David ap Gillen The Welsh Bard

Approaching the manor, I am in awe of the beauty surrounding it. The vast fields, the stables, the shops, all amaze me, tremendously raising my spirits. I smile at David, delighted with the friendly warmth this place looks to hold.

I look shyly at the young lord who comes running to greet us. He captures my attention with the manner in which he treats me, like such a lady, it makes me blush. Showing us our rooms, again I am overwhelmed not only with the décor of his home, but of the beautiful spacious guest rooms as well.

Standing at the door, I turn to look up at David before he goes to his room. I smile softly at him. His eyes tell me his thoughts and feelings. I lean up and brush a soft kiss across his cheek.

“Good night David and thank you for bringing me to such a beautiful place.”

My words are whispered softly to him. My eyes filled with love and understanding as I turn, closing the door behind me.

With Sara well situated in a good home with a young lord to care for her I slip out at night to again wander alone on the open road. It is my lot to lead a solitary life for such is the life of the bard always on the move no roof or home of his own.

And so Ends Sara's tale.

Will there be another only time will tell.
