Does Anyone Think This Is Odd?

Yayyy, someone finally started a thread about me!

I do not mind that Munky started this thread and do not consider it "calling me out," nor do I feel that he is passing judgment on me.

Despite the fact that much of what I say on Lit is to be taken, as Shaun said, with a big grain of salt, I do actually sell my dirty panties (among other things) on an adult auction site.

I intend to continue doing so when I am "gainfully" employed. I won't have as much time to commit to it, obviously, but I imagine it will be worth continuing on a smaller scale for some extra spending money.

I consider what I do to be running my own small (very small) internet business, and with that come the rewards and challenges of owning any small internet business. It is absolutely wonderful being able to make my own work schedule, take what I do in any direction I choose, things like that. The downside is that a lot of the customers are annoying (though, I do annoy pretty easily).

There are a number of sellers who are able to earn a legitimately good (career) income through the site, though those are typically the ones who do a majority of their work in the various dimensions of the "Slave Mistress" field, but in my experience, those customers are, on the whole, much too high-maintenance (as in, they expect you to email back and forth with them all day, every day). I think I could make a career of it if it interested me more, or if I had more patience.

In any case, I take what I do seriously (well, not so seriously that I don't have my trademark sense of humor about it, but I put a lot of thought into it), and while it certainly isn't the loftiest means of an income, I actually AM working hard for my money, earning it honestly, and doing it on my own terms.

it may be a good biz opp for you. I could envision a listing for "half smoked Shaun cigars". Stick one of those puppies up Monica Lewinsky and the bidders would go wild.

I'm not even joking, the right seller could sell her (or her man's) half-smoked cigars, though auctions for tobacco products are prohibited.

Makes me wonder if some of my boy crushers would want some of the clothing items that has my cum dried on them?

At any given time, there are typically a couple auctions up by men, but I've only seen one or two actually sell in the year I've been using the site. Women can sell their man's things easier, as the general tone of the site is very femme-dommy.

I don't know much about it, but adult auctions of various fetish material/objects/services have actually been around for quite some time.
People have all sorts of desires, fantasies, and perversions that most people have never heard about. For some people, auctions sites like these are an important outlet for their sexuality, and for others, it may be the only one. There is a market for fetish objects, just not widely available ones. The internet has helped.

The sellers themselves are very much appreciated by the buyers for helping fulfill their needs. The sellers do this as a source of income and sometimes more, and it's work like anything else. It's really no different than any other consumer business. This one just happens to cater to a certain niche that goes very unnoticed.

Don't judge, live and let be.

This. Exactly.

I would say that about half the buyers act appreciatively, and that's always nice. The other half don't show any signs of appreciation.

Elija, you have been very gracious and informative on this thread. Wasn't my intention (as you have acknowledged) to "call you out". It's just a bit of commerce I wasn't aware of.

Now you have me pondering if there's a way to market some of my luxurious auburn fur.

pretty boring, confusing, and depressing in there

Hey, I had several guys pay me $15 each just to read this one-page story I wrote about what I would do with their "pathetic excuse for a penis" if given the chance, so you never know!

I firmly believe that one can sell literally ANYTHING if one markets it properly :)

There's a store in a mall I used to go to downstate that sells nothing but sweaters and rugs and mittens and shit made out of alpaca wool.

I have a friend who does this. She's blonde and stacked, the Japanese guys cant get enough.

I;ve often wondered if somwhere like Amazon, where you can publush your own work for Kindle would accept some very naughty writing

There are several companies that will self publish and market on Amazon. Costs a few bucks, but you get to see you name in print.

Ask Thandi, she's read one of my (unpublished) novels.

Yes, I've seen those too.

Hi, Munk.
