Downstairs (closed)

The other two guys in the basement broke out into laughter as she said that. "Thanks..." Andrew said "Though I am very helpful and don't move too quickly I guess. I'm built more to prevent people from moving..."

"Have fun Baymax" Scott shouts up after them as they head up to the kitchen and for a moment Andrew wants to turn and confront him but decides to let it slide.

"Ah, don't listen to them," Katelyn said, leading Andrew to the kitchen.

"Okay," Katelyn continued, as she opened up the refrigerator door, "I don't want you to freak out, but I'm going to introduce you to tofu bacon."

"isn't the stuff made from soy?" Andrew says making a face "Although your wraps weren't half bad...does it taste better than turkey bacon because that stuff...is clearly not bacon." He reaches over and around Katelyn to pull out what he assumed was the tofu bacon, the lettuce, and the tomatoes and brought them over to the counter. He then started to search for the bread "Where do you guys keep your bread?"

Katelyn just couldn't get over how big Andrew was, and the ease he could just reach over and around her.

"For you, big guy, we're going multigrain," she laughed. She ducked under his arm and went to two bread bins on the counter next to each other. She pulled out a loaf of bread with an odd log on it. "Bread made from heirloom grains. It'll help you get ride of what little on you isn't muscle," she said with a smile.

She then pointed to a jar in the shelf of the open refrigeraor door. In an affected posh voice, she asked, "Pardon me, sir, but could you pass the Gray Poupon?"

"Why certainly" He said and gave her a mock bow before going to the refrigerator and grabbing the mustard off the door. He also snagged a beer while he was in there. He got a devilish grin on his face as he turned to face Katelyn with both items in his hands. He set the mustard down next to her and took the bottle of beer and flipped the cap off of it with his thumb, catching it with his other hand before it hit the floor.

"Took me years to perfect that" he said with a chuckle.

"I can see how that talent will come into play in the real world," Katelyn laughed. Normally Katelyn would have been shy, being alone with a guy, but Andrew was such an easy going guy, especially for someone his size.

"One beer limit for you, big guy," she continued. "That is, if we're going to keep this a healthy weekend. Gotta keep your coach happy."

"Hmm not the reaction I was counting on" he said as he started to drink his beer. "So do you cook tofu bacon? If you do I can start working on that if you want."

"See that bowl on the bottom shelf?" Katelyn said. "That's where the tofu bacon strips have been marinating. Fry it up over low heat, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. You take care of that, I'll get everything else assembled!"

Andrew took the bowl off the bottom shelf, downed the beer he had and grabbed another one to see if she would notice, and then started to fry up the bacon. "What do you want me to do with the extra marinade?"

"Goes in the mulch bin," she answered. "So just put it back in the fridge, along with that second beer you tried to sneak past me," she added with a laugh. Normally Katelyn would have felt uncomfortable being along with someone like Andrew, even in an innocent setting like her parents' kitchen. But something about his personality was putting her at ease.

"I only put this back if you come down and play cards with the guys and I" he says and then threatens to pop the top on it "Otherwise I down it right now"

"You'll only be hurting yourself," Katelyn replied with a faux pout, then found herself answering, "Okay, I guess I can play a couple of rounds of hearts or spades or something."
