Do you ever think about what we do?

I think the name "Emily" demands something more... ephemeral.

A flutter of Emilies.

A gloria of Emilies.

A giggle of Emilies.

or my personal favourite:

A murder of Emilies.

Uh... uh... an emesis of Emiles?

(Ducking and running, very fast!)

how much thought do you give to the enjoyment of your reader, intellectually as well as physically, whilst creating your stories?
100%
It's all for my readers, every word. I research my stories as well as I possibly can and I do get bogged down in sex scenes because they rarely advance the narrative. I wrote a story about a blind man and the response was amazing. I was thanked over and over for getting it right - finally a sighted author who is treating a blind man as a man. I wrote a story about a veteran with PSTD and my brothers and sisters came out and shared their stories with me. I wrote an essay on the VA and other government agencies covering up veteran suicide and my brothers and sisters were shocked at what is happening to their friends.

I've talked with people who can fire out their stories like a word mill, and I'm jealous of their ability, but for me I have to take it word for word researching everything I can because I want my readers to feel like they're there with my MC

So Firefly fan-fic idea, which has me have sex with each of the crew individually and then an orgy at the end. What’s the order? Kaylee first obviously, but then who (how old is River meant to be?).

She's 17 in Firefly. Bad Em. Wicked Em.

(She's supposedly 19 in Serenity)

So it’s obviously set in Serenity. At the beginning so I still get to play with Wash 😬.

Actually I want a Wash / Zoe threesome. Would that count as LW?

Wash: I am a leaf on the wind.
Em: That's not the wind.
Wash: It's not a leaf either.
Zoe: I can hurt both of you.

far, far, far too many years of bad fanfiction. It's a curse.
Never tried. All my creative writing is here.

I did mention a Buffy / Faith / Emily threesome story idea. Not sure if Mr Pointy would feature.

We spend hours of our time hunched over a pad and paper, old computer or laptop, crafting narratives laced with experience, fantasies or just plain made-up scenarios to titillate and turn-on people we will never meet or encounter, OR, even if we do encounter them, wouldn't know them from Adam.

It's something that boggles my mind when I pay heed to it, but when I'm in the middle of a story, writing character arcs, plot devices and even good old fashion sex scenes it's the last thing I'm thinking about. All I'm thinking about then is how I can progress the story to a logical and satisfying conclusion, and judging by the nice comments (and emails) I've got now and then it's something my readers seem to appreciate as well.

So, before I went off on my usual plot-based tangent (as I do) how much thought do you give to the enjoyment of your reader, intellectually as well as physically, whilst creating your stories?
My late wife and I got together in our early 50's. Being mature with no kids at home, we enjoyed a tremendous amount of sexual freedom. We talked, in depth about fantasies, mostly mine because she claimed to not have any.
The stories I have posted on Lit have some truth and some fantasy based on our talks. One story is 100% true and the others have fact and fantasy to varying degrees
I wrote for us. She read every story before I posted it and would respond with, "I can see us doing this" or "we would get in so much trouble if we tried this."
I appreciate the responses I receive and some really get into my stories. I love the fact that others are entertained and even turned on by my writings. I have often thought about people I know reading my stories, never knowing I wrote them.
I just enjoy relating what is on my mind.

Mmmmmmm. Faith.

Phoof! That Eliza. Ay Carumba. I have exceedingly few celebrity-lusts but she is one of the three.

That’s a great take on it and so nice you get to share it with your other half.

Thanks for a different spin on things.
