Drag Strip/Tracks - USA

Several years back...if you wanted to show you had the hottest/fastest car you took it to one of three places.


Decatur Rd or Roosevelt Blvd in Northeast Philly.

or

for pure drag stripping you went to Atco Speedway in South Jersey.

Have any infamous drag areas in your neck of the woods? Kitten Eyes, wasn't there a strip in Maryland?

We have one called Shuffletown, but I don't know how infamous it is....

well...

For unoffical drag strips I-295 near richmond is pretty big these days. A few people i know street race there for big money. Lets see some other places i know of in VA. There is supposed to be an indoor dragstrip in Blacksburg. It was the first of its kind, but i have not seen or been to it yet. Richmond dragway is pretty big but crappy. It has a very poor road surface and not alot of braking room at the end of the track. Thats all i can think of right now.

Atco! I can't believe it. lol

I used to go all the time in highschool '91-'92. A guy I dated had a Monte Carlo SS that he used to race there. It was great but I haven't been there in years.
