"Doctor Who: Powers of Ten" (OOC)

Oh! I hots a question for ya Chas.

How much does my guy know about "The Doctor"?

About as much as Liz Ten knew in "The Beast Below."

He's a legend. Officially, he's an enemy of The Crown. There's plenty as says he's a hero and a saviour, but he's essentially unreliable and may or may not bring about as much destruction as he prevents. (Like the "Batman causes The Joker" argument.)

Torchwood was formed to fight the same threats The Doctor fights, and to turn the powers and technologies of those threats against other threats. Essentially, The Doctor is explicitly included in those edicts. (Torchwood One under Yvonne Hartman held Ten at gunpoint and attempted to commandeer The TARDIS.)

The Wolf in Giles' blood, on the other hand, may or may not contain sufficient genetic/ancestral memory to remember that The Doctor took out The Host all those centuries ago, and may react primally, depending on how much your dude's gene-therapy keeps that stuff under control.

I'm flexible on whether His Majesty regards The Doctor as a menace or a blessing.

I have been giving it some thought. Qhat you just told me helps me focus those thoughts tremendously. i know what I will do now.

Bendigedig.

If things go well Friday, I should have time to keep my promise to UM and update "Avatar." And then, in the manner of a mad scientist, I will throw... THE SWITCH!

MUAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

:: ahem ::

(Oh, man, I have supporting cast to develop, yikes!)

(Abraxas, I would strongly recommend re-watching that bit in "The Beast Below" where Liz Ten reveals she knows of The Doc. Choice anecdotes, name-dropping, although I'd suggest that perhaps mentioning the matter of Liz One's virginity be mitigated by saying that Liz One simply has a bone to pick with The Doctor, because as far as Ten knows that hasn't happened yet. It might happen differently now, in any case, Infinite Temporal Flux.

I especially enjoy the line "the hair of an idiot.")
