For Sayori’s question, I could see that. He did bring Sayori in as a pet with the intention of giving Quint and Cora someone to latch onto and care about, not only to keep them less lonely but to manipulate them as well. I could see him being happy that Quint now almost feels indebted to Sayori for “what he’s done.”

Divide and torture- yep, that sounds about right. Sayori will fall asleep very quickly after they’re done, exhausted little bird.
