Dedicated To Love

Blooms of Monet

Flowers bloom, colors emerge, petals unfurl
Breeze sways, soft touch, sunlight dapples
Fragrant air, nature's tapestry, bees hum
Butterflies flutter, dewdrops kiss
Golden rays weave, flowers sway.
Love blooms, grows, and embraces
Promises unspoken, pure and true
Eternal devotion, love withstands
Our love flourishes, unity's testament.
Solace in blooms, affection's caress
Love withstands time, forever blooming
Love blossoms, whispers of affection
Hearts dance, tender embrace.
You bring joy, soft touch, warm love
My bloom, entwined hearts
Love grows, unfolds, spring's sway
Souls sing, intertwined, love's rebirth.

What amazed me about seeing Monet's work up close were the thousands of tiny brush strokes that you could see when up close to the painting, like he would have been when painting, but stepping back and seeing the overall work. It just gave me an appreciation for what goes into painting a masterpiece.

Yes, that's what I love about his works. Up close they can look like colorful splotches of nothing. Then you see from afar and it all really comes into focus as a painting. Makes feel like I am a part of the painting.

Friendly Fire

The campfire reaches
Lighting the night
Rolling the logs
Red embers take flight
Sharing our memories
Eating nuts for snacks
Spitting shells in the fire
The fire spitting them back
We laugh at jokes
And sarcastic remarks
Smoke waters our eyes
We run from the sparks
The conversation lags
As the evening tires
We all kick back
Put more wood on the fire
Center of attention
Entertaining as well
We become entranced
Succumb to it's spell
Unrecognized faces
On the bark as it burns
Enchantment transcends
All lack of concern
The warmth lives inside
As we slowly turn in
Our friend the fire
Has cleansed us again

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in]

BY E. E. CUMMINGS

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
