Retired Army Master Sgt. Mark Allen died on Saturday, 10 years after he was shot while looking for a missing soldier in Afghanistan back in 2009. He was 46.
Allen was unable to walk or speak since being shot in the head by a sniper in July 2009 during his attempted search for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who walked off his base in Afghanistan and was imprisoned by the Taliban for five years.

I'm still having a hard time believing Mr. Bergdahl isn't spending his time in Fort Leavenworth.

Very sad and yet it barely made any paper or news cast.

Sadly his sacrifice was forgotten by all but his family and close friends.

You can thank Obama for that trial

I think most thinking people saw how Obama's religious loyalty played into all of that.

What I remember most, as this was going down, was reading the story of some administration bigshot near the front lines in Afghanistan announcing to the troops the deal to get Bergdahl back, and he was absolutely baffled by the lack of enthusiasm.
And we only released five terrorists to get this guy back. What a deal!
