Democrat Sun Prince Okays Port Deal

in fact, Carter was known as the GENTLEMAN REDNECK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great civil rights warriors: Robert Byrd of W. Virginia, Jimmy Carter of Georgia. Great women rights warriors: the Kennedy brothers of Mass, Bill Clinton of Arkansas. As long as you are a Democrat, it doesn't matter what you really are, it will be papered over. The sad thing is how little their constituents care as long as they hear the right things and their so-called leaders got paid off.

Mariotta Daily Journal

The paper

You never heard of Mariotta GA?
I've heard of Marietta. There is no Mariotta. This is why I laugh so hard when you start shouting about facts.

So DOGGY

The story on RedneckCarter got to you?

He is a DIRTBALL SCUMBAG segragationist!

Can someone 'splain to me why, exactly, this deal with DPW should get me all up in arms?

The idea may give you a boner, but it will be hard to come in below the whale shit of the Clinton administration. :)

Take a look at these statistics of Clinton's popularity both while in office and post-presidency.

Compare those against Fearless Leader 43 and get back to me.

That's feeble, even for you.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Washington group that seeks to promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims, said some of the reaction smacks of prejudice.
''No one seems to be criticizing the company itself, but they're most concerned with the religion and ethnicity of its owners,'' said spokesman Ibrahim Hooper. ``It's what we have to deal with in the post-9/11 era.''
But lawmakers like Ros-Lehtinen, who is aiming to become the next chair of the House International Relations Committee, were unapologetic about their stance.
''They've been a strong ally, but what about tomorrow?'' Ros-Lehtinen said of the United Arab Emirates.

I don't always agree with CAIR, but that does seem to be what's happening here. I don't see too many people arguing against this deal on the basis that the UAE is an enemy (since they aren't), or even that all foreign ownership at American ports is a bad thing. The sticking point is that the UAE is an Arab country.

If there's a good argument against this sale to the Dubai folks, I'd like to see one based on something other than vague uneasiness.

Speaking of uneasiness: A moron like Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is going to be head of the International Relations Committee? Yikes.

The sticking point for me is that it is a government owned company. That's just wrong, whatever the country.

Those will mean little or nothing to the cold stare of history. Historians will measure with laser like accuracy the depths to which he submerged his honor. The full degree of his incompetence and irresponsibility have to date only been hinted at. Piss on George Bush all you want, it will be Bill Clinton sitting there next to Andrew Johnson.

Speaking of pissing on George W. Bush..
Of 415 historians who expressed a view of President Bush’s administration to this point as a success or failure, 338 classified it as a failure and 77 as a success.

That's, hmmm, 81%? wow...your beloved Fearless Leader has a long way to go.
(yeah yeah I know it's unscientific and I know you should wait 50 years to pass judgement on a presidency...I just wanted to give you a taste of how far out of the mainstream your position is)

Bush will be villified by history if for no other reason than his policy of Preemptive War.

Since this is Bushco we are talking about, after all, the questions we should be asking are:
"Who in the administration is getting rich off of this deal?"
And "Who in the administration got bought off?"

Could it be, maybe, John W. Snow?

The U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) meets in secret and is headed by Treasury Secretary John Snow. In 2004, DP World purchased part of the American company CSX for over $1 billion. Before he became Treasury Secretary, John Snow was Chairman and CEO of CSX.
