Wow, how time flies. Two years ago today I posted here how I lost my partner, I was ghosted. Well, no new partner and I’ve been looking. Male, 50s - I agree! I have had some amazing conversations with women from Lit! But also it is so important to find that someone that you find you have a connection with. I’ve found the best scenario is when we text initially, and then if we feel we might be compatible, we agree to a voice chat, with no expectations. That way if it still isn’t clicking, we can part ways with no hard feelings. And if it does move forward, there was no pressure. It developed organically.

Yes .. I do miss Yahoo chat in that I thought that the User Interface was well designed, and I think it struck the right balance of allowing you to participate with voice if you wanted to, or just to listen to the room. I kind of wish we had something similar here -- I think it would prove to be popular .. maybe too popular.

Skype is more for one-on-one chats in my opinion.

I remember Yahoo Chat as well. I never ventured into any of the voice chat rooms, preferring to stick to text chat. However, I did get to meet a few awesome ladies that were up for a fun phone fling. I do miss phone sex, would love to find a woman willing to call!

Besides Skype and Wickr, the best and safest option I've found is using my Free Google voice number. I've used the number for year's for phone sex and to give out to anyone I really didn't want tracking me down. I don't know if they still give free numbers but there are several other similar apps and services out there.

Even without phone, you can use Skype or Hangouts for voice. Both are free also. A few I've blocked who refused to do that. Must be sausages!
