I wrote a post for the two male slaves last night, then -- half asleep -- accidentally closed the window before I posted it.

I have to go to work, and it's going to be a busy day, so I probably won't post for at least the next 10 hours. If the two of you want to trade some posts today (and maybe even tomorrow), my characters have nothing too important to say until THEIR sunrise arrives.

FYI to you both:

I am changing the name of the older male slave from William -- which simply doesn't fit him -- to Fadi.

I don't think either of you have actually used the name William in your posts, so you won't have to change any posts. After I have made my own changes, I will do a search for the name to see if it exists anywhere.

Concerning the interactions between the two male slaves and the women, I have some ideas that could eventually play out. I would be interested in whether either of you like these ideas and/or have ideas of your own:

• Phee, the younger slave, is loyal to whomever his master is. He will never harm Brett, and he will forever do what his master tells him to do, unless Brett does something reprehensible. That being said, I would be interested in him beginning a secret affair with either Pritti or Saria or even a third female, who could be introduced weeks into the story after a visit by King Wanatab's caravan, assuming that one of you wants to write another character.
• Fadi -- formerly William -- had covert plans to avenge what he considers the "violation of his people" by Westerners by eventually killing Brett (which, obviously won't happen, as Brett is a central character). In the mean time, though, he would be interested in having a relationship with either or both of Pritti and Saria ... and he's not above forcing himself on one of them either, in case one of you has an interest in writing a rape scene.

On another topic, because I am a male writing Helen, I'd be interested in her teaching Saria what pleasure is all about, if Elegant is interested in such a scene; just as I am interested in her becoming "too close" to Pritti if that's something that interests Karen.

Just some ideas.

I'm certainly interested in exploring some lesbian aspects of the storyline, perhaps Helen instructing Saria quietly while Pritti sleeps. Of course she's actually woken and covertly watching. Something like that.

I'm interested in a coercion scene, but not rape.

Any thoughts on where you want to take this? I was planning to invite Saria to sleep with me (due to the cold) and one thing lead to another. But if we're planning on Helen introducing her to sex then perhaps not?

I'm interested in a coercion scene, but not rape.

That can be done. I have an idea there, too, that would allow us to begin writing it now, despite the fact that it would not occur for a while:

• We determine when we think this might happen: a week out, a month out...
• We begin a separate thread and begin writing it.
• Then, when that starting time arrives in the main story time line, we add a link into the main thread to allow others to read what we have already written, as well as follow along until the scene ends.
• This way we can both begin to write it now, despite it not having actually happened yet; AND not interrupt the flow of the time line in the main thread.
• Make sense?

I just came up with another wild thought, too, in case either of you are interested in temporarily writing Helen: a separate flash back thread to when she was still a free woman and was taken hostage.

• It would cover several months, from her arriving at the Coastal City with her husband, a diplomat; to her getting caught up in the conflict between the Reetu and the West; to her being captured, spirited off, raped/coerced, and sold into King Wanatab's harem.
• And it would end with her on the river bank the day she was sold to Brett.
• You would not have to continue writing her in the main story. I need to keep a female character, so I think I'll keep her long term.

Hm, well if you want one thing to lead to another I'm sure we can make that work, although Saria is pretty mistrustful of others and afraid of sex for now, so Pritti would have a hard time not scaring her off I think. Either way I'm fine with the idea of Saria learning from and/or developing a relationship with the other women.

In terms of rape or coercion content, I'm certainly a fan of sex being rough, and I think playing around with consent can add some interesting dynamics to characters' relationships. Really direct rape, well, hmm. I think it can definitely be a dramatic plot point but we would have to really think about how where to take the story without minimizing the psychological effects.
