Drawing of Sienna

NEW PROJECT

Sienna has sent me another photograph to work from for our "In Progress" drawing project...
This will be the second drawing I've done of this gorgeous gal and the pleasure is all mine!

The idea is to post a series of images as the drawing develops from start to finish. My own schedule being what it is the endeavor might take a few weeks, but please come back often and check for updates.

This image is part of the series taken of her at Ibiza by a very talented photographer that rumor has it she's pretty fond of.<wink>
As you can see it differs from the first one we posted (see above)in several respects...first it's a LOT clearer which helps me as an artist...second...well...as you can see two of her magnifcent attributes now fill the halter top she wears and not the viewers eyeballs.
Hey that's okay...if I do a good job, who knows what she might reveal next time around!

So without further ado
here's is the picture she sent me...It's already been cropped a bit...

...and here is the picture modified to B&W with the tone and contrast 'tweaked' to make a better drawing model.

That damn cubist stuff is harder than it looks!

(And I still havn't got to the violin part)


Okay...I've sketched the drawing out on heavy stock bristol board and am using at this point an HB graphite pencil.

I start with the face usually since even on a fully nude figure the face will make or break the drawing.

Being a Art major, I really have to just chime in here and say that those are some of the best drawings i have seen in a long long LONG time. You are MORE than talented , you are gifted!

I was one of the lucky ones to meet and post with Sienna when she first came to LIT.
I asked her way back then if I could work up a drawing from one of her stunning pictures.
Alas we drifted apart for a while and it has only been in the last month that we've been back in touch. I immediately raised the issue of a drawing to which she graciously agreed.
Nothing can match her extraordinary good looks
but here is my humble effort.

The drawing is done on graphite and the orignal is
approximently 12x16 inches.

The drawing is excellent, you have quite a talent. I find Sienna to be one of the most physically attractive woman I have ever seen. Added to that the inner beauty and kindness she has...I may be just a shade of green (with envy that is). The combination of her beauty both outward and inside, and your talent are just marvelous. Please share more.
