Sigh, now I'm longing to see Shelly Winters take that final swim in the Posieden Adventure.

Not because of anything James Cameron did, the egomaniacal twit. But because the ship really did sink, and people really did drown. Thank God for the chase scene through the sinking ship while the lifeboats were leaving. I was able to walk out with a smile.

That's what got me too. Not the story the movie was trying to tell, but the real story.

The bit with the man putting his daughter and wife on a life boat... It's clear by this point that are no where near enough life boats for everyone. The little girl says something like, "Aren't you coming Daddy?" and he answers, "I'll be along soon, they have a special boat for the daddies." I can't even imagine it...
