Dragonball Recall

Suddenly, the color returned to Goten's skin and his wounds healed over. His eyes shot open and he sat up, coughing.

He slowly looked up to see his brother and Pan beside him.

"Thanks bro" he said as he smirked, and taking his hand, got up to his feet.

He heard Pan's question and looked at her.

"Yea, that's what happened with dad, his hair grew really long. Why?"

Gohan frowned a bit. "Yes, Pan-chan, but it does that for any level that's beyond Super Saiyan." "When me, Dad, or Vegeta goes Super Saiyan 2, our hair gets longer, and spikier." "Super Saiyan 3 also includes a radical physical change...the actual bone structure shifts and changes dramatically, mostly in the face."

The experienced warrior looked again to the fighter's area. "Listen, I will keep the crowd safe." "Just focus on your enemies." "If things go badly, I want you to take Grandma, Mom, and Bra to the Lookout, Pan-chan." "You too, Goten." "If they want a fight beyond the tournament, I'll give it to them long enough for you to escape there." "I want both of you to promise me that you will go...and Trunks too once he gets over here."

He rose into the air about ten feet. "Let me show you what I mean about Super Saiayn 2...." Gohen closed his eyes a moment, then they snapped open as he began to power up. The stands began to tremble as Gohan's skyrocketing power sent vibrations through the air. A pulsating aura of power shot up around him, a white-blue color. It remained so for a moment only, as Goahn's hair turned from black to golden yellow, his eyes shifting to green, as the aura around him burst larger and into the same yelloe as his hair.

"This is me at Super Saiyan..." He began to growl, then threw back his head and let out a loud yell. "rrrrrrrrrrRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" The shaking became greater, the entire stadium now effected, bottles bursting and loose tiles on the ring lifting into the air. There were cries and shouts as people clutched the rails. The golden light intensified around Gohan until it was too bright to look directly at. Then it faded. Gohan had gained noticable muscle mass, his clothes now somewhat tight on his wirey frame. His hair was longer also, and it seemed as though there were more golden spikes than there had been before. Threads of cobalt blue electricity rippled through the pulsing aura surrounding him. "...and this is Super Saiyan 2."

"What the hell is he doing?" Bra slammed her hands down on the railing. "I know he's pissed off, but he doesn't have to shake the damn arena apart!" The green tressed girl had been distraught when Goten had tumbled to the ground, hiding her face in her hands. When he had risen again, seemingly unhurt, she felt relieved as she never had before. He was safe...but her concern for him, well, it shouldn't be that strong. Fortunately, Gohan had proved her with distraction enough so that she didn't have to examine those emotions, and could just be mad. "Jeez...well, at least I'll get to see him kick that bitch's ass..."

"Bra!" "Langauge!" Chi Chi, hands on her hips, glared at the younger woman. "I know you mother isn't here, but that's no reason to have such a foul mouth."

Videl was just gazing raptly at her husband. "He's soooo gorgeous when he does that," she sighed. "If only there weren't such a crowd..." She had a vaguely naughty look on her eyes as she eyed Gohan.

"Videl!" Chi Chi now rounded on her daughter-in-law. "Not in front of me and Bra, please!"

Videl sighed. "I just can't help it..." With a visible effort, she looked away. "No, Bra, he won't attack them." "You don't get Gohan...he's a protector, not a fighter...I bet he's changing so that if they attack the stands again, he can deal with it." "That's just how he is."

Trunks was waiting for Silver or Bridgette to reply when he felt Goten's power surge back, stronger than before. He had wheeled about to look, when Gohan made his transformation. "What a radical power!" Even after all this time, and everything he'd encountered, he was still stunned by the power Gohan was putting out. And at how much he knew the older half-Saiyan was hiding. "Gohan...what are you doing?"

He rushed from the entrance over to the trio, aware that 18.2 was watching all this from the doorway, her face not giving a hint of her feelings away. "Goten!" "Looks like the senzu beans have doen it again, glad to see you on your feet." He shook his head, "It was a hard beat, man, but I'll get her for you."

He looked at Gohan, a bit apprehensively. He knew that Gohan had..well, a tendancy to go a little crazy when someone he cared about was hurt. "Uh, Gohan...I don't know what you're planning, but I want to fight these guys." "It may be out of order, but...I'd like you to stay out of it."

Pan nods as Goten and Gohan explain about the looks at the different levels of Super Saiyan.

"I was just curious because I saw your hair start to grow longer back there, I was too far to tell exactly how though." Pan says to Goten, then she turns as Trunks flies over to them. She listens to Trunks' request that Gohan stay out of it then smiles softly.

"Well Trunks, you're going to have to beat me first." Pan says, lauhing a bit, trying to lighten the very serious mood. She turns back to her father. "I do promise dad, that if it gets out of hand I'll get mom, grandma and the other out of here."

Trunks smiled faintly at Pan's comment. "I guess you're right, Pan...I shouldn't just assume I'll win." "You've been surprising me all day, who knows what else you've got up your sleeve." She really had...first at just how much she had grown up, then with his own feelings, and how she seemed to return them, and the fact that she was a Super Saiyan...

"I saw it too, Goten...and your power began to change too." His expressionw as one of grim pride. "I think you almost broke through to Super Saiyan 2."

Gohan put a hand on Pan's head, "Good, Pan-chan." "Thank you." He looked at Trunks at Goten. "It's possible...you're both very close to it, I've been sensing that for months." "But you need an emotional stimulus for the change, just raising your power isn't enough." 'Even wanting it isn't enough, you have to need it." He was silent a moment. "I think you all will soon...one way or another." "Pan, Trunks, get ready for you match." "I'm looking forward to it." He smiled suddenly, looking at his daughter and Trunks standing side by side. "I remember back when I first met VIdel, one of the first things that happened was her attacking me int he street...'course I was Saiyaman then, but she knew who I was." "Goten, the other fighters...if there are any who might be on our side in this, I'd like you to try talking to them."

With that, the erudite warrior floated up to take his seat next to Videl, who immediately threw herself into her husband's arms, kissing him passionatlely.

Trunks looked at Pan, "What does our match have to do with his meeting your mom?"

________________

"Well folks...I don't really know what happened there." "Other than that the man who gave us that dispaly of power, is former Tournament competitor Son Gohan." "He seems to have sat down in the stands again though...." The announcer suddenly had a bad feeling about this. Yes he was going to see some great fighting, but he had a sneaking suspicion that his beloved arena might not make it yet again. Oh well...at least it would be exciting.

"A mystery for another day, ladies and gentlemen, as we come to the semi-finals!" "All our fighters have shown skill and power, but these four have gone above and beyond!" "These are the matches that shake the heavens, that will go down in the history books!" "Who will the finalists be?" "It won't take long to find out, in just a moment, after the ring is fixed, we'll begin the first match of the third round....Pan vs. Trunks!"

Pan smiles up at Trunks again as he admits he's not sure he'll beat her. She remains silent though, until her father puts his hand on her head, she moves away and a little closer to Trunks.

"Dad! Don't do that!" Pan says, she's not sure why that got to her this time and she blushes slightly.

She grins slightly as Gohan says he knows they will all go Super Saiyan 2 soon. Pan sighs as her father gets that nostalgic face he does when he talks about the past.

"I don't know." Pan says to Trunks' question, she blushes again getting a faint idea of what her dad meant, she heads back to the waiting room.

"If you don't know...why are you blushing," Trunks said to himself as Pan walked away. He thought for a moment, then looked up at the stands where Gohan now had Videl on his lap, with Chi Chi yelling at them about decency, while Bra looked torn between the romance of the moment and wanting to tell them to get a room. he watched the scene for a moment, then he figured part of it out. "Oh." "Oh, boy." Gohan had noticed him looking too. Crap.

Trunks made his way to the ready area, noting how quickly the repair crew was sealing tiles back into place and brushing away the larger debris. He felt that same eager anticipation he had years ago, when he had fought Goten in this very arena. There was a different edge to it though...he knew it was because of his feelings for the young woman, and how they had changed in this one short day.

State of the art high speed camera were being positioned, the semi-finals and finals taped and sold each Tournament. Trunks recognized the cameras as Capsule Corp.'s latest model, designed to keep track of and accurately picture fast moving objects. His father had wanted them developed so he could watch film of his training and sparring, to see where his weak points were.

Trunks moved to stand next to Pan, watching the crew finish. The announcer was already moving back toward the ring. Not long now. "So, Pan...are you ready for this?"

Pan watches the crew absent mindedly, her mind fast-forwarding through her fantasy life with Trunks, she blushes slightly at even thinking of him that way. She is startled as Trunks stands beside her, she looks up slowly and smiles.

"Y..yeah," Pan clears her throat a little and mentally demands that she stop blushing. "Yeah, Of course I'm ready Trunks, are you?" she says with a joking smile.

Goten walked behind Trunks and Pan, now in his usual casual clothes.

"I don't know who to bet on... is it possible to put money on neither of you winning? I can picture it now, you two flying at each other, and crashing head first, and both plummeting to the ground for the knock out."

Silver

Silver watched Goten and Bridgette's fight like a hawk. Watching Bridgette win like she did was disappointing, but when Trunks and Pan started ranting his mouth, Silver knew something had to be said. "You may think what you want Trunks, but I'll fight you with myself alone. I am a true warrior, just like the Sayian race. And Pan I did not get involved in the match. That would disqualify me and I still need to have my fun with you."

Silver was slightly amazed at Gohan's power increase. "I always knew the first son of the strongest sayian would have a strong power. I'm looking forward to dealing with that power too." he smirked.

"Bridgette and I will not involve the crowd again. This fight is between us. Innocents aren't involved yet." Silver glanced over at Bridgette before walking in the wait room to sit down and wait.

Pan glares at Silver then she notices that the ring is repaired and heads out, rage flowing through her, she knows she should save her true strength for Silver and Bridgette but she must be Trunks first to fight them.

Trunks just smiled at his friend. "Nah, I'm pretty sure my head is harder than Pan's...it seems to run in my family." "Though the Son family seems to use head butts a lot." He cracked his knuckles, watching Pan get a few steps ahead of him. Wow. He idly wondered if he could get her to come back and walk away a few more times....

He shook his head. He had to focus if he was going to win. His father had taught him to clear his mind, and he'd need it clear. This wasn't going to be easy.

He strode out, quickly catching up with Pan. "I'm ready." He smirked a bit, "I just hope you don't plan of using your feminine wiles to get out of a bad spot," he joked. "Kidding, I know you wouldn't." Though she probably could with him, he continued mentally. "What do you say to playing around a little before we get serious?" "Give everyone a show?"

"Here they come now, two of our four semi-finalists!" "Both fighters have shown incredible skill and power, but here more than in any other match, all that they know will be put to the test!" The crowd roared as the huge monitor played clips of the two warrior's earlier matches. The announcer threw out an arm toward the pair as they approached the ring, now side by side. "Now these two march down the aisle not to wed, but to battle one another for the chance to earn the title, "Strongest Under The Heavens!"" "It's a battle between family friends that will decide the ultimate outcome of the Tournament!"

Trunks wanted to irrationally throttle the older man when he brought up marriage. Why had he thrown that analogy to the crowd? Not that it was an unpleasant idea...

"Who will fall, and who will go on to take thier shot at immortality?" "It's time to find out!" 'Fighters, you may begin!"

Trunks and Pan stood at opposite ends of the ring, staring at each other. Trunks face was serious, eyes narrowed as he and the young woman exchanged stares. Both were silently powering up, though only slightly, yet the crowd quieted, as if sensing the calm before the storm. Slowly, the two shifted into ready stances, facing each other down in perfect form.

Then, the two sprang. Trunks threw a wicked punch that Pan batted aside, her answering kick caught by his forearm. Faster and faster then lashed out at each other, puches, kicks, blocks, dodges, and counter attacks one after another in a blurring flurry of combat.

The crowd was stunned for a moment, but began to cheer with renewed enthusiasm, both names being called out through the din.

"That's it sweetie!" Chi Chi cried, "You can do it, Pan!"

Videl sneered at Bra, "My little girl's going to kick Trunks into next week!"

Bra snorted, "Hah! She may be out of Orange Star High, but my big brother is about to enroll her in the school of hard knocks!"

The blindingly fast (to most of the spectators) duel moved back and forth across the ring, one seeming to have an advantage one moment, only to be hard pressed the next. SUddenly the action came to a halt as the sound of twin impacts of fist on flesh seemed to echo throught he stadium.

Trunks and Pan stood close together, each having struck the other in the face with a punch. For a moment, the two stayed that way, eyes fixed on one another. Then they sprang back away, once again on opposite sides of the ring. Trunks touched his cheek, feeling the slightly raw spot where she had struck, noting Pan rubbing her own. As before, they were glaring at one another, faces hard. Then, Trunks smirked, the resemblance to his father plain to see in that expression. Opposite him, Pan's smile was similar to the one Goku wore in a good fight.

As they slipped back into thier stances, Trunks called, "Think that was a good enough warm-up?"

Pan smiles up at Trunks. "Yeah, a warm-up sounds like a good idea, I mean Chun Hua was good but nothing compared to us." She says. When the anouncer introduces them Pan blushes deeply at his marriage comment, especially considering her little day-dream earlier.

Pan smiles slight before they begin, blocking Trunks' attacks and returning her own. When they finally hit each other Pans eyes go wide for a moment, she rubs her cheek softly, the imprint of Trunks' fist still left on her soft flesh.

"Yeah, I'd say that's a good warm-up, time to kick it up a notch." Pan says, smiling. She widens her stance slightly, charging up, her hair floats up from around her slim shoulders as it and the aura around her turn gold and she ascends to Super Saiyan.

Goten parted from his friend and his niece and headed up to the box seats to meet his family and Bra. He gave his sister in law a hug and kissed his mom on the cheek as he moved and grabbed a seat next to Bra.

He leaned forward and started cheering.

"Go Trunks! Kick her butt!"

"GOTEN!"

"GOTEN!"

Goten smiled and laughed as he got yelled at by Videl and Chi Chi.

Bra just giggled.

"I ought to cream you, you brat!" Videl glared at Goten, as if daring him to speak again. 'Don't you have any loyalty to your family?"

Chi Chi nodded, "She's right, Goten." "You should be supporting your neice, your opinion is very important to her, you know."

Bra stuck her tongue out at them. "Yeah, right!" "Goten just wants to be on the winning side." She turned her smile on the young half-Saiyan, noting with pleasure it's devestating effect. "Isn't that right, Goten?" "To the victor, the spoils and all that."

Gohan, watching the match intently, just shook his head. As much as he loved them, sometimes his family and friends were just so loud.

______

Trunks grinned as she transformed, again stunned by how much lovlier, how much sexier, she was as a Super Saiyan. He knew it was that love for power his father had given him that created the feeling, but it was still strong as her hair swept upward, forming a golden crown atop her head, similar to Goku's. "All right...now you're going to fight a real Super Saiyan."

His stance shiftedand he brougth his fists back to waist level, summoning the change from within. He closed his eyes, and the golden aura burst into life around him, his hair lifting and changing from pale lavender to fiery gold. "yyyYYYAAAAAHHHH!" He raised his power further, going to about one fourth of his maximum. Good enough to start. Now...how much was she holding back?

The two Super Saiyans grinned at one another, eager for the clash that would come any moment. This time, it was Pan was sprang first, darting forward with speed that surprised Trunks. Her kick caught him in the chest, sending him flying. She dove in to deliver a follow-up punch, but in a blur of motion he was gone. She looked about a moment, then was lifted off her own feet as came in from her left with a punch. Her counter attack was dodged, leading to an impossibly fast exchange of attacks and blocks as the Super Saiyans battled. Each solid connection of a fist or foot with a blocking arm of leg sent a tremor through the stadium. Faster then went, until to all eyes but the other fighters and the cameras, they vanished from sight. All that could be heard was the thunder clap of traded blows.

Here and there, all about the ring, they would appear for a moment, only to disappear and then re-appear at another spot. A kick to Trunks's head in one corner, then a blur of motion and an elbow would hammer into Pan's stomach.

Trunks was the first to up the ante, as Pan leaped toward him, he just held out a palm, thumb folded across it, that Vegeta-like smirk on his face. Then a blast of golden energy shot toward her. Pan yelped, knocking the bolt away to arc out to sea. "Nice one Pan...think you can do a few more?"

Trunks lifted skyward, sending a shower of energy bolts down toward the warrior woman. Pan dodged and weaved, the bolts that missed devestating the stone surface of the ring. She retaliated, sending twin beams of gold light up at him. Trunks twisted in between them, feeling the power of the blasts as they traveled past him into the upper atmosphere.

Trunks whistled. That was close. He looked down at the now smirking Pan. "Okay, let's see how you like this one!" He had heard that his future self had used this attack. Maybe...just maybe he couold get Pan to fall for it. He held his hands out in front of him, fingers splayed. Then they blurred into motion, weaving odd designs in the air as he gathered power. After a moment or two of this, he thrust them forward again, thumbs and index fingers touching. "Burning Attack!" A large energy ball burst from him, speeding toward her.

Trunks waited for her to move. The key to the Burning Attack was that it was a fake-out, a trick to make the opponent dodge, so he could get a drop on them. It cheated a fighter's ki sense, seeming to be a very powerful attack when it was really weak, the opposite of hiding a power level. Future Trunks had used it to finish Frieza...would Pan take the bait as well?

"Well, that's new to me" Goten commented as he witnessed Trunk's attack, which he called the "Burning Attack"

He watched as the two had battled, growling to himself. He wanted to be involved and he got defeated because he was tricked. How could he let that happen, let her trick him like that.

He had been wanting to battle Trunks SO badly. He had something to prove to himself since the last time the two met, Trunks had pulled out a victory by cheating.

"Well, if Pan can beat Trunks... than I'm sure I could beat Trunks. Pan should be nothing compared to me." Goten thought to himself as he sat on the edge of his seat, following the action.

Pan blushes slightly as Trunks goes Super Saiyan, he looks so handsome she thinks as his hair floats up. Her thoughts are broken as Trunks finished ascending, she could tell he wasn't at full power. Through the furious fight they trade blows, she smiles as they fight knowing that she is holding back alot too. Pan is shocked as Trunks starts to use energy attacks, even though they are easy to dodge Pan didn't know he would do that.

Pan smiles as Trunks fires off his Burning Attack but instead of dodging Pan flies straight through it, he body encased in the brilliant yet weak energy and she fires a blast at point-blank range into Trunks' face.

"You didn't think I would fall for that did you Trunks? Dad told me all about that attack." Pan says and she smiles.

Trunks reeled back, arms flung up to protect his face from Pan's blast. When the blast cleared, the fabroc of his suit was scorched, and a few dark smudges were on his face. He drew back, putting a little more distance between them. "Actually, part of me did hope you'd figure it out...I knew you were smarter than that." "You have become powerful, more than I had imagined you could." "To say I'm impressed would be an understatement."

Then his smile faded, his handsome face becoming serious. "But having power is one thing, knowing what to do with it is something else." "I've been increasing my power, but I've also been learning all the techniques I can." "Control is what I've got, in addition to power." "Do you?"

Trunks blurred into motion, and again the two warriors clashed. The impact of blocked blows resounded over the small island, sounding almost as though a vicious thunderstorm had come, yet the sky was clear.

Trunks pulled one hand back, a glowing orb of energy appearing in it. Pan drew back, ready to bat the blast aside. But none came. Instead Trunks darted forward, driving a right hand into her stomach. She bent over, as the wind was blasted from her. Trunks stepped back from the dazed Super Saiyan, then hopped on one leg, the other delivering a kick that sent Pan high into the air. Trunks blurred into movement, appearing above her, coming down with both hands in an overhead smash. As she plummeted down, he flew after her, right hand cocked back to punch into the small of her back once she hit the ground. Pan's eyes snapped open, and she shifted mid-fall, landing in a crouch and leaping away as Trunks's mighty punch smashed a stone tile into splinters.

As Pan got to her feet, Trunks watched her carefully. "That's just one example...I've developed a few tricks of my own, you see...in addition to the ones of others I've mastered." "Got any tricks yourself?"

Pan smiles as Trunks compliments her on figuring out his trick. Her eyes widen as Trunks suddenly moves faster than every and actually lands several attacks in a row against her. She slowly stands, looking at Trunks as he pulls his fist from the tile.

"Oh, I've got a few." Pan says smiling.

She charges at Trunks but the second before she reaches him she starts a succsession of after-images like she did with Chun Hua. However, she knows Trunks is smart enough not to fall for it so she occasionally fires off blasts from and through her own after-images. Trunks blocks them with ease suddenly she comes up behind him and stops like a statue, Trunks thinks it's another after-image so he starts to turn at that moment Pan jumps and does a spin kick to the back of his head, sending him toward the edge and fires off several small blasts to increase his momentum.

Silver

Silver watches the match closely examining Pan and Trunks. "I knew they were going to be skilled and they aren't even close to full power. They are few of the true fighters of this accursed planet. I'll get to test my own skills againest them soon enough one way or the other." Silver smirked. He glanced over at Bridgette and wondered just how much power she actually had. She was a loose cannon and could consider him an enemy as well. He had heard stories about the sayians and their amazing power. Would he be able to stand up against them?

"Omega Shenron stood up against them and failed. He was the strongest being anyone has ever seen. Goku defeated him and wasn't even at full strength. But I won't be fighting Goku like I had hoped. Maybe I'll go pay Vegeta a visit after the tournament and see if I can stand up against the Prince of all Sayians. This group would be the ultimate test before he headed back to his home planet and destroyed the plague that reigned there." Silver's anger and determination grew but managed to keep his power level down.

Silver shook the thoughts from his head and glanced back to the arena. "Their power level is about the same as mine was when I took on Majuub in the first round. Maybe I'll get a good reading of their power before I face them."

Trunks's eyes widened as he was propelled faster toward the wall of the arena. If he touched that, the match was over! No way would he fall that easy! The golden aura about him leaped higher, as he threw power out in front of him, slowing his flight toward the wall. Then he shot straight up, dodging Pan's blasts to hover up near the cheap seats. Cameras flashed and whirred as the spectators gleefully took shots of him.

Trunks panted, that was closer than it should have been. He had been cocky. "Remarkable...you really have mastered how to use the After-Image technique." "I don't think I could use it at that level." He dropped back down to the battered ring, his feet touching down.

"But our Saiyan powers aren't the only impressive ones...this one's pretty neat, and it's a human technique." Trunks gritted his teeth, focusing his energy inward. He grasped at his center, then tore it outward in two oppostie directions. Trunks spread his arms wide, letting out a scream of pain and elation as the twin sensation ripplied through him. A bright light surrounded him, making it impossible to look at the young half-Saiyan.

When it faded, the crowd gave a collective gasp. From the stands, Gohan blinked. "Wow...one of Tien's techiniques...I didn't expect that."

In the ring, standing in a sort of triangle formation, were three Trunks. Each was identical, wearing the same clothes, with the same golden hair and the same smile. "The Tri-Form technique...though when Tien used it, he made three, where I just made two." All of them spoke at once, in the exact same rhythm and cadence. "Piccolo uses this one to train too...and so have I from time to time."

In one fluid motion, repeated in three different places at the same time, the trio assumed a ready stance. "There are some limits to what they copies can do...but it's still a good technique." "Let's see how ti works in against someone other thatn me!" All three Trunks rushed to the attack, each coming at Pan from a different angle.

Goten just watched in amazement.

He was nowhere near as skilled as Trunks and Pan! True... he didn't put much training in his life... but never expected his best friend and his neice to be so strong and powerful!

He only knew some techniques, mostly energy blasts... never had he dreamed of making clones of himself!

"Maybe its a good thing I lost..." Goten muttered under his breath.

"What was that?" Bra asked, turning to him

"oh, nothing!" he said and laughed nervously.

She just smiled and turned back to the match, placing her hand on his.

Pan smiles as Trunks returns to the ring easily.

"I had hoped you wouldn't lose that easily Trunks." Pan said as he complimented her, she tilts her head a bit as he talks about knowing an impressive human technique.

Her eyes widen as he uses the multi-form and for a moment goes to a daydream again, this time it's a little more adult and she blushes again, awakening just as the Trunks' attacks her. She dodges a knee from one and a jab from another but catches a roundhouse from the third. She jumps back after a moment.

"Wow, that's really tricky Trunks. But not exactly fair. This is supposed to be one on one." Pan says then she smiles again.

"I guess it's time to show you my own special technique." Pan says a she braces herself on the ring, cupping her hands at her side, charging energy. Trunks stares, it looks like she's about to do the Kamehameha wave.

"I made this one up right now, just so you know. Well the name anyway." Pan laughs building more energy between her palms, suddenly she brings her hands forward, her thumbs and pointer fingers touching. "BURNING KAMEHAMEHA!!" she screams and lets out a very powerful energy attack at all three Trunks' at once, they each dodge but she starts to steer the attack just like Yamcha could control his spirit ball attack.

The trio of Trunks swerved and dove, strivign to avoid teh attack that was chasing them down. They split apart, each shooting in a different direction. The scintillating blue beam however, also split into three and continued it's pursuit.

"Damn it!" He couldn't outrun it, the attack was going to hit. Bad part was, that would get rid of the duplicates...he hadn't beena ble to make it so they could manipulate energy beyond basic things like flying. "YaaaH!" With a scream, he lashed out an arm as the attack came at him, channeling poer into the blow and knocking the energy beam out to sea. Around the arena, the two duplicates vanished just before the blue beams ripped into them.

He was breathing hard, but he was smiling as he looked down at her. "Wow." Man, she was so great! If only there wasn't a crowd, he's just dive down there and...he blushed, quickly shuttling that line of thought aside.

They had to settle this soon. The arena couldn't take much more, although he was betting that he could outlast her if it came to that. Which prompted another line of thought, especially when he wondered if she could learn the multi-form technique. He shook his head. "That was something, Pan." "What an attack!" How could he end this? Then, he had an idea.

He laughed suddenly, turning to the stands. "Goten, you're a genius!" Then he dashed downward, screaming into a dive toward Pan with a wide smile on his face...she'd never see this move coming....

Pan made herself ready to meet him, he could see her winding up for an attack. As he approached, he suddenly dropped low, flying scant inches above the ground. Just before he got to her, he pulled up and back, sliding under her guard directly in front of her. His arms reached out, not to grapple or put her in a hold,b ut just pulled her close. Diping his head, he brought his lips to hers, kissing her. As he did so, he flew onward, carrying themb oth out of the ring. Then he just stopped flying. The way they were right now, Pan would hit first, and would be too stunned to act. That, and he had finally gotten to kiss her the way he had wanted to all day.

"I'm a genious? What the hell is he talking about?" Goten asked as he turned towards Bra.

"Goten!" Chichi yelled at him, but he ignored her and watched the match

He watched Trunks stun Pan by kissing her.

"Well... uh... I guess... not sure what to say about that." he said as he turned back to Bra, smiling as she returned the smile.

"TRUNKS!" Chi Chi's voice thundered past the crowd. "You get your hands off my grand daughter this instant!"

Videl was just sputtering, caught between the romance of the moment, and the fact that this couold cost Pan the match if she didn't react fast enough. "Why....Th-that!" "H-How could...Damn it!" "Pan, kiss him later and kick his butt now!"

Bra just grinned at Goten, only a very faint blush on her cheeks. "I think you gave big brother the idea earlier...when you kissed me." She thought for a moment, then pouted a bit, hoping to trick the muscular young half-Saiyan. "Although I didn't get a nice long kiss like that..."
