Haleigh glanced around the college library, a quiet giggle escaping her. She was old enough to be the mother to all but two people in here! What had she been thinking, to go back to college after so many years. She hated the feeling of uncertainty that gripped her stomach, the taste of fear in her mouth. Glancing down at the English textbook in front of her, she tried again to focus on the chapter she was suppose to be studying. At least her classes were in subjects that interested her, English and Psychology.

Her husband was at home with their two children. The library offered peace and quiet, hard commodities to come by at her house. The kids were getting big but they still demanded a lot of attention. Especially when it was time to do homework. She had always been the one there to help them with whatever they needed. Her husband, Derrick, understood her desire to go back to college. She had been a housewife for over ten years and lacked the necessary skills to get back into the job market. So when she finally decided to go for it he fully supported her and said he would help out wherever needed. He was a wonderful husband in every aspect, except the bedroom. They had to have the most boring sex life of anyone on the planet!

Haleigh looked around at all the young college kids again. It wouldn’t be long before her girls were old enough to attend school here. Her eyes were drawn to a pair of dark brown eyes that were staring right at her. She raised her brows slightly, then blushed and glanced down. Why in the world would such an attractive young guy be staring at her! She glanced up through her lashes, keeping her head lowered, sure that his attention would be directed at one of the hot young girls by now. But no! He was still staring right at her! He flashed her a sexy grin. She blushed again and quickly lowered her eyes. Young guys never looked at her like that! She was just a frumpy old mom, with two half grown daughters. She tried again to focus on the words in Chapter 3. She had class in an hour and they were suppose to have a quiz on the first three chapters. It was only the second class. Haleigh had taken some college classes before she started having kids and didn’t recall the pace being quite this rapid.

Tommy had first noticed the older blonde woman in his Monday morning English class. She stuck out like a sore thumb, of course, amidst all the nineteen to twenty-something kids that made up the rest of the population. But there was just something about her, that he couldn't quite put his finger on, and he found himself repeatedly glancing in her direction. He didn't think she noticed, though.

And so it was a happy coincidence when, later that day, he found the same woman in his psychology class. Again, she didn't seem to notice him; indeed, she seemed a bit overwhelmed by the flood of information coming at her, expectations, assignments, and everything.

Tommy knew he stood out a bit too; at twenty-four, he was older than the average college student. Like her (he assumed) he was going back to school to finish his education. But, he was a bit closer to the student demographic.

Their next day of classes was Wednesday; Tommy had gotten himself some coffee and headed to the library to read over the assigned chapters one last time before class. He was thrilled to see the blonde woman there, although she was proving to be quite the distraction... he couldn't stop looking at her! This time she caught him, though she quickly looked away, blushing. He smirked. He had a feeling he could have a lot of fun with her...

Wednesday and time for another class. Haleigh sighed. She was really enjoying the whole college experience but felt so out of place! She decided to look through her closet and see if she didn’t own some clothing that would look a little less “Mom” like. She found a pair of jeans that were a few years old, worn, faded, and tight. She had a great ass, all the guys she had ever dated had told her that, nice and rounded. She spied a spaghetti strap shirt in the very back that she hadn’t worn in forever. She had felt like it was too young of a style for her. But perhaps wearing it would help her to fit in better.

Walking into the kitchen Haleigh kissed her husband on the lips and told the girls to hurry or they would be late for school. “Wow, Mom. You look great!” Amanda said. Haleigh blushed, looking at her husband. But he was busy reading the paper and didn’t even seem to notice the difference in her clothing. Haleigh shook her head. It was so sad how they didn’t ever connect anymore. It was like they were just roommates, living in the same house but no longer close, like they had once been.

Arriving at college she quickly walked to class, hating to be late for anything. She glanced down at her notes for the test on Chapters one through three they were having that morning. She felt pretty confident that she knew the material but was struggling with one topic. She repeated the facts over and over in her head, hoping they would stick. Head still down as she passed through the doorway, Haleigh took a quick step backwards when she bumped into someone. She quickly looked up, an apology on her lips. But her breath caught and held when those same brown eyes and sexy smile from the library looked back at her. She blushed and said, “I’m so sorry. I wasn’t watching where I was going!” Looking down she finished, “I’m having a hard time with this one section of chapter three.” Flustered she looked back up, those warm brown eyes staring directly into hers, that little quirky, sexy grin floating on his lips.
