(OOC: Closed thread for LordMikel and myself. But, read and enjoy!"

In 1750 there was a small village called, “Sun Rising” on the outskirts of Ireland. This village was devoutly Christian and under the rule of Ard Tiarna (Paramount Lord) Duncan McDowell. Living in this village required living by the strict laws set by the Ard Tiarna and fiercely enforced by the Tiarna (Lord) named Caleb Patterson.

Any woman who was deemed to be a whore or witch was banished from the village for a certain amount of time on the first offence. The second offence called for permanent banishment. Any woman who returned after permanent banishment faced possible death.

Tiarna Patterson had one daughter and two sons. His daughter, Catherine was fiercely jealous of the attention a maiden named Riona received from the males of their age due to her unmatched beauty. She and Riona were both 18 years of age when Catherine finally devised a plan to be rid of the one she saw as competition- Riona. She decided to convince the villagers that Riona was a whore.

Riona had previously rejected the advances of Catherine’s brothers, as she rejected all offers in an effort to remain pure. This left the evil brothers embarrassed and angry. They readily agreed to help their sister in their mission. The plan was simple and was set into motion quickly.

On the day of a formal ball Catherine slipped a drug into Riona’s punch that would leave her seeming like she was drunk and giddy. When the drug began to take effect the brothers lured her into a study in the great mansion. Riona had no idea what was really going on and was not really in her right mind. She was pushed over a desk as one brother held her hands. Riona was almost unconscious as she struggled to remain conscious. The other brother stood behind her and pulled her gown up to reveal her underside. He then pulled his own pants to down.

Catherine watched the brothers take Riona and gave them a few moments to set up. She then drew attention to the study by telling a few people, “There seems to be mischievousness afoot in that study. She led a large group of people to the study and opened the door. The people gasped and Catherine acted shocked, “Brothers!” The brother behind her quickly pulled his pants up and the one holding her hands let go of her. She fell to the floor in a heap and passed out.

She awoke the next morning tied to a bed with religious heads and the Tiarna sitting by watching her. When she awoke she was told by the Tiarna in a stern voice, “Whores and witches are banned from Rising Sun Village. You have been found to be a whore. In the morning you shall be banished from this village for 1 year. You will be sent to the Weeping Hollows forest. If you survive you may return in one year.”

Riona was confused, “What do you speak of? I am no whore! Why am I tied down?!”

The Tiarna slapped her face, “Whore! Lying too?! Say nothing more or risk being publicly beaten as well!” Riona began to cry and begged to be released. The Tiarna looked down at her and gritted his teeth, “You will be released tomorrow for banishment!” He then turned on his heels and left.

The next morning she was untied and allowed to relieve herself. She was escorted out of the village to the edge of the forest. The Tiarna loudly announced to the village, “Here stands a whore that will be banished from our village for one year. If she survives, she may return.”

This forest was usually off limits to anyone but hunting parties due to the belief a Demon lived in the forest. Sending Riona into this forest could have very well been a death sentence. Riona’s mother pleaded to the Tiarna as she pointed this fact out. The Tiarna ignored her pushed Riona forward, “Go now, Whore! Be gone from our pure village!” He then loudly announced to the villagers, “Everyone will now turn their backs to this whore. Those who do not will be found to support her whorish behavior. Thus resulting in a public beating.” Everyone turned their backs and the weepy Riona entered the forest. The Tiarna then shouted to the villagers, “Return to your lives now, there is nothing more to see here.” They all obeyed.

Riona shouted out to the people, “I didn’t do anything! I am still a virgin!” Everyone ignored her and she dropped to her knees crying into her hands. She eventually stood and brushed off her blue gown with visible white lacy petticoat. The tall beautiful maiden stood alone. Her long braided golden blond hair glistened under the sunlight and her deep blue eyes were glossed over with tears. Her flawless fair skin seemed to delicate to live in the forest. Her lush naturally red lips were still trembling with sadness. Her large breasted chest still quivered as she sniffled.

Riona exhaled and looked around. She knew nothing of wilderness survival and had no idea what to do or where to go. She began to aimlessly wander through the forest in search of anything that could serve as a shelter. As night was approaching she began to feel hungry and searched for berries. Fortunately she did eventually find some. After filling herself on berries she wandered a bit more until nightfall came. She settled into the large roots of a tree and soon fell asleep under the moonlight. She knew she was probably not safe and she was frightened. But, she didn’t know what else to do as fatigue took its’ course on her. In the morning she would continue her search for shelter.

Faranaziel

Faranaziel or Faran for short lived in the Forest. He heard the humans call it Weeping Hollows Forest, but he paid the name no mind.

His story is a sad but true one. Faran was a warrior. A warrior who knew no equal. A seasoned warrior who had fought in battle after battle. Battles which had waged for years and years, sometimes even decades. Sometimes there were century long lulls between battles, but Faranaziel always answered the call.

Faranaziel was a demon, and fighting is what demons do.

That and play in games of treachery.

Currently he was on the losing end of the last game of treachery. He had distinguished himself too well, and there were those who were jealous. Jealousy breeds contempt. Contempt breeds betrayal. Betrayal leads to death.

Usually.

He had escaped death by fleeing to here. So here is where he was, waiting, watching.

So he watched her as she arrived. She wasn't the first, and she probably wouldn't be the last. But he watched her. She certainly did have a nice form for walking.

As nght approached and she curled up beneath some roots, he finally decided to make his presence known.

She had lasted the day, impressive, many did not.

He approached her quietly, and once he was within 10 feet of her, he finally made his presence known.

"Come with me." He said quite simply.

The voice was quite sure and strong sounding. Standing there was a very human looking male. Long blonde hair was barely visible benath his dark green cloak. But as he lowerd the hood, even in the dim light, she'll see his handsome face. He holds in his hand another cloak, which he holds out to offer to her.

"Come with me and I'll take you someplace warm."

Riona slept lightly and was awakened by a voice. She was trembling a bit from the bite of the night time chill as she slooked up to the stranger. She felt a bit nervous in his presence but the sound of someplace warm put a smile on her face.

She stood and her delicate fingers took the cloak from him. Riona quickly donned to cloak and felt a bit warmer. With a smile she said, "Thank you kind stranger. Somewhere warm to rest sounds delightful!" Riona felt as though she had nothing else to lose so she was willing to follow the stranger.

As she looked to him she could not help but notice how handsome he was. No male in her village coud match him. She wondered if where he came from had a problem with his attractiveness as well. IN her most friendly voice she said, "Please, lead. I will follow."

For a second Faran smiles at the young woman, but then he turns and begins to lead her deeper into the forest.

He keeps a steady pace, but always manages to stay in sight. It truly wouldn't do to lose such a pretty morsel along the way.

He had been in the forest for quite awhile and knew his way, knew where to step or not to step.

Finally though he decides to ask a question. "So what's your name?"

Ahead there appears to be a building of some kind.

Riona followed the handsome stranger in silence. He led her deeper into the forest. Riona could not help but notice how comfortable he seemed in the forest. Almost as if he lived there. If not, she thought he must be one of the best Hunters from where ever he was from. When a building of some sort came into view he asked her name. In an almost shy voice she answered, "Riona. What is your name? Are you a hunter from one of the nearby villages?" She returned his smile as she continued to follow.

Well she did know proper etiquette, to ask for someone's name after their own was given. That was always a good thing.

"Faran." He replied quietly as the building came into full view. It was a small cottage, one might describe as cozy.

"Hunter? No." Replies Faran as he makes his way to the cottage and opens the front door.

"You would probably classify me as more of a hermit." He indicates for her to enter.

Riona smiled as he answered her quesitons. As she stepped into his cozy cottage. As the door closed behind her she turned to him, "You seemed to know this forest well. Now I understand why. You live in the forest. I have never known anyone who did not live amongst a village, someone who lived by themselves in the wilderness." She looked around the quaint cottage and glanced to the fire place wishing it was lit.

Riona looked back to him, "Thank you for opening your home to me. My people have bansihed me unfairly. I have no home and it seems no one to care for me. I was frightened when I was banished to the forest. Honestly I did not think I'd make it through the night without some beast eating me. Or that demon my people believe lives in this forest would find me. But then you found me. I am indebted to you for your kindness, Faran."

She stepped closer to him and with a puzzled look she said, "We know why I am out here. May I be as bold as to ask why you live out here all alone? One would think you have lived out here for a long time. Have you ever seen this supposed Demon?"

Riona could not help but delight in the beauty of his face. He almost looked like one would expect an Angel to look like. He was flawless and beautiful. Yet, still strong and masculine.

"Demon? Now that's funny, unless you count me, there are no demons in the forest." He says it so charmingly and truthful. "And it doesn't surprise me that you don't know anyone who lives sstrictly in the forest. That would require journeying to the forest."

Faron removes his cloak and hangs it onto a hook by the door. He motions to a second cloak for Fiona's own cloak.

He makes his way to the fireplace and within seconds a small fire is burning, filling the room with warmth.

"So banished to the forest, pretty unimaginative. They could've put you in chains, disfigured you, which would've been a loss, or even locked you into a basement. So consider yourself lucky."

He takes a seat onto a larger chair, getting himself comfortable. "Now my own reasons, I was having some ... family problems at home and decided I needed time to think and contemplate on life. So here I am."

Riona chuckled at the thought of him being a Demon. She thought to herself he was indeed kidding. She then placed her cloak on the hook he had motioned to. When she turned around she was amazed to see he had the fire lit so fast. She had never seen anyone light a fire that fast.

Riona sat in a chair near the fire as she allowed the warmth to envelop her. She listened as he spoke of his reasons for being in the forest alone. With a sigh she said, "I am sorry to hear you are having family problems. But, at least you chose to be out here. As you said, they could have done worse to me I suppose."

Riona then yawned as she was still fatigued, "I am so tired. Is there somewhere I might rest for now and we can talk more in the morning? If I am being rude, please forgive me."

"Of course." Saysa Faran with a smile. "You may use my bed for tonight. I will be quite comfortable sleeping out here for the night and I'm not surprised that you are tired, it couldn't be that comfortable sleeping where you are."

He stands and leads her to the back of the cottage, his own bedroom. The bed itself is quite large and could easily hold 2 people, perhaps even 3 or more. It is longer then a normal bed, designed to possibly fit an ogre or other large person.

"The bed is large as I've always liked room to be able to move about. We can talk about more things in the morning, especially what you shall be doing."

Riona smiled at the size of the bed. She had never seen one so big and looked forward to resting in it. She sat on the edge of the bed and looked up to him, "Thank you again for your kindness. I am looking forward to resting. But, I am not sure it would be best for me to sleep in these clothes in your bed. You never know what bug I may be carrying on my clothes. And I am sure my clothes are dirty. Do you have something I might borrow to sleep in? Perhaps an old shirt? You are so much bigger than me that I am sure one of your shirts would be perfect for me to sleep in."

As she looked up to him she could not help but imagine him taking the shirt of fhe was wearing. She would have loved to see his bare chest. She had never found anyone attractive before. So the feelings she had were strange to her. But, she pretended well that he was just a noce person who helped her out. There was no way she'd let this stranger know there was an attraction. Not just yet anyway.

Faran nodded. "Of course, how could I be so unthoughtful."

He rummaged through the drawers of his dresser and tossed her a shirt to wear. It was indeed quite long and would fit her easily.

He stood there for a second, imagining her changing, and while that would be quite an intriguiung sight, such would not be tonight.

"Is there anything else you require? Otherwise I shall leave you to your sleep."

Riona smiled to him and thanked him when he gave her the shirt. She picked it up and looked up to him, "I believe this will be enough for tonight. I am also greatful that you lit that fire. Perhaps you should go and rest as well. It is late."

Riona walked toward the door and rested her hand on the knob. She was waiting for him to leave the room so that she might change and go to sleep. When he left the room she pushed the door closed and turned away from the door as she approached the bed. She thought the door closed all the way but it did not. A small crak was left open- perfect for spying eyes.

Riona quickly removed her dress and petticoat. She stood in her bloomers corset. She then looked down and began unlacing the white corset. After a fer a few moments she sighed a sigh of relief as the corset fell to the floor and her breasts were freed. She kept the bloomers on, however.

Riona then sat on the bed now facing the door that she thought was closed all the way. She slipped on the borrowed shirt and then buttoned it up. She found she liked the way his shirt felt on her. It was soft yet firm and warm. She sat for a moment rubbing her arms as she enjoyed the material against her flesh.

She then stood and walked over to the side of the bed and turned down the linen. With a sigh of contentment she slid into the bed. Riona snuggled into the pillow and was soon asleep.

Faran leaves the room and takes a seat at the fire once again. He stretches his body and stares into the fire and then at the door. At the what he thoguht was completely closed door. But now he can see that it is partially open.

As he stares he can see her beginning to undress. While he knows that he should look away, he knows that he cannot, and instead watches as she removes one article of clothing after another.

As the corset hits the floor, he lets out a low gasp, she certainly does have an impressive body, one that he wouldn't mind exploring in the future.

But then she puts his own shirt on and slips into the bed. Faran makes himself comfortable and falls asleep.

*****

Hours later Faran wakes and decides to begin to prepare some breakfast. He was hungry and he figured his guest would be as well.

Riona slept peacefully and comfortable in Faran's bed. The large bed seemed even more comfortable than the bed she slept in at her parents home. But then some time later she began to dream. Her mind remembered what happened in her village. When it got to the part of her standing at the forest edge she was shouting in her dream, "I didn't do anything wrong! I am pure!" She began to toss and turn in her sleep. Then she began to whimper in her sleep. And finally she began to talk out loud as she slept saying, "I didn't do anything wrong.... pure...." Her peaceful rest became a nightmare. A nightmare that seemed to fill the room she slept in with pain and her cries.

Faran began to hear the whimpers and the cries. At first he ignored them, allowing Riona the opportunity to sleep. But as he sounds became louder, he finally decided to go in and check on her.

Seeing her thrash he walks in and gently taps her on the arm. "I'm sure you are pure." He whispers, "Now it is time to wake."

Riona heard a sotthing voice in her sleep that said, "I am sure you are pure." This gentle caring voice awoke her from her nightmare as she heard him say, "It is time to wake." She sat up with tears in her eyes and could not speak. She reached out and took hold of his arm as she wept. His voice was soothing to her and she wanted to be comforted. As she sobbed she said, "I know it was her. I know she wanted me gone.... the jealous wench! No one would believe me, Faran! They all believed only what their eyes saw. They treated me like a harlot and threw me out like garbage. I was drugged, Faran. I just know I was. I didn't know what I was doing. But, I was spread over a table as they pretended to have had sex with me. I have never hated anyone. But, I hate her! She caused me shame and banishment all because she was jealous of the beauty that attracted more to me than her." Riona sniffed as she tried to end the stream of tears, "It's so unfair, Faran." With her saddened blue eyes she looked up to him pitifully hurt as if she wanted some hope from him. Or at least understanding.

"Just let it all out." Whispers Faran. "You'll feel better. It is truly amazing what people will do because of pettiness. In truth she shall not get what she wants, since you are still here, she will still be jealous of you. And she has lost her chance to prove herself better then you." He warps his arm around her, "Take comfort in that knowledge. Forever in the back of her mind, she will always know that you are better then her."

As he held her in his arms and spoke such soothing words she relaxed. She sniffled a couple more times and then looked up to him again. But, this time a smile turned up the corners of her eyes, "You are right. Thank you so much for understanding. You have indeed comforted me. I understand that I should put all that stuff behind me. She is not deserving of any more thought from me."

Riona craned her neck up and kissed Faran gently on his cheek. She then moved out of his embrace and out of the bed. She stretched and yawned, "Your bed is wonderful, Faran. Very comfortable." She sniffed the air and smiled to him, "What is that wonderful smell? What are you cooking? I am so hungry."

"Eggs and some meat. A good breakfast, enough for two." Replies Faran with a smile as he glances down at Riona's figure. He could still feel her kiss on his cheek and he had to admit, he very much liked it.

"Then perhaps we can discuss what your plans are." He steps away from the bed and begins to make his way back to the kitchen. "But yes, I've always liked that bed, quite comfortable."

Riona rubbed her stomach once as she followed him to the kitchen, "Mmmm.... Sounds good. It definitely smells good." When in the kitchen, she sat down in a quaint wooden chair at the quaint wooden table. As he prepared the food she deiced to talk.

She cleared her throat and said, "As for plans.... I have none. I have nowhere in mind to go. I have nowhere in mind to reside during this unjust banishment. The only plans I have I suppose is to try and survive best I can. Mind you, I know nothing of wilderness sruvival. Well, except for what berries and roots are ok. That is a result of helping my mother cook." She sighed, "At least I got one night of comfortable and safe sleep thanks to you. And it appears I will be getting at least one good meal thanks to you. You have been very kind and if you don't mind, I may stop in for a visit every now and then."

Riona hoped he would ask her to stay in his cottage. She was not quite brave enough to ask him herself. She glanced around the cottage and thought to herself, "I would love to stay here." At those times it was not fitting for a woman to reside in the same abode with a man who was not her husband, grandfather or brother. But, since se was banished Riona thought it wouldn't make much difference now. Most likely no one would know anyway. And even if they did find out, she wasn't sure she'd even care.

Faran began to serve the food as he listened to Riona talk of not having any place to go. He wondered if she would want to stay. While he was in self imposed exile, he found it might be entertaining to have someone else here.

In truth, he could've gone anywhere, but he had no desire for that. Crowds and people might've been interesting for some, but what he needed was quiet. An inner journey to find himself.

Of course, it was rather dull out here by himself. Finding inner peace, was enlightening, but slow. Some might argue he was insane, since at times he did tend to talk to himself, simply to hear the sound of his own voice.

As he takes a seat across from Riona, "Would you like to stay here for awhile? It wouldn't seem right to simply kick you out all alone until you know a bit about what you're doing."

Riona could not hide her relief. She sighed and smiled to him, "I was hoping you'd say that. I would very much like to stay here with you. You are most kind and I feel safe." She tasted the food and made the mmmm sound people make when the food is good. She looked up to him, "And a great cook as well, my friend."

Filled with aappreciation she jumped up from her chair and walked over to him as he sat. She leaned down and tenderly hugged his neck and kissed his cheek, "Thank you so much, Faran. I have known you for no more than a solid day and you are already the best friend I have ever had." She released the embrace and brought a hand up to rest against one of his cheeks and looked into his eyes. Full of sincerity she said, "Thank you, Faran. I will never forget your kindness."

"I have to be a good cook, I won't tolerate tasting bad food." Replies Faran with a rougish smile. "But don't think you'll be getting a hand out, there's work to be done around here, and we will need to think about sleepnig arrangements. I have no desire to spend the rest of my days sleeping on a chair."

As she gave him the hug, Faran wished he was in a better position to really appreciate it. "I thank you for the compliment and hopefully you still feel that way after living with me for a few days."

Riona found that she rather liked the feel of her lips against his flesh. She kissed him upon his forehead when he finished speaking and stood upright, "I am sure living with you will be just fine, dear Faran. We seem to get along nicely. And I know how to cook and clean. You hunt the food and chop firewood. I will clean and cook the food and keep this place clean. I see no reason why such an arrangement should produce problems. And you can even teach me a bit about hunting. I'd like to go hunting with you some time."

Riona blushed a bit as she imagined sleeping next to the handsome Faran, "As for sleeping arrangements...." Riona sat down to finish eating, "I agree that sleeping on that chair is not a good idea." She took a bite of the food and after chewing it she looked to him again, "That bed of yours is quite large. We could share the bed, Faran. We could string a sheet from the celing to split the bed in half. I would sleep on one side and you the other." Riona giggled a bit as she pretended to be unintimidated by him, "I am sure you can mind your hands." Riona ate the rest of her food and dared not raise her eyes to meet Faran's. She didn't want him to know that there was an attraction for him.
