God I hate it when you get some butcher who doesn't know how to do his/her job. I'm glad you're getting better then, now knowing that it was more serious than a little virus.

It wasn't them. It's me. I have deep thin veins that move. It's been a problem all of my life. One nurse couldn't find a vein and wouldn't even try with a needle. She went to get the head nurse who couldn't find one so she called for a head nurse from another floor. Meantime they had to cancel a test I was to take......

I won't try to hug you, but you should know I'm fighting the impulse. I really am sorry that had to happen to you. Plainly speaking, it sucks. I'm glad things got straightened out, though, because I really would miss you around this place.

And here you were worried about me???? Now I'm really worried about you! I can see by your postings with Cate on HT Cafe that you are feeling spunky (which is always a good thing!).

I just like messing with Cate......she's such a good target. You're right, my spunk is still in place.

Why are you looking for Valentine's cards so soon? I thought we'd just skip Cupid and move right on to Peter Rabbit .

I'm not looking for V-Day cards. I just figured since Christmas stuff was out before Halloween, that it must be time to sell us on the next money-making holiday. Perhaps you're right, Easter = more money.

Personally I'm tired of Hallmark and their super holidays.

As a kid we'd go downtown the Saturday after Thanksgiving to see the store windows and the decorations inside. Christmas decorations were never seen before then. Halloween decorations were in the dime stores and maybe a display of gourds, Indian corn and pumpkins in the grocers. Easter was all about a new spring dress for church and coloring eggs. I guess I've just done got old!
 
I'm right there with you DGO. I'm 45 and I remember when Christmas merchandise didn't come out until after Thanksgiving. Now it's all about the all mighty dollar and I DETEST it. It's hard, and will probably be impossible next year unless I plan it just right and stock up, but I won't go in stores that have their Christmas stuff out before Thanksgiving. It's my own little way of protesting.

We're together on that one. It would be nice if there was a national effort to stop all this crap.
