Yep. Those are beans. I suppose they are the best British beans I’ve ever had as they exactly matched my expectations. Can you really expect more from a humble bean than to match expectations?

Which I had not had the chance to try before. You can buy it in the states, but I would feel wasteful buying a whole jar of it if I didn’t like it. So this was the perfect chance for a small dose.

It is … interesting. I can see why if you had grown up eating it, you would like it. It is rather … marmite-ish and I really can’t describe it any other way.
