Phyliss Ovida
"Yes. We just play it cool." Phyliss walked inside, feeling much safer as usual with Gryph behind her back. The floor of the tavern wasn't very big. There was a narrow staircase to the left, that probably went up to the rooms. To the right were some steps that lead to a larger room, halfways in the cellar, which hosted the tavern itself. In front of them was a kind of wooden cabin with a large window in it. There were a few people down in the tavern, but she did not see anybody in the cabin. She looked through the window, and saw that it was probably the private room of the innkeeper, and a place were he could observe the newcomers, but it was locked with a grille.
"We have to go down there. Just be determined here." She walked down the stairs into the tavern, and it got quiet as everybody watched the newcomers. Not all of the guests were humans, but a gorgon and a giant like Gryph were still quite a sensation even at this kind of place. She walked cool and selfconfident over to the counter and ordered a room for two persons. The innkeeper was really perplex by the sight, but he did not throw them out - maybe he didn't even dare to do. The price he asked was quite expensive for such a place, but she paid it and took the key. If they would have some drinks, she would be out of money in one or two days. But she paid herself because she was afraid that goodnatured Gryph would just take some coins of his backpack, showing his gold to everyone.
