Briana had strange dreams most of her childhood about demons and openings on the floor that spewed brimstone and lava like heat. Most of the time she saw strange creatures creep from the hole and walk about the wooden floors.

This terrified her as she felt that she was a good person and what little she knew about Christianity didn't deserve this strange nightmare.

For two years she was on medication after her eighteenth birthday to find some peace from her dreams. She had no idea that her dreams were honestly a portal to the earthly realm and for a invasion of demonic proportions.

Now nearing her twenty-first birthday her dreams have changed. A man of handsome features comes to her and vows to grant her motherhood but at a high mortal price. The child would be a demonic offspring, a thought she can't imagine nor wants to accept.

Yet the day will come, and she fears that it may be soon and it may mean more then one lover as demons love to create misery.

Briana tries to fight sleep as she sits in front of her computer watching the recent episode of "Heroes" that she missed due to college classes. Everything hinges on her faith to remain untainted.... until she can no longer fight slumber from possessing her body.

Thanks and Happy New Year 2009 ~ Landi

Outside of Briana's home was a dressed in a white suit. Everything about it was white, even the shoes, except for the vest and tie. Each were a dark red, from a distance it had the color of blood. His hair looked to be the same color as granite, it was slicked back. On his face was a beard that wasn't bushy. It was maintained a little bit so it looked presentable.

Both eyes were closed as he was focusing on the young girl. Hell had its own heroes given special rights and privileges in the world of fire. Those that had been marked to be mothers of future soldiers. Soon Briana would have enjoyed such perks, after the breeding.

He was focusing on making the visions she was experiencing stronger. All the thoughts of her on her back, all fours, with some man on top of her, behind her and whatever position Briana secretly craved. After a while demons would have been in their place, but only after he focused for many minutes. He wanted her not to care what took her after so long with this visions. At the moment he was simply planting a seed. A seed that would one day blossom into acceptance as she was going to mother at least one demon if not several.

The television show does little to keep those icy blue eyes from closing. Turning to the computer didn't alleviate the problem as the sound of crashing waves fill the room.

"No!" Briana shouted to the empty doorway. "You can't come in."

The suggestion of not allowing the bad dream have control didn't seem to help either. Briana stood up and began to pace and sing deep southern gospel songs.

They would have no effect as she didn't have faith in them. Briana could not accept that one man did all those feats and only have one book cover his life's story to end horrifically.

The lover has shown himself once more.. very handsome. A cross between actors she foolishly yearns for.. and lately they would kiss her but when it leads to sex, Briana wakes up.

Quietly the demon straightened his suit. Pulling off the tie off he replaced it with a priest collar. In his hand was a special pamphlet. The pull of the devil went to a few places. Some of the evangelicals should have been cal evandemonic. Their zeal mixed with subtle impressions turned a decent present down the wrong path. Well, the right path in the demon's mind. Quietly he walked to Briana's apartment then slipped the pamphlet under the door.

The paper had a touch of magic to it. All of the magic was to make the place irresistible to her. Like maybe her faith or strength could have been restored to her. The pamphlet started out like many religious papers with things on the cover that said, "Feeling lost?" "Feeling abandoned?" then opening it up talked about this particular church, how it had the answer, the passion of the preacher, how people looked happy and full of faith. The back had a picture of the building along with address and directions.

Walking down the hall the demon started to form a plan. He was going to get the woman at the church be it after several trips or just one. Continuing out of the building he looked up toward the woman's room to see how the pamphlet made her feel.

Briana came back to the kitchen and set ti washing dishes when she heard something outside her door. Briana saw the paper under the door and stepped on it as if squishing a bug.

"I said NO!" Briana vented as she looked at the same paper. It doesn't change or burst in flames like she expected.

Briana bends over and picks the pamphlet up from the floor. She reads it several times before setting it on the kitchen table.

After the last reading she thought she would check it out.

Feeling that magic reach out into Briana the Demon smiled. He pulled back on the dreams and the sensations. What he hoped was simple human condition. people were a superstitious lot. There was nothing wrong with this because sometimes matters of faith merged with superstitious habits. He was hoping that the church would have comforted her. That she would have jumped to the conclusion that something about this church kept the dreams at bay.

Signalling for a cab the man in white just waited. A cab eventually grabbed the man and took him to the place he was staying at on the mortal plane. Honestly he was excited deep down despite it not showing on his face. Briana was special. She was going to be the mother to many demons.

Places on Earth had people like Briana. People spent money on them for school, acting lessons, singing, etc. Blood, sweat and tears went into these people. Those behind, if they were companies and organizations, often considered these fortunate/unfortunate souls to be investments.

Briana was an investment. All of the dreams, the stress, the side of darkness wanted to break her down. They did not want her to fear their side. They wanted her to embrace every moment of what was to be her new life.

When Sunday came people were lining up to the church. It was a big place that had light grey/white walls. The front was littered with glass between doors and many windows that just scrawled upward to the roof. Anyone that saw the place and had faith would have considered the place to be letting in God's light and love.

The building had the traditional looking steeples and event he building itself looked to be in the shape of a hexagon rather than a traditional square. Clearly the church was either new or in the past three to five years rebuilt from the ground up. Not everyone there was of the devil. Far from, some people felt moved by faith. Darkness and demons were willing to play a long game. They were willing to take a few sheep from the flock and convert them. It was just easier to speak of God and Demons at a church. Basically they were hiding and manipulating in plain sight.

People were there to greet Briana with smiles. They even said, "God Bless." As she went inside there was a lush red carpet. Light shone down. People were there to greet her, if she were willing, with hugs and handshakes. Eventually the man in white, who was now wearing dark blue suit with a red tie, had managed to hug Briana as people were trying to greet her.

As they hugged he whispered, "Thank you for coming, I do hope you stay afterwards for a pot luck and you're not a stranger here," his words were smooth like a fine liquor. He pushed magic into them. Like the pamphlet that urged Briana to come, his words were infused with the same magic. She would have been compelled to follow those words.

Pulling back the man in the suit waited to see what Briana was going to do.

Briana went to bed that night and found the first time since youth that she got a good night of sleep without the nightmares.

Briana rose early on Sunday and honestly felt like she received the best two nights of sleep ever. Since it was a promising day Briana wore a pale rose sundress, matching rose undies and bra with tan sandals..

The bus ride to the church was short and already Briana was apprehensive and tempted to return home. It was hard to venture into strange places, even a church.

The throng of people mingling about was refreshing but Briana shied from the hugs and barely touched hands offered in friendship . The one she got was from a handsome gentleman she perceived as the minister of the church.

"I didn't bring anything for a pot luck, pastor." Briana replied quickly not waiting to be reassured that food was a requirement to stay.

Words echoed within her head as the magic took shape and reflecting an ember in her light blue eyes. "I can stay a little while."

The service was standard and quickly dismissed to enjoy the dinner waiting downstairs. Once.more Briana is nervous and begins to leave when the man that hugged her reappears beside her at the doorway.
