending that she wasn't there, but she secretly was of course!

Aerthalla smiled at both Kitsunes and was glad that Keara had appeared to accept him easily enough. Soon her attention went to Aaxtrinioius and she was more than happy to spend time with him. She would later that day go seek out the twins and send word to the one that controls the trading routes to set things in motion. Then she smiled at the thought of this as a possible opportunity to get them in the dragons good graces.

She also mentioned that even though she would not be returning to the city, that she would assure that the old alliance and other relations will be returned. Aerthalla had thought about returning once Sythavorn was removed, although, she would not be the next one to replace him. Even if she was, her disappearance would cause questions and if Sythavorn was too suddenly be removed, chances are, some of the blame would land on her shoulders. Although, that road has yet to be seen, she may be able to return when the time is right.

"The less I know about your plans for Sythavorn the better. As for Keara, what she doesn't know won't hurt her. She knows he is a coward and he has many enemies that wish for his death."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Keara was apprehensive about being alone with Izumo and she did keep a slight distance from him. Not enough to make it overly awkward, but enough to make sure there were no touching. Luckily when they arrived at the garden, she saw the twins there waiting and talking to each other.
When she told Izumo what she knew, or rather lack of, she felt ashamed when she saw his expression. It wasn't a look of complete surprise, though, she did catch it none the less and she lowered her head almost instantly. Of course none it was her fault and she knew this, however, it didn't stop that shame that rushed through her in that moment.
Keara spent her time with Izumo wisely none the less, learning everything that he was willing to teach her. There were a lot of things that he explained better than what she got from the books. He also made some things far more simpler than what the books were telling her to do. The twins were trying to not be a huge distraction for her, though they were praising her for when she picked up on things.
It did take some effort on her part to get the phasing thing down, especially moving through objects which at first didn't go over so well. At least if nothing else, it was pretty entertaining for them all and yet, she took it all in good stride even laughing at herself at times. Also getting secretly frustrated at the same time knowing she was making a fool of herself, least it felt like it. They all did laugh and talked throughout the lessons and overall Keara was honestly picking it all up fairly quickly. Even if it didn't feel like it to her personally.
"I do have to say one thing for certain, this is far better than learning from the books. A lot of what I read had me pretty confused. It is nice to have explained and to actually see how it is done."
Keara was speaking as if nothing was different in the area, acting like she didn't know about Arkana's spying on them. Arkana had one single disadvantage, the breeze was not in her favor at all and it carried her scent straight to Keara. Within moments Keara did the very thing she had been practicing, moving through objects and phasing to sneak right up on the little elf.
The next thing Arkana knew was Keara's lips met with hers in a kiss before Arkana could even fully register Keara being there. Keara also didn't care about the teasing comments of the twins when they saw them kissing.
"Might as well come out and laugh at the entertainment I'm providing."
Keara teased and was pulling Arkana out from her hiding place.
"Plus you need to meet the Twins. The good looking one is Raenor and scarface over there is Amaron."
They were both very good looking and Amaron took defense to the scarface name,
"Hey now, you have no idea what I had to do to get such a handsome looking scar!!"
They both bowed to Arkana though, each taking her hand and kissed the top of it, not caring what her status is to the castle.
Aaxtrinioius listened and was quiet for a time while the kitsune's were introduced. Aerthalla didn't have to worry, the dragon didn't pick up Izumo's scent and connect it to the elf, so she didn't have to cross that bridge at all. As she said that about Sythavorn though he nodded slightly.
" I am sure that she does, and I will not burden her with the details of going to kill the bastard." He mused with a shrug, though he looked to the female elf consideringly.
" You are welcome to remain here as long as you like." He remarked easily, though as she mentioned that she would see to it about the trades, he but nodded. " It will take some time for the roads to be cleared. Two decades of overgrowth will have to be removed, but it will be done. What else is there?"
He imagined that she wanted to know more about his mating with Keara, or how he was feeling about the attacks... such thoughts WERE on his mind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo noticed her apprehension and rolled his eyes. " You don't need to be afraid of me, i'm not going to pounce on you, especially with recent events." He remarked, making it known about the veil, she was fully the dragons, and Izumo WOULD respect that.

As she looked so ashamed, he smiled gently. " Oh come now, it's not the end of the world. You were clearly sheltered with the elves, they probably forbade magic so that you wouldn't stick out." He remarked knowingly.

As he started with her, he showed her how to do the trick a few times, explaining the magical side of it, and even as she picked up on the magic, of course he had wanted to ensure they would have SOME time to train, so he had invited the twins to be there, besides, he knew they would want to be re-united.

Arkana was 'secretly' peeking, and even as Keara surprised her, the little elf gasped and let out an eep of PURE surprise when she was kissed. She blushed slightly when she was pulled out, though she blushed MUCH more deeply when they kissed her hand, though she nodded to them both.

" It's been so long since i've met ANY elves, it's a pleasure to see you both." She mused though grinned gently. " Besides, I think Amaron's scar IS hanbdsome..." She purred, she sticking up for him as she added. " Will you tell me the story of the scar?" She asked, letting Izumo bring Keara's attention back to the training.

" There are many things you can do with the weave... it is truly only limited by your imagination." He explained, though he demonstrated by bringing his hands into a ball, he created a ball of fire which hovered in the air, it was small, but swirled rather beautifully. " Imagine what you want, and bring it to bear."

He gently remarked, though he let the fire ball go out, it dissapearing as it had come.

Aerthalla smiled at his offer to let her stay and was more than relieved once she realized he didn't connect the scents between her and Izumo.

"For starters, would you be willing to give me the grand tour of this beautiful castle?"

She was rather restless today and sitting inside was the last thing she wanted to be doing. Part of the restlessness came from thinking of Izumo and what he wanted to do with her later on. The other part was simply because it was far too nice of a day to be spending it inside.

She waited till he stood up and she hooked her arm around his as they walked, for a high elf, Aerthalla was a pretty free thinking elf. She had the high standards that leader should have, yet she also very flirty and confident with herself as a female.

"I do not wish to dive too deeply into your private affairs with Keara. However, I wish to help you in any way I can when it comes to her. I have no doubts that you can see her doubts and fears, especially now. What I do not know is, how deep does she feel these things. Is there more that I should know in order to help guide her away from these fears?"

The attacks were also on her mind as well, however she honestly didn't know what to say about them. As of right now that is just a waiting game on their part, Scynthrina was very unpredictable and it isn't like it was a war with an army marching their way. This was more of a take it one situation at a time as it occurs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The twins had Arkana sit in between them, both clearly trying to win her attention. Of course, they didn't mind sharing either if they got that far! Amaron began to tell his story of his scar, of course it was overly exaggerated to make him look like a badass hero.
"Well you see, there was this black panther cub who was trapped and when I went to go rescue it...."
Raenor busted up laughing at just the introduction alone knowing it was a full blown made up story.
"Oh come on now, that's all you can come up with? Least you could have come up with something more dramatic!"
It took a little while to get through the exaggerated version of the story considering Raenor kept interrupting. The end result came down to him failing an attempt to cast a taming spell on a panther. He was young, still learning his skills and one test was to capture and get himself an animal companion. Of course, when he failed the attempt, the panther was none to happy with him.
Keara was focused on what Izumo was showing her and it amazed her at easily he did things, even the simple things amazed her. After sometime and getting to know him a little more, she wasn't as apprehensive, in fact he made her all the more curious about him. There were more personal questions she wanted to ask, but clearly now wasn't the time for such things.
Keara tried it herself and she was putting all her focus into what she wanted. Within a few moments and after a few tries, she managed to create a ball of air that looked like a mini storm cloud swirling in her hands. It was clear that she was so proud of herself in that moment, showing it off to the twins and Arkana. With a little more focus it actually became a storm within her hands, little miniature lightning bolts could be seen.
"The books made this seem so impossible!! I would have never gotten this without help!"
Naturally with her excitement growing, the cloud in her hands lost its focus and slowly disappeared from her hands.
The dragon smirked as she smiled, and even as she asked that, Aaxtrinioius but nodded. " We can do that, it's much easier to give tours now." He remarked, though as he got up she linked their arms, and heading out, he took her on a tour indeed.
It was a grand castle, fully restored now it certainly held none of the gloom that it had before. As she said that Aaxtrinioius but nodded, he leaving the private bits out, but he looked to her. " I am sure she feels like a failure." He remarked, though went on to explain. " She comes off as such an independant person, and though she is a clear submissive in the bedroom, she clearly feels helpless in this situation."
He mused, though he spoke again. " I had a dream, where there was a cave. I had been shot by three arrows, and before me, Keara was being taken from me." He admitted as he softly sighed. " Dragons do not dream normally, so I can only take this as an omen." He seemed troubled, but he pushed those thoughts away.
" She is struggling between being herself, and being who Sythavorn tried to mold her to be. It will simply take her time to accept the truth of the matter, along with feel confident in being herself." He mused, gently speaking as he showed her around the castle, they ending up by the gardens, he looked to her as she created the storm clouds.
" She is remarkable, and one who I would spend eternity with, but this time of trials and tribulations will help her to come into her own." He passed on, leaving Keara to work on her own training, though he then changed the subject to trade along with the state of the world. It had been two hundred years since he had been out after all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Arkana giggled and listened to them both, though she would shush Raenor when he ruined the mood of the story, and though the end result really wasn't all that impressive, she had a grand time in learning about the two twins as it was! They may tease one another and be playful, but Arkana could tell that they would live and die for one another.

Izumo worked with her, he proving quite the adept teacher, after all that was what he was, he had meant to be her mate, to be showing her all of this at home, but that wasn't how life was meant to be it seemed. She was complimented when she worked well, and even as she seemed so focused, he had no idea that she had more questions personally for him.

Arkana hopped up and offered the twins some lunch, she hustling them inside with a promise to bring them back, leaving it only Izumo and Keara. The red tailed kitsune looked to her as she said that, but he shook his head. " Books are useless, you have to go with your feelings. We kitsune are incredibly empathic based, our emotions bring out the strength in us, and shouldn't be shunned."

He remarked, though added with a coy smirk. " Though from what I was hearing last night, you were letting your inner kitsune out in full force." He teased, referring to the screams and cries of pleasure from the night before. He would remain only a week or two at the most, he did have a home to return to after all, and hadn't intended to be away for very long.

Aerthalla listened to him in silence and mulled things over about his own thoughts. When he mentioned the cave and his dream, she frowned slightly and instantly thought of the rogues.

"Keara has always felt small in this world. She was raised to fear this world and trust no one. Once you have gained her full trust though, you will never want to lose it. And yes, it will take time for her to find herself."

She squeezed his arm reassuringly as they both watched Keara from a distance, he didn't seem to notice the twins, or if he did, he didn't recognize them as being the ones who attacked yesterday. Which if that was the case, was a good sign.

"The rogues will have black arrows, so I have no doubts that they are planning to use them. The rogues he has sent know how to claim their prey. Sadly I have seen them come home with their prizes from a hunt. They have even taken the tails from kitsunes before. There is no underestimating the ones that hunt you."

Aerthalla sighed as she thought about them, wishing there was more she could do on her end. Even though she is very powerful in her own right, it is also power that isn't used lightly and not without some cost of its own.

"The world is very different now, trading still remains and it has grown quite massively. Sadly, most of it is ran and controlled by humans. They even have my kind squirming under their thumbs, they grow greedier every passing season it seems."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amaron kept glaring at Raeon as he ruined what would have been an awesome story and he pouted playfully as they walked off with Arkana.
"But it was such a huge cat!! Bigger than Scynthrinas furry beast!! He could have killed me!"
Keara laughed as they walked off hearing their voices trail further and further away. Izumo made the comment of what he heard last night and she felt the heat rise quickly to her cheeks. Though, she fell silent at the rest of what he had said about having to go with her feelings.
"Me and my emotions haven't been getting along very well as of late. I almost think I was better off staying in the city. I love the freedom I have here and yet....."
She went to go sit down, taking a little break from the lessons and pondering over everything.
"I have brought him nothing but problems to his doorstep. I recently learn that I was meant to yours, only to have hurt you by running off."
Kearas' heart was racing while sitting here alone with him, there was an obvious attraction to him that even she couldn't deny. It made her almost curious to think what things would be like if she hadn't run off the way she did.
"Perhaps Sythavorn was right, I'm not meant to be out in the world. I betrayed him and therefore betraying you in the process. Why would you chose to stay and help me? Are you not upset with me for betraying you?"
She couldn't look at him as she asked that letting her gaze focus on a rock at her feet. Of course she knew what it meant to be promised to someone else, she has seen many forced marriages in her life, though quite a few rarely worked out as well.
"Knowing what you know about me, do you think I would have failed at being your wife? I feel like I keep failing at every turn I make with the dragon. I can't imagine how things would be like with you. I'd probably just make you as frustrated as I do him."
Though she did give a slight smirk to the thought, there was still a clear tone of how she truly felt about everything that has happened.
Aaxtrinioius simply shrugged, though he noticed that aerthalla was quiet, though as she said that he nodded to her, simply accepting that it would take Keara time to come into her own. He simply accepted as well though that the next few days may not see him past it.
He had just gotten free, but that did not mean he would live much longer if the rogues were out to kill him. He nodded about the black arrows, but he shrugged. " The future I have learned, can never be planned out. The day we claim to have it understood is the day we are lost." He mused, though he wasn't under estimating them, he simply would do everything to protect his love.
" We will have to discuss trade another time then, I have no interest in dealing with humans. If anything, I will open my own ports, and create my own routes if it is needed." He remarked, though he added. " Humans are always greedy, it is simply what they are."
He left it at that though, not wishing to dwell on the negatives.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Arkana grinned and walked out with them both, she hugging both of their arms as she assured them that she believed him, though even she admitted his story was a bit blown up, it was said in such fun.

As Keara said that about the city, he rolled his eyes. " If you live your life in guilt, you will never come to enjoy it." He remarked, though he moved and sat down with her, though he shrugged. " It would seem you have brought nothing but fortune to his door." He countered, though he went on to explain.

" You brought him happiness, you have shown him how to love. You returned his love, and have found yourself a home. It would seem at least to me, that you have accomplished much." He pointed out, though as she kept referring to Sythavorn Izumo groaned. " Not him again." He growled, though he glared at her, straight out, actually glared at her. It was clearly a look that she would not want to receive many times.

" You claim to want to be yourself and yet refer to what he has spewed and lied about in order to control you. I choose to help you because you are my people!" He growled, though his frustration showed. " I have given up on you because I know you love the dragon, yet you would ask me whether I would have wanted you as my wife? Of course I would have!"

He caught himself, and explained though. " I knew you were sheltered by the elves, I knew you would not know much if anything. We would have spent centuries learning and playing together. Do NOT think that such thoughts had gone without notice, for they had. Yet I RESPECT you, I do not want to hurt you, and though you HAVE hurt me, that IS a part of life!"

He couldn't sit still, and got up, pacing as he paused slightly, though he looked to her. " Oh I can tell already, you would have been nothing but frustrating, but I would have not wished it any other way. It was not meant to be, and NOW, I have to pick up my life, figure out where to go next." He didn't blame her, other than in referring to Sythavorn, those words of his were true, but he reached up, running his hand through his hair.

Letting out a sigh, he looked rather.. drained. Those emotions of his had been bottled up for a while, but he looked to her. " You cannot hide, you cannot run. You cannot change what will come. The only thing you CAN do, is change how things will turn out. In the end, only YOU control your future Keara."

With that, Izumo simply stood, looking to her, knowing he had probably upset her, but really, those were were needed to be said, and he didn't mince his words when he felt such a need.

"I will not let you fade from this world so easily Aaxtrinioius, it would break Keara to the point of no return if that happens."

Aerthalla gave his arm a reassuring squeeze, no matter what happens, that is one thing she can do is heal and bring life back. Of course, bringing a life back has its pros and cons with many rules to follow, but shadow magic is her main specialty.

"It would be nice to get out from under the humans control again. The reason they truly have us is because a while back one discovered a few secrets and used them to his advantage. It seems though, that it was only that one man that knew those secrets, which he is no longer in this realm. But it was enough of a threat to keep things the way they are, sadly."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Keara at first was slightly stunned by his sudden aggravation, on the other hand she did understand what he was saying. Sadly though, as it did with Sythavorn, it caused her to shut down momentarily something of a defense mechanism she had gained over the years. Keara wasn't one for out bursts, let alone defend herself in heated moments and this one was no different. Finally as he finished and the last few things he said kept echoing in her ears.
"You do not know what it is like to live by those lies. To have to hear those lies years upon years upon years until finally those lies become truth. You did not have to suppress who you are and become something that is against your true nature until it is the only you know how to do."
Keara didn't know why she was standing up for herself, but she was starting to grow tired of hearing the obvious when it came to Sythavorn. Of course she knew they were lies and were meant to control her every movement, but it doesn't make it any easier to accept.
" Do you think I like living this way? Always in doubt and in fear of the world around me and to be helpless in it. Hiding and running is the only thing I know how to do. I had to run and hide from him, he forced me to that point."
She stood up after a while looking out into the woods, In the end, only YOU control your future Keara kept echoing in her mind. Her heart raced wildly knowing she has to end this herself, she wanted to prove herself to everyone and to herself that she isn't helpless.
Keara turned and faced him, finally looking at him for the first time since Arkana and the twins had left. Her tails were twitching wildly, almost as if she was ready to pounce on a prey within her sights. The hurt was starting to show in her eyes and when she spoke her voice cracked slightly the more she thought about what he said.
He knew this is how she would be.... He knew she would know nothing of the world...
He knew...
"Why did you not come for me sooner? Why did you wait till I was broken to come get me? Was that.... was that what you wanted?... Just so you..... If you knew these things... why didn't you....."
Keara shook her head, her ears laying down flat as she tried to force back her emotions. After realizing she was losing her nerve, Keara took a few quick, deep breaths, she went into hiding almost instantly. She wasn't trying to be cold towards him, it was the last thing she wanted to do. Also she didn't want to argue with him either, things were going so well till once again she ruined the moment.
"I apologize for hurting you. Clearly that was not my intent when I ran away from...... him...."
She had this look in her eyes of determination that wasn't there moments ago. He can tell that Keara was wanting to do something, more than likely, very foolish on her part. But before he could read more into it, she turned her back towards him and put her focus back onto the forest, ready to take off if he leaves.
"You are right, I cannot keep running and hiding anymore. Though what you said have stung me some, it is all true."
With a deep breath she managed to regain some of her nerves, pushing everything to the side just as Sythavorn taught her to do. Fighting to put up a mask as a way to hide her true feelings, not wishing to break down anymore she has already shed far too many tears.
"I did not know how you felt about me, that is why I asked. I had no intentions on upsetting you, you knew of me when I knew nothing of you. If I had known about you, I would have waited instead of running."
Her tone was a bit emotionless, hiding within herself like she has always done and also it was a way to not let him know how deep his words truly affected her.
Keara lowered her tails and ears almost as if she has been defeated, having nothing else to really say. She knows Sythavorn has hurt many, but those people can pick and leave as they wished to. Keara on the other hand, she had no choice for the longest time and had to endure his lies longer than most around him.
"I Promise I will no longer speak of his name and I will try harder to remove his lies from my life. For you and everyone else. If you wish, we can take a break and pick things up later."
The dragon smiled ever so slightly, and even as she said that about Keara he did nod. " I did not say what I did with the intention of seeming to be giving up." He remarked, though he gave a nod towards her re-assuring squeeze.
" I have affected so many lives already with being cursed, and while now I see what Anastasia was trying to show me in regards to feeling emotion and love, I regret the sorrow I have caused the others here." He mused, though Aaxtrinioius looked to her. " You must promise me that you will not give your life for mine." He knew the costs of shadow magic, and he would not bring another life to an end because of him.
Yet he listened when she spoke of the trade, and as she said that the human was gone, he but nodded. " I am sure when the dragon Aaxtrinioius allies with the elves making it clear he will suffer no further human interruption, that it will help to re-elevate yourselves to where you belong." He remarked, he WAS a thoughtful dragon, and he DID want to help the elves in general.
There were many uncertainties within the days to come, but Aaxtrinioius would deal with them as they happened. There truly wasn't much to be done until then, so he would act as though everything was happening as it should until then.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

They had been doing well, working together, she had been relaxing, training and yes, accomplishing things when she had seemed to break down again. She seemed too quiet for a few moments, but when she spoke, Izumo's eyes narrowed slightly.

" Yes, I do." He replied softly, though he looked over towards the castle for a moment, before he returned his gaze to her. " I know it was arranged, but I truly was looking forwards to learning about you, to being with you." He softly mused, though he sighed. " Every time I would visit the elves, Sythavorn would say you were indisposed, that I could not see you, that I had to wait. Then, when the pact spoke that I could finally come to get you, he lied again, and I believed it as the truth."

As she asked whether he thought she liked living that way, he had thought to make a comment about her not being strong enough to change how she lived, but he didn't. Such a comment would simply have broken everything they had begun to build together. Yet as she turned and asked that insulting, hurtful query, Izumo's eyes widened in shock, the pain clear there. There was no hiding it as his tails curled in, his ears flattening as he shook his head, tears actually coming to his eyes.

" No..." His voice slightly cracking as the words had struck him truly in the heart. " Do you truly think me a sadistic person? Everyone in the pack demanded I wait... the agreement was that I come to get you when you had grown. Sythavorn lied when I asked after you, wanting to take you away early. Agreements could not be changed he said... I never wanted you broken... you shame me in asking that."

He turned away from her, the confidence in showing her how to be strong was gone. She claimed he had no idea what it was like to live within lies, and yet Izumo had for longer than she had even been alive. He had waited for her, wanted to be with her, and when he had found her, she had been happily in the arms of another man. Surely she couldn't understand how hard that was for him to work through, to stand here even now and help her, knowing she would never be his.

Yes, of course there was a chance that he and Aerthalla could become what he had hoped for Keara and himself, but he had learned a grave lesson from this whole experience; which was to not count one's 'chickens before they hatched' as the humans said. He did hear her continuing to speak, but he didn't really have anything more to say in regards to that. Her tone had gone flat, he noticed, which he had already learned was her way of hiding within herself.

He finally nodded, his back still to her as his shoulders were slumped. " That... may be best." He finally managed, his voice broken. Unlike she who was able to hide her emotions from those years of 'having to', Izumo was not very good at that at all. He did turn to her, and forcing his breath to come more naturally, he looked to her.

" I have never wanted to hurt you, and I am sorry for my strong words. We kitsune tend to speak plainly, yet I admit I was wrong. I cannot know what it was like, but I did not wait to make you suffer. That is the only thing I can assure you. I will come back in a half hours time."

With that, he turned and walked away. He headed into the castle. The forest couldn't be safe right now, but he couldn't look at her right now. He was too upset. Moving on from a century of waiting... it wasn't as easy for him as it might have been had he never even seen her before, because he HAD seen her once when she had been ten, he had been promised by everyone that she would be his compliment, and having met her she WAS, but she was out of reach, she was someone else's, and he had to respect that.

He would not 'steal her' from someone else, he was not a cruel sadistic person, despite her hurtful words. Izumo was lost, and so simply wandered the halls of the castle, his breath coming choked up, he didn't know what to do, but he passed the throne room's open door as Aaxtrinioius and Aerthalla were speaking, he not seeming to even notice them. How she could think such things of him was beyond him, especially when he had remained to help her.

That, bothered him more than anything else. He could let go of her strong retort, she was right, and he would admit that she was. No one could truly know HER life, but her life wasn't the only one shattered here, and unlike herself, who had found stability in Aaxtrinioius's arms, Izumo had no stability, he would return home to a pack who wouldn't understand what had transpired, who would mock him for not having brought his wife home, who though they would know it wasn't his fault, would tease him about it. That was simply their way, and he wouldn't have anyone to shoulder himself with.

She had a life here, a dragon who loved her, a servant elf who clearly was devoted to her... she even had elven rangers who though joked like a kitsune, would lay down their lives for her if it was needed. She didn't seem to see what she had, only instead focusing on the pain and sorrow that may or may not come.

Izumo didn't really know what to do with himself, so he eventually sat by an open balcony, throwing himself onto it he closed his eyes. He would return when he was ready... but he wasn't ready yet.

Aerthalla nodded with a reassuring smile to the promise he asked of her.

"It will not cost me my life I promise. I have not used that energy enough times for it to end me yet. If it comes to that anyway, which of course I hope it does not."

It was then she saw Izumo walking by and clearly stressed about something. Naturally she knew the most likely cause of what happened, being around Keara could in no way be easy for him. Though she smiled at Aaxtrinioius as she began to rise from where they were sitting.

"It appears that my guest needs attending to. I will take my leave and we will continue our conversation another time. For now it is one step at a time. As you said, the roads still need to be cleared and alliances renewed."

She bowed and kissed the back of his hand

"Perhaps you should go check on Keara, make sure she is not alone or worse... runs off on her own. The trees have many eyes and ears right now as you know."

she spoke softly before following Izumo quietly. Once she found him on the balcony, no words she could say would bring him comfort in this matter. Naturally she had no idea what was said between Keara and him, there was no doubt that it hurt him though. She can only hope that Aaxtrinioius will find Keara before she runs again, something that Keara does that is very predictable in times like these.

Aerthalla moved up behind him and very lightly began to pet him, running her fingers through his silken fur. For now she kept silent and waited for him to speak first if he wanted to, in the meantime she was simply letting him know that she is there for him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Keara wanted to run so badly that it was becoming an itchy need, the forest called to her and begged her to come out and play. One of the many reasons she would always run away from Sythavorn is because the forest always brought her peace. There were times when the garden was never enough and right now ended up being one of those times.
What was truly stopping her though was knowing she had no chance of defending herself against Mayna. The rogue can see magical trails and no matter what Keara would do, she'd be easy to track. Even now, Mayna was out there watching Keara's every move and Keara had no knowledge of where the girl hid. Mayna was even itching with her own need to take Keara now, the chance is so clear and open with no one is sight. Though, she had to hold back, things were not ready yet. The oils from the flowers were still being extracted and Scynthrina still hadn't found the perfect cave.
It became this moment when Mayna discovered the marked tail of the dragon. This made her smile as not only would the dragon horns bring her coin, the tail of his mate would triple that coin. Today may not be her day, but she will claim both the dragon and his mate.
So for the time being Mayna watched as Keara paced while trying her best to maintain her resolve. It wasn't long after the other kitsune had left that Keara finally broke down and cried. This was the hardest she has cried in a very long time, dropping down to her knees and wrapping her tails to hide in.
The urge to run was so strong that it just made her cry that much harder knowing she couldn't be out there right now. Even if she did hunt for the rogues, there were three of them and she would have no idea of what to do once she found them. Let alone if she got caught.
Keara may be impulsive at times but she wasn't nearly as naive as some would think. Though, she couldn't imagine how Izumo thinks of her now after all that he had said, how he had tried to claim her earlier and was denied. There was so much truth in his tone that even she couldn't deny him. Her own words to him making her seem very selfish, but how was she to know that's what happened.
The dragon took his time in thinking things over, but he was pre-occupied with his own thoughts, so he didn't think about the kitsune, only about Keara when she was mentioned. Firstly of course he thought that this Izumo had upset his Keara, which upset him, but he left it be for now, and instead simply rose, nodding to Aerthalla.
" I am sure we will speak again." He remarked, though he nodded about Keara. " I will go see to her. Perhaps being near another of her kind upset her." He mused thoughtfully, though he made his way to the gardens. One day, Keara would be able to roam freely, to play in the woods without fear of being hunted.
One day soon if Aaxtrinioius had anything to 'say' about it. For now, when he found her, his heart broke for her, but he didn't say anything. Instead, much like Aerthalla was at that moment comforting Izumo, Aaxtrinioius gently knelt, and simply reached out to pet her softly. He was a bit more forwards than Aerthalla was, and soon pulled her into his lap, into his arms.
Quietly he held her for the first few moments, but after a while, he softly began to hum. It was a soft sound at first, but after a bit the sounds became gentle, soothing words. They were not in english, nor elven so he doubted she would understand the words, but they came almost unbidden, softly, soothingly.
I have a dream. You are there.
High above the clouds somewhere.
Rain is falling from the skies,
but it never touches you;
you’re way up high!
No more worries, no more fears.
You have made them disappear.
Sadness tried to steal the show,
but now it feels like many years ago.
And I, I will be with you every step!
Tonight, I found a friend in you.
And I’ll keep you close forever.
Come fly with me
into a fantasy
where you can be
whoever you want to be,
come fly with me!
We can fly all day long.
Show me the world, sing me a song.
Tell me what the future holds.
You and me, we’ll paint it all in gold!
And I, I will believe your every word!
Cause I, I have a friend in you.
We’ll always stay together!
After he was 'done', he quietly sat holding her. Yet even as he did, he looked DIRECTLY to where Mayna hid, his golden eyes seeming to pierce directly into her soul with simply a look. Of course there was no way he was looking right at her, was there? He said nothing, nor made no motion towards her, but it was clear he WAS looking right at her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo didn't actually know what to do. He was facing the railing of the balcony when he felt someone approach, yet he wasn't speaking right now, and as Aerthalla's hand touched him, she could feel how he was shaking. Like a cat he was shaking in anger, fear, confusion, and many other emotions.

Yet her touch did comfort him slightly, and for a good long while, much longer than a half hour Izumo remained where he was. Finally though, his tails slightly unwound from themselves... his eyes refusing to turn. " She thinks... I left her with Sythavorn on purpose." He finally managed, though his voice cracked at those mere words, he steeled himself.

" I have given her up, managed to EVEN stay and resolve to help her to learn her own powers and about herself, and she... she thinks that." He couldn't believe that above anything else. He HAD been wrong to think that he could be here and not be attracted to her, but Aerthalla was his interest and so he had acted quite well around Keara.

He was even wrong about saying she needed to grow up and push past it, but she WAS wrong, Izumo DID know what it was like to live within a lie. Yet EVEN that, he could 'get over'. What he could not get over, was that she thought he had left her with Sythavorn intentionally, that he might want her broken. That... well that was too much for him.

He didn't know what to do. He COULD leave, but he knew the outcome. He could stay and avoid her and pursue Aerthalla, but the dragon had only permitted him because he was teaching Keara. Yet the pain of those few words, those were much worse than black arrows or an elf's lies, those words wounded much more deeply. He did not turn, nor face Aerthalla, but he appreciated her being there.

It helped... it truly did.

Keara didn't need to look to see who was holding her, his scent was enough to accept the comfort. Though she curled up tighter once in his lap and just cried for a good long while. It was as if once she started to cry, she couldn't stop in that moment as everything just came crashing down around her. Years of pent up emotions came flooding through her uncontrolled until she couldn't cry anymore.

His song brought more tears, however it did seem to calm her down till she became a shivering mess. Keara had no way of understanding the song, but it was the tone of which his voice sang it that calmed her.

Mayna froze in the hiding spot she had been in, there was no way for the dragon to see her and yet he was looking straight at her. It actually sent chills up her spine which was very rare for her, though she slinked off quietly back into the shadows before she actually did get caught.

After a few moments of trying to catch her breath again, her voice cracked and was hoarse from all the crying.

"I.... I want to have...."

Keara really didn't want to say his name again, she had promised Izumo she wouldn't, yet under the situation Aaxtrinioius would assume it was Izumo.

"I wish to see Sythavorn suffer... Death is too easy for what he has done..... I am tired of finding out just how much pain he has caused. How can someone like him suffer in the way he has made others suffer?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aerthalla sighed as she listened to him speak finally, though she kept petting him in a comforting way trying to find the right words.
"Keara..... does not know nor understand your side of things. I am sure she does now, depending on what was said between the two of you. I doubt that she intentionally meant to hurt you though. She does not blame without good reason. If you wish, I will speak to her later."
She could feel him shaking underneath her hand and it was then she lightly guided him into her arms, holding him.
"There are many things I can show of how he molded her and of why she thinks and feels the way she does. None of those things however, will mend your heart. You have to decide to forgive her or not. I know for a fact that after this, she does not think that way. Not after seeing how much it hurt you. As long as you spoke truthfully, she will come to her senses."
Aerthalla didn't need to know the specifics of their conversation but it was clear Keara had asked questions. Only thing she regretted was that Keara had asked him instead of her, however that is just how things played out. Though Aerthalla smiled as she held him, petting him with one hand and she began to hum a song of her own. Letting the shadows shift and move, dancing in harmony of the tune she hummed. Using it a comforting distraction.
Her lover Aaxtrinioius didn't need to say much more, and even as she slowly did calm down, he didn't know what the other kitsune had said to bring her to such a state, but he really WAS tempted to go and banish Izumo from the castle in order to let her calm down.
Yet as she slowly spoke, he was curious how she would want to bring revenge upon the other kitsune, but it wasn't Izumo's name she spoke, but his gaze narrowed slightly. " Revenge is a strong thing Keara. It tends to turn more people than what they intend." He mused, though he wasn't about to lie to her.
" I have thought often about how to make Sythavorn suffer. He is a person who hides in the shadows, weaving his lies. The strongest suffering I can imagine is to drag him into the light, to unveil all his lies, to strip him of everything, leave him with nothing, and then entrap him, keep him alive but forced to watch everything he wished to accomplish crumble."
He had honestly thought that he had seen something when he had been looking, but he didn't say anything about that. Instead, he gently squeezed her. " For now, we must deal with what is going on here, but I will not turn you away if you wish to help with Sythavorn's fall." He gently mused. He was a dragon, ruthless and powerful, but she herself was a kitsune, a force to be reckoned with.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo was aware that Keara probably hadn't meant to hurt him. He did at least understand that, but it didn't matter, the blow had been struck, the pain of losing someone who he had waited so long for renewed, and he didn't know whether he COULD face her right now. He did move into her arms, slightly leaning as his ears remained pinned down, his eyes seemingly truly lost.

" I am not that person, nor have I ever presented myself in that way." He softly mused, though he finally seemed to look to her. " I think myself smart, thoughtful and caring, and yet she would say such things against me, despite everything I have done to help her." He mused, though he finally shook his head.

" Speak with her if you wish, I will not forgive such words for a while. I understand that such words may come from how she was raised, yet such words were said with such venom that I cannot forgive for now." He didn't delve into the specifics, but it was clear the wound she struck was much more than the wounds he had inflicted with her. He had spoken to her being stronger for herself, to not rely on others and to believe in herself, and she twisted that into challenging that he might have wanted to break her and make her weaker, when everything he had done had been for the opposite.

He slowly relaxed within her arms, and though he would be able to steel himself to return and help her to become better with her magic, he would not be forgiving her for now. That would take time, for that wound was deep and not as easily healed. Finally he righted himself.

" I told her I would return in a half hour. I should not keep her waiting."

He felt tired, as thought he had aged in weeks or years in that day. Yet he had resolved to help Keara, and he would, even if it destroyed him. THAT was the kind of kitsune that Izumo was, a truly rare, selfless one. He cared too much for his own good!

"He was keeping me as a pet, locked in a cage to never be free. He betrayed my kin by keeping one future out of my reach. He had no intentions of keeping a promise to the elders of my Kin."

Keara kept hearing what Izumo had said, about how he had tried multiple times to take her home. Her tails were flickering with anger, the markings on all five tails began to pulse and glow.

"He had no right to treat me as such. I'm not wanting revenge for myself, he did not only take the one future from me, but he also took one from my kin. It wasn't enough for him to have twisted my life, he had to betray the rest of my kind by keeping me..... like a wild animal..."

The clear blue sky was slowly turning dark with thick black clouds and rolling thunder, her breathing picked up as she got angrier at the thought of what he did. What he did to Izumo, even if she hadn't ran off, after hearing what he said, she knew then that Sythavorn would never let her go. Keara had her eyes closed with her face buried in his chest which made her unaware of the raw energy she was tapping into. It was also physically draining her as she was not prepared for such uncontrolled power.

"He needs to pay for what he has done to my kin. I am no common pet... Strip him of everything... of his titles, his coins, his lands... let him see what it is like to fear the world... to be helpless... to be caged.... to be betrayed by those around him... take his future away...."

Keara was out of breath as suddenly became very weak as the glow of her tails faded down and black clouds slowly faded back into clear skies. She felt as if she was about to pass out from using so much energy. Not to mention the energy it took to release all those emotions moments ago.

"He had no right......"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aerthalla expected as much as he said it would be difficult to forgive Keara, she really wished she knew what was said between them. Let alone what would cause Keara to say such harshful things. Just when she was about to respond, the dark clouds rolled in out of no where, she felt the raw power behind them. They seem to last for sometime, even a few lightning strikes hit random areas.
Then soon it faded as if it was nothing at all for as quick as it was, she could only assume Keara was the cause.
"I will allow you two to sort things out. Though, after that little display, I do believe her lessons are done for today."
She stood up along and moved to face him, tracing her fingers lightly along his cheek and over his lips.
"I know you are not that person. I'm sure she does as well. Why don't you go rest, get some food and drink, refresh yourself up. I will be here for you no matter what you decide to do."
Aerthalla leaned in and kissed him softly, reassuring him that she isn't going anywhere.
Aaxtrinioius listened, but sighed to himself, though he was confused of course. " Who was he keeping out of reach?" He asked, though he wasn't a stupid dragon, and as soon as he asked it, he realized the truth of it all. " Izumo." He softly mused, though he WAS beside himself with conflicting emotions, it was mostly directed towards Sythavorn in regards to his cruelty.
As her tails began to glow though Aaxtrinioius looked back to her, though he easily shook his head. " He had no right at all." He gently mused, though noticing the sky, it was much like when she had ported all over the castle trying to escape the elders invasion of her dreams, the energy was quite impressive, and yet also un-focused. Izumo had begun to teach her how to focus some of that power, but it became much more than a mere small storm.
Aaxtrinioius nodded though to her words, and even as she was so out of breath and exhausted, he gently picked her up into his loving arms. " I know, shhh, we will make him pay." He gently mused, though he carried her inside, he took her to their chambers, for in his eyes his chambers weren't his alone anymore, and gently sat into a chair, holding her as he sighed.
She had not had an easy life. If no one else, Aaxtrinioius had never belittled her caged existence, had never begrudged her the anger and hate that laid within her. Instead, he, like many dragons had seen that power and simply tried to help her to overcome it, to become more than the hate, more than the anger.
For now, he simply held onto her, letting her feel grounded in her lovers loving arms.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo did not generally hold grudges. It was against what he believed, but he was wounded yet again having been here, and it had become a bit much. He would not say exactly what had been said, he had no desire to relive those moments. Instead, he looked out at the storm and nodded ever so slightly.

" She was working on a much smaller controlled version of that... before everything seemed to fall apart." He softly mused, though he noticed the dragon walking past the end of that hallway, carrying Keara, so he but nodded. " Her love is there for her." He gently mused, that hurting just as much.

He honestly thought the little outburst was directed towards him. Her words had stung so deeply, Izumo assumed he was the cause of that mini storm, but he didn't really know what to do. " When I get like that, it's a fiery inferno." He mused, though he shook his head. " Such uncontrolled power." She was certainly a rarity within their people, but he stood, looking to her as her fingers moved over his lips.

As she said that though he had a hard time believing that. As she made it clear that she would be there, he nodded, and seemed to wander off for a while. He found himself curled into a corner for a small bit further, but finally, he pulled himself together and did go to the kitchen, nibbling slightly on a biscuit. After that he went to Aerthalla's room and ended up curled up asleep on her bed.

That would be where she would find him later. He could not make amends today, he didn't even know if he could face her again. The wound burned at him and seemed to refuse to let go, it was even worse than finding out he had been mislead, the words struck at the very core of who he was as a being, much less as Izumo

It took Keara sometime to fully regain herself and even drifted to sleep as they sat there. The energy she used took so much from her, the awakening of all those buried emotions overwhelmed her mentally that she needed to crash. She didn't know how long she had been sleeping, or how long Aaxtrinioius sat there just holding her, but when she finally woke up she found that she was still curled up in his arms.

Her throat was raw and her body ached in a different way that she couldn't quite explain. Though without looking up, she just curled up a little tighter, wrapping her tails around them both.

"Izumo..... claims I was promised to him. Since I am the last of my bloodline, the elders set things in motion for me to remain with my kind. But..... I didn't know of this.... and... and I said some pretty harsh things to him. He told me he knew about me, that he tried to claim me sooner... though, he was denied every time. Then this time...."

Keara choked on the words as she realized more and more just how harsh she was to him. Her ears lay flat and her tails wrapped around a little tighter as if wanting to break again. Though she had no more tears left in that moment and she tried to keep strong.

"I don't know if he will still mentor me.... He respects that I love you and that we are mates... but my tongue and anger accused him of things without listening to him.... I hurt him and I don't know how to fix it..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aerthalla let him go for now, giving him the time he needed to regain himself and figure out what he wanted to do. She remained on the balcony for a time, looking out into the woods just thinking about everything. It really did confuse her about what had happened between the two of them, one moment they appeared to be happy, the next.... well... both were in tears.
She shook her head with a slight smirk..
"Kitsunes...."
Eventually she emerged from the balcony and roamed around a little before heading off to her room. She had a servant bring up a tray full of food and some mead for her. It surprised her a little to see Izumo sleeping in the bed, though it did make her smile knowing he came back to her at least instead of running off. Very quietly she closed the door and sat in a chair, at first she simply admired his sleeping form but soon found a book to read. He needed his rest and she didn't wish to disturb him.
After sometime she head the light knock at the door she quietly let the servant in with the tray, then dismissed them just as quietly.
He was quiet as he gently sat with her, his hand gently running through her fur, and even as she drifted off to sleep as they sat there, he remained. Dragons could remain in the same place for days, weeks, and even years on end, so this wasn't really anything new to him. He noticed when she woke though, her breathing changed, her body shifted ever so slightly, and even as she curled up a little tighter, he sighed softly as he listened to her.
He did not claim the kitsune was a liar at all, but he listened quietly as she explained slightly what had happened. " I imagine he didn't allow Izumo to claim you, since you ended up here." He mused, though he gently touched her ears, feeling them flick he gently looked to her. " Shh, none of that." He softly mused, though he looked to her.
" You know, dragons have done much worse than accusing someone of soemthing that was false." He remarked, though he smiled slightly. " I don't know whether he will forgive you either, I do not go into foreigners minds, well, not unless they are beautiful kitsune females." He teased ever so gently, it a very dry joke, but one that he hoped might even lift her spirits slightly.
" He has not left as of yet, if he had my guards would have let me know, besides, Arkana did re-surface a while back and informed me he is staying with Aerthalla, so I would imagine that he will still mentor you. He clearly cares for you, more than he should, but that is not for me to say." He sighed though and looked to her.
" You have to be prepared my love, that some things cannot be fixed. Some scars will remain, even when time passes. The only thing I could even imagine to suggest, is to try. In this situation, you are at his mercy as to whether he will forgive you." He didn't really know what to say about this really, Aaxtrinioius as a dragon didn't care if he pissed people off or hurt them generally, he was still new to feeling such things.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo's wanderings took him through many halls, many passages. He even ported from the castle and wandered the forests. He was keenly aware of anyone following him, and mostly he walked among the trees, porting from place to place before he finally did end up back at the castle.

Keara had been the one to bring up Sythavorn again, it truly seeming that she had been stuck on him, and so Izumo had spoken to her being free of his lies and controls, of taking her own life into her hands. She had been brave in running and leaving, and had found a place where she was accepted.

Yet she had taken it further and challenged that he hadn't cared for her at all, that he had left her there to break and 'die' as a kitsune, and that was something that Izumo could not stand. He didn't really know how long he rested, but as he slowly did stir, his nose twitched at the scent of food.

His head slowly raised and he turned, sitting up quietly he looked to the window, and seeing the sun was setting, he let out a soft sigh. " I had hoped to accomplish much more with her today." He admitted, though he looked down at his own hands. He did feel partially to blame for her suffering, he could have 'gone around' Sythavorn and found Keara earlier, he knew that the elf had kept his best rangers with him, so such a plan would have been folly, but he still blamed himself.

Finally though, he moved and climbed from the bed, stretching slightly as he shrugged. " There is always tomorrow." Unlike Keara, Izumo didn't break. He had centuries of experience to 'hold him together', and though the pain was still very fresh and new, he would overcome it and become stronger from it.

" What food is there?" He was hungry, his tails floating more casually... the pain wasn't gone, but he would move past it.

Keara smiled a little at his joke and did seem to relax a little more knowing that Izumo hadn't left yet. The rest of what he said though had her a little worried about herself more than anything, always having been on control of her tongue before and never showing anger before kind of scared her.

"I've never hurt someone before though. I do everything I can to make sure they are happy. But when he said he knew things about me, knew that I would be sheltered.... I snapped at him. I accused him of leaving me there on purpose.... I'm not like that, I don't allow myself to snap in such ways."

Though there was a clear amount of fear in her tone, she did start to relax as she was able to talk about what happened. It also helped that he wasn't scolding her, nor judging like what she is used to. Aaxtrinioius was actually there for her, helping her understand all this when a part of her was almost afraid that he'd be upset with Izumo.

"I like being in control of my emotions, though lately, it almost seems impossible for some reason. I don't know how to control this anger I feel, it is something I've never had to deal with before."

She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment as she focused on his petting and listening to his calming heart beat, once more using him as a way to ground herself. After a few moments of hearing him out and just relaxing, she finally smiled again, her ears perking up slightly as she smelled food in the air. Suddenly a growl emerged from within her and she laughed a little.

"I guess it has been awhile since I've ate. I hadn't realized how late it was, how long did I sleep for?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aerthalla smiled when he woke up listening to what he had wanted to accomplish today, all the while she was putting the tray on a table out on the balcony.
"Well, lets see... it looks like smoked pulled pork is on the menu tonight."
She looked over the food noticing the roasted veggies, a nice fruit salad and fresh hot bread to go with the pulled pork. After sitting down and picking at the fruit salad a little she looked up to him finally responding to what he had said.
"I have a feeling you accomplished a lot more than you realize. You broke through the final walls that she hid behind. She has never once in her life, even has a child showed such anger and raw emotion before."
She sighed as she thought about the energy she felt in that storm cloud, all the hatred and anger that formed within it. It wouldn't surprise her at all if one of those lightning strikes actually hit Sythavorn.
"That storm earlier proves that you brought her out of hiding. She no longer has any masks, after today, it'll be difficult for her to hide again."
He didn't judge her, he didn't condemn her or tell her what she had done was wrong. She could feel that for herself. As she relaxed at the knowledge though Aaxtrinioius simply relaxed and held onto her. As she said that she had never hurt anyone before though he looked to her. " Because you were never allowed to. There is a certain time where people learn what it is like to hurt others, and how to make amends. You were never given that opportunity." He gently mused.
" You're going to be all right Keara." he gently assured, though he smiled as he added. " You are beautiful and kind in your true heart. These emotions that are coming out are a part of you. You have been forced to hide them away for so long, I am sure that it's been a shock to feel such things." He remarked, though he gently leaned his head onto hers, simply holding her.
" I take blame for that, for helping to open your eyes to love and what it can feel. That brought out the others and you are now dealing with them." He remarked as he gently smiled, though as she smelled the food, he chuckled.
" Arkana brought dinner, knowing you would be in no mood to dine with the others." He mused, though he smiled softly as she asked how long she had slept for. " You slept a few hours, it's nearing sunset." He mused, though he added. " Arkana said Izumo had been sleeping as well, so don't feel bad about resting yourself." He mused, though he simply picked her up and carried her over to the table.
There was smoked ham's, cheeses, breads that were buttered with honey and were covered and warm. Aaxtrinioius smiled to her and gently sat her down, though he ran his hand through her hair a final time before he moved and sat across from her, letting her relax on her own. He took some of the meat and pairing it with the bread, he looked to her gently.
" You aren't caged anymore Keara." He began carefully, though he gently added to it. " You will hurt people in your life. That's a part of it, and how you handle it will define you." He gently smiled though. " You will also learn to make amends, and will come to understand that these things define you. They aren't to be frightened of, or shunned, but accepted, dealt with, and moved on."
He mused, though he gently smiled and added. " In the end, no matter what you do, I will always hold and love you." He assured her softly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo nodded at the mention of the food, and moving over, he smiled gently at the look of it. " It looks delicious." He mused, though he sat down, his tails flicked a bit, though casually wrapped around the chair as he listened to her. Her description of Keara's life made him feel guilty about not trying harder to 'save her', but he simply nodded at that.

" Then she will have to adjust, and learn about herself. It will be good for her." He took some of the pork and popped it right into his mouth, though he smiled faintly. " I simply wish that she had chosen a different person to reveal herself with." He shrugged though, as he looked to her.

" I suppose in a way it's my fault, for prying into her thoughts and wanting her to become more than the frightened woman she was." He mused, though he sighed. He looked to her finally though.

" I just... wanted you to know, I appreciate you're being around, and comforting me... and not just because we fucked last night." He was open about his feelings, as with most 'normal' kitsune. Keara would come to understand herself with time. That was one thing Izumo had no doubt about.

Keara's ears went down a little when she found out how long she had slept. Then after hearing that Izumo was resting as well, she still felt bad but perked up a little. She still wasn't used to being carried around but it did make her laugh a little as she held onto him.

"Don't blame yourself too much. I did after all run away in the first place, all these things were bound to happen sooner or later. I just didn't expect it to be all at once."

Keara didn't waste time in diving into the food, picking up the bread and piling meat and cheese onto it. Though she did it eat it fairly slowly, not wanting to eat to fast. But she did miss lunch and was starving!

"I know deep down things will be alright. It just hurts is all, I hadn't realized a lot of things. I thought that he was simply protecting me all this time..... not keeping me like some pet. That's what hurts the most."

She started to quiet down a little more as she ate, clearly thinking about how to make amends with Izumo uncertain if anything she could ever say will help or make it worse.

"I did promise Izumo that I wouldn't talk about ... Sythavorn anymore... I know that it is difficult considering he is all I really know. But, perhaps that is what I need to do... to stop thinking about him so much. Like you said, I am not caged anymore."

Her ears kind of went down a little knowing that it is far easier said than done, it will be a hard promise to keep but it might be the only real way of proving herself to Izumo.

"I'm not afraid of the emotions itself rather being afraid of how they consume people. I've seen what happens when people hurt. I just don't wish to become like that, I don't want it to consume me."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aerthalla sat and listened to what he said while she ate, then shook her head slightly when he blamed himself for what had happened.
"Yes, it will be good for her. She ran away from us, if she hadn't ended up here it is hard to say where she could have gone. Be lucky she is here instead of in the hands of humans. Things could always be worse. She would have revealed herself sooner or later no matter where she landed."
She glanced at him with the last thing he had said and smirked slightly as he said that about last night.
"I do consider you as a friend, if things move forward, perhaps more in time. I can not imagine any of this is easy for you. If I know anything about kitsunes, you'll be ridiculed when you return home. You need to have someone by your side. After all, that is what friends are for, helping eachother out in a time of need."
He sighed when her ears went down, and slioghtly wanted to ask whether she would blame herself for everything. Life was not easy, nor was it meant to be. It was what decisions one made that defined them as a person. As she laughed and held onto him though he smiled, and set her down eventually.
" Oh i'm not worried too much over it. You're fully responsible for running away in the first place, though in retrospect, this was definitely the best place to come." After all ending up with humans would have been much worse.
As she ate though he cautioned her only once to slow down, commenting only that she might choke by eating so fast, but he was teasing. As she mentioned that about Sythavorn though Aaxtrinioius nodded slightly. " He obviously thought that he could use you in some way, though how I wouldn't want to imagine." He mused.
As she quieted down though he nodded about that. " The elf has caused everyone pain. I can understand where he would not want to hear it all straight away." He remarked. Yet seeing her worry, he but gently added. " You cannot spend your life in grief, otherwise you will never be happy. You will need to settle yourself for what you can within yourself, and then move on."
He npdded about proving herself to Izumo though he smirked. " Emotions are energy, they bring the greatest change to the world. Just look at the power that love brought? It overcame a goddesses curse." He mused, though added.
" I would have it no other way. When you are done, we are going to relax out on the balcony, I have a surprise I thought of while you slept that might help to relax you." He mused promisingly with that charming, handsome, sexy smile of his. There was always a naughty glint to his gaze as well, which told her she was in for a fun night at least.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo shuddered at the mentioning of humans, but he nodded. " That would have been much worse, humans cut kitsune tails off for their stupid superstitions." He grumbled slightly, but he simply sighed. He would do his best to 'make amends' with Keara, but he wasn't sure how that would go just yet. The future was as of yet unseen, the past remained as it was, UN-movable. Only the present was ever changing.

As she mentioned the coming of his returning home he simply nodded and shrugged. It was the custom, and that was what he would face when he returned. By the same token, he did want to return as well, to plan the next chapter of his existence. He gently reached forwards and taking her hand he squeezed it.

" I could use a distraction for the evening, do we still have a date?" He teasingly inquired, wondering if Aerthalla had wanted to withdraw trusting him with her tight little elven ass to pleasure. He smiled though added. " It's not just for tonight either... I think we both understand that." He mused, making it clear this wasn't just for physical attraction and pleasure, though if this night was anything like the last, she was in for a very intense time.

Keara sighed a little when he mentioned living in grief and enjoying life, though she also gave a little smile and smirked as well.

"Izumo said something similar, only he used guilt. I do not feel guilty about the things I have done, nor do I really grief on it. I'm just more confused if anything."

she perked up at the mention of a surprise though and her tails flickered a little with excitement. Yet, she glanced at the balcony wondering what was so special about it, the even more curious as to what he had planned.

"I do know that I have never been happier than I have been since finding you. I wouldn't want to change that for the world!"

When she did finish eating, she finished the glass of wine and stood up waiting for him while reaching out to take his hand.

"I don't want to talk about today anymore. At least, about... well... you know that stuff... I did learn a lot from Izumo though. I even learned how to make a storm cloud in my hands!!"

She naturally didn't realize about the bigger one she created earlier as she wasn't aware of it happening, but for now she was excited about the little things she had learned.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aerthalla laughed at his suggestion, taking his hand in return and nodded.
"I didn't want to say anything considering the situation, but yes.... We still have that date you promised."
She finished off what little food she was eating knowing somehow that she was going to need her energy for what he had planned.
"Distractions are always a good thing. And yes, I know that this more than just tonight."
She waited for him to finish with his meal and to see what he will do to start this 'distraction' he needed. Truth be told, she kind of needed some distraction herself. The day had been a long one for her, wondering just how she was going to set the old alliances back up behind 'his' back.
Aaxtrinioius but smirked as she said that, though he listened as she said that. " Well, whatever emotion drives you, you simply will need to allow yourself to work through it." He remarked, though as she perked up and glanced to the balcony, he smirked and nodded.
" Well then you have one consistent in your life at least. I find the more constants you have, the happier you are." He mused, though as she finished her glass and stood reaching for his hand, he rose himself and took her hand as he nodded.
" Some days you simply have to move beyond." He mused, though he lead her out, and she could see Arkana's 'touch' there as the little elf had set up a padded table, there a side one that had bottles and small bowls of oil, Aaxtrinioius but smiled. " I thought since you had worked so hard today, I would give you a massage." He mused.
He was proud of her for having overcome many things, and she had even overcome herself in a way. Aaxtrinioius gently gave her hand a squeeze, before he added. " Arkana said that she was spending the evening with some visitors that had come with Aerthalla, but that she would see to your morning bath." He mused as he let her hand go.
" Now then, go on behind the screen, strip, and when you're ready climb onto the table. I want you to leave your ears and tails out, I have some oils to help your coat shine." He had been so thoughtful already, and it seemed that Keara was going to be spoiled some more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo smiled as she took his hand in return, he gave her a squeeze but shook his head as he regarded her.

" Good, I wouldn't want you to think simply because I have had a difficult day that it changes how I feel for you." He gently assured. As she finished her food though he smirked as he leaned back, though as she said that about the distraction, Izumo smiled and nodded.

As he finished his meal though, he got up and giving her a playful look, he had released her hand, he easily going for a moment and returning with a silken tie, he easily circled around behind her before he carefully wrapped the silk over her eyes and over her ears, it blindfolding her as he grinned.

" Tonight, you're going to give me your ass." He purred, though he tightened the blindfold comfortably but ensured that it would not come undone, he leaned in and licked the length of her left ear, even as his hands smoothed over the elf's shoulders. " You're going to surrender all choice, and simply take your enjoyment, because though you have never experienced this before, you know I will keep you safe."

He slid his hands beneath her arms and pulled her up to her feet, she blind and having to trust his guidance. " Are you ready Aerthalla?" His little 'distraction' tonight and hers as well, would be just how well he dominated her, took away all choice and left her with only one 'option'... to enjoy!

Keara had to smirk a little at the thought of her entertaining the twins and wondered if they will be able to keep up with her. It was also a good thing he requested for her tails to be left out because she was just about to hide them so they wouldn't be his way.

As she went behind the screen to strip down, she was biting her lower lip with anticipation. The thought of his hand roaming all over her excited her as well.

"It is a beautiful night for this that's for sure."

She slowly came out from behind the screen with a sudden shyness, mostly with not really knowing what to expect from this. Massages were rare for her and the few she has had were weak and always felt incomplete, rushed.

"I will do what I can to move forward, I just need to start thinking differently is all."

Spoke gently as she started to get onto the table adjusting to the position and getting comfortable. Though she didnt' know what to do with her tails, so they were twitching with excitement.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aerthalla gasped slightly as he blind folded her, though she didn't argue with him, nor try to take it off. She smiled even though she was a bit frightened at the idea of all this.
"Yes... Sir. I trust you fully..."
another gasp left her lips as he licked her ear, then held onto him as he guided her not having much of a choice in the matter. Her steps were careful and her heart was pounding in her ears with much anticipation.
Arkana herself had said that she would be so happy to send out word to the Wild elves that the curse had been lifted, and then these two handsome rangers came to the castle! It was truly a blessing, and she was going to have a blast with it!
Even as she went to the screen, he nodded. " It was the sight of the stars that brought me the idea. Besides, tending to you makes me happy." He remarked, though as she made her way to the table, he nodded simply to her.
" Just relax my love." He softly mused, his hands gently guiding her tails to settle, though as she positioned herself, he took the warm oil and drizzling it onto her back, it was soon being smoothed over her bare flesh, her lover seeming truly in no rush as he massaged her, though he smiled to her.
" Let me know if i'm being too hard with you." He soothed, but his voice was deep, rumbling with desire as he 'handled' her nude body, he worked down and switching oils, he was soon working it into her tails one at a time, she feeling how he was so careful not to hurt her, yet every inch of her was being worked on.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Izumo grinned as she gasped, though as she smiled, he could feel her tension despite herself, but as she was raised up, he smiled as he held onto her, though as she did to him, he guided her over to a stool that he had seen earlier.

Stopping her there, she could feel him nimbly working on the ties of her dress, though as it slid down and off her, Izumo grinned. " Beautiful." He didn't go right after her ass straight away, instead he thought of a playful slight game that they could play.

" You have one task, you will undress me, blindly, however you may only use your mouth to do so." He grinned at the task, it wouldn't be too difficult, after all she knew he was only wearing a pair of black and red pants along with the deep red vest. Yet it was still a 'game'.

He let her move around blindly, but every time she would 'catch up to him', he would move out of her reach after five seconds. Only a few steps each time, but enough to 'make' her follow after him, she fully naked, he certainly admiring her vulnerable and exposed body! He didn't 'give her a choice' in it either, the task was achievable, so they would continue until he was naked as well.
