Desperation (closed)

He wasn't quite sure how to reply to the crush comment so he went with the truth.

"I think it is more than a little bit of a crush," he smiled at her, "I have been crushing on you since the first time I saw you. I tried not to make it obvious but well you caught my eye from that first time I helped you held the door open for you, when you had all the shopping bags"

He grinned, " and now I am holding open another door for you and admitting to that crush."

He put her bag behind her seat and moved around to the drivers door.

Sitting down he looked forward, "in the interest of full disclosure when I saw you move in with Chasity, I thought you might also be a call girl."

Tara raised an eyebrow as he admitted that he had a crush. He had been crushing on her since the first day that he had seen her. She remembered the day after she had moved into Chasity's apartment. She had sent her out to get a few things that they would need to make the apartment more comfortable and she had been in a rush to get back. Steve had been there, holding the door open for her as she squeezed through with a load of shopping bags.

"Well, honestly, Chasity's been encouraging me to do it." Tara said as he helped her into the car and then slipped in himself. "I don't know. The whole thing seems kind of weird. She swears that I could be a very wealthy woman in a couple of weeks."

"Oh," he was taken aback by her admission, "would you really consider it. I mean you certainly have the look to attract attention," he looked over at her, not sure of how to respond. "I mean I certainly would pay for your time,"

The thought of her perhaps being available in a sense began to have an affect on him, and he felt his manhood stir.

"I know you don't want handouts. You all but said so before," he placed a hand on her leg before he even realized it. "But I would gladly pay for your time, you know dinner or something...not sex...not that I don't think you are sexy...I just don't want to presume...but I guess I am presuming you would want to do even that."

"I haven't considered it seriously. It would be nice to have some extra money, but that's a lot for some cash on the side." Tara said, glancing over at him as he admitted that he could help her out. "Steve, you don't have to pay anything for me to spend time with you. Honestly. I'm not in this because I know that you're a millionaire."

"I know," he pulled his hand away from her leg, realizing it was still resting on her thigh, "it's just that I want to share my good fortune with you."

He smiled at her, "I mean I have been quite generous lately. But you are so pretty, maybe it is just a way of flirting."

He started the engine, "I have spoken at length about this with Chasity. You know discussing her occupation." Reversing the car he continued matter of factly, "she says she enjoys what she does, well paid, good sex mostly and she can be a bit more adventurous."

The car pulled off, "I am just saying, if you every decide to do it, I would like to be your first client. I have already put my foot in it so no need to try be coy."

"So, you do want to have sex with me." Tara said, giving him a coy smile. "Damn, Steve. Normally a guy buys me dinner before he tells me that."

He wasn't a bad looking guy, but she wasn't so sure about the entire thing. Was their friendship moving too quickly? Was it weird that he wanted to pay for things that she couldn't afford after only having known her briefly? It was just all things that she couldn't really wrap her mind around.

"Chasity is a different kind of girl, that's for sure." She said as he turned his car into the street, heading towards the pizza place.

He smiled, "I don't think you have met a man who doesn't want to have sex with you." Concentrating on the road he continued, "but I guess I did play my cards a little early. I am a bit of a gambler, nothing too serious, and maybe not always successful," he grinned at her, "but at least you can give me credit for honesty."

He returned his attention forward, waiting for the light to change.

"Of course I would love to take you on a date....dates....having a beautiful woman like you at my side, would be most pleasant. And if we ended up in a more intimate situation, of course I would not say no."

The light changed and he pulled off smoothly, "as to you and Chasity, you are very different. Boy does that woman enjoy teasing about sex."

"A little too much, sometimes." Tara commented as he talked about Chasity teasing about sex all the time. "You should be there when she goes out bar hopping and you wake up the next morning to some random dude standing naked in the living room. That's happened a few times, but if she's paying the bills, how can I tell her to stop?"

"As far as dating me goes...I guess. I don't have a lot of spare money, so we'd have to do something cheap." Tara said, always game to go out and meet new people and do new things.

"Well if you ever want a place to crash, I do have a spare room that is always made up." He turned to her with a slight smile, "and I promise I am usually at least partially dressed in the morning."

They were nearing the palour where she worked so he decided to push forward with a little more urgency.

"Look two things. One I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to dating, so I would never make you pay, or share the bill, or the like. Even before my good fortune that was the way I felt."

He parked the car a few blocks from her place of work, "that doesn't mean I would make you feel uncomfortable by taking you to super expensive places, and making you feel obligated to offer something in return. Just as I wouldn't feel offended if you decided to use my obvious attraction to you, to your advantage. Either way I am getting the company of an attractive woman and someone i find quite charming."

He looked at her earnestly, "so do you want to use this to your advantage and have me drop you at your work, or would you prefer to keep our dating a secret for now. Chasity once said she would charge me two hundred to go to a work function with me, another two if I wanted a blow job afterwards. I would just as well help you out and pay you that to just go on a date with me, or nothing if you felt uncomfortable about it.

Tara stared at Steve for a long moment, trying to figure out just what he was wanting. They had gone from near strangers to talking about going on a date in just a few brief moments. It was enough to make her head spin. He was older than her, but he was handsome. Put aside the money that he most definitely had and wanted to spend, she found herself liking him more and more.

"You seem to think that we're dating." Tara said with a shrug of her shoulders as he mentioned that Chasity had offered her services to him for cash. "You don't have to pay me anything, Steve. I'm not going to demand money for a date or a blow job or a lay or anything. If you want a date with me, all you have to do is ask properly."

Steve laughed sheepishly at her rebuttal, "so I will get a blow for free," he said to cover his awkward previous statements.

He didn't really give her a chance to reply, with further comments before pulling the car out again and continuing to her work.

"I tell you what, let me drop you at work and get some pizzas for the youth center." He turned to her, "I may spend some time there, giving some coaching advice." He smiled, "but afterwards I will come by your work and pick you up, then we will go on a proper date. Anything you want."

"Well, I guess a free blow job all depends on how good dinner is." Tara said as he explained that he would take some pizzas to the youth center and then come back and pick her up. "I'm not going on a date with anyone dressed like this. I'll need to go back home before we go out, I guess."

Steve seemed nervous about the entire situation. It was awkward, yes, but nothing that should have made him that nervous.

She seemed to be taking it as if it was just another guy who asked her out. Maybe she didn't find their open talk or innuendo disconcerting. Her attitude helped him relax a little.

"Oh I am sure I can find a place that has food well worth a good blow," he grinned, "will be a bit embarrassing if it tastes shit though....not the blow I mean the food."

He chuckled, not nervously this time, but rather at his own joke.

"As to clothing, I am sure we can find a late night boutique that will have something for you. Or I can ask Chasity to select your best evening wear for you."

"Oh, I'm sure she'd be happy to oblige. No, i've got things at home that I can just grab and change in to when my shift is over with. I'm not going to let you buy me things just for a date." Tara tried to insist as Steve planned out their evening together. "Besides, you don't want me smelling of a pizza place while we're out. I'll have to grab a shower too."

"I guess that makes sense. Though the pizza perfume may make you even more desirable."

He stopped the car outside the pizza restaurant, "what time does your shift end. I can take you home after and we can see where the evening leads us."

"I guess I could use the chance to make myself a bit more desirable as well, I mean I don't want to have to pay for dinner and a blow," he winked at her then felt a little silly for doing so.

"Probably around 9. If they don't make me stay longer, but screw it. I have plans now." Tara said, looking over Steven. "And I just might let you keep me out past midnight if you promise me a good time."

She pulled the handle of the door and grabbed her bag off the floor and slung it over her shoulder. "I'll see you tonight."

"Yeah, definitely at nine on the dot," he smiled at her, "and I will try my best to show you a good time."

He watched her as she walked away, admiring the way her body swayed. She was a gorgeous woman, one that he definitely found appealing. Even more appealing he found was wondering what she would look like outside of her work clothes.

That made him smile even more as he considered the implications of how she dressed for their date. He waited a few minutes to let her settle in before entering the parlor and buying the pizzas for the youth center.

After leaving a generous tip for the waiter staff and chefs he spent a few hours at the center, all the while making arrangements for their date.

Tara was exhausted by the end of her shift. She smelled like pizza, she felt grease from the cheese all over her skin, and she wanted to go home for a glass of wine, a shower, and a long nap. However, as she stepped outside the restaurant, she paused when she saw Steven's car. She cursed under her breath, having completely forgot about the date.

Walking towards the car, she was prepared to tell him that she wasn't feeling up to it that evening.

Seeing her approach he got out the car and moved around to open the passenger door for her.

"Princess your chariot awaits." It sounded better in his head, than when he actually verbalized it.

"I have managed to organize us a late night meal, a small one mind you at an exclusive restaurant," he offered a hand to help her into the car. "The owner remembered me from my playing days."

He gave her a broad smile, "and then we will go dancing at a popular club I heard about. It has been many years since I have been inside such a place, but I think it may be fun, especially with such a beautiful woman on my arm."

Tara suddenly felt bad that she was about to try and bail on Steve as he told her that he had made plans for the both of them. She let out a long sigh as she settled into the front seat and waited for him to get behind the wheel.

"Maybe some coffee from Starbucks first? I could use some caffeine." Tara said, glancing over at Steve. "And then a shower and a change of clothing."

He could sense she was not really in the mood for an evening out. He could understand that, although it was not too late, she would have had an exhausting few hours already.

"Look, no plans are ever set in stone, so let's just see how it goes." He started the car, "but I have a better suggestion than Starbucks."

He left the thought standing while he got the car on the move.

"How about we go back to the apartment and you take that shower, as I am sure you want to relax a little, and I will make you some coffe, I have a selection of imported and local blends. If our date ends up ending there, that is fine, I really didn't consider you may be exhausted after hours on your feet."

"No, you took the time to make plans and I'm going to make sure that we go through with those plans." Tara said, looking over at Steven as he promised to make her some coffee and let her shower. "I just need some time to gather myself. I hate that fucking job with a passion and being surrounded with screaming children all the time doesn't help matters."

He looked at her with a deep sincerity, "then quit it. The pizza wasn't bad, but the environment didn't look that enjoyable, and I am sure you don't get much in the way of tips from the clientele."

He placed his hand on her leg to stop her from replying, "look I know you need the money, but why don't you rather come work for me."

"We literally just met each other. You're trying to get into my pants. I don't think that's the best way to start a business relationship." Tara said dryly as she looked over at Steven. "Maybe in a few months we can talk about it, but right now I'm not so sure it's a good idea."
