*sees the figure walking slowy gettign to the one in white, he puts his sword away adn draws his assains dagger, watching the two and the other rooftop carefully and he stays very quite and very stealthy*
*Pen glances at the figure in white...then turns and looks at Dantes.his gaze lingers long enough to let Dantes knows he's being followed...but shows no hostility in his look*
"He's far to edgy at the moment",Pen says quietly to himself
*he nods at Dantes...then vanishes into the darkness*
*sees him vanish but still keeps his assain blade drawn and his eye on the person in white and on the rooftop and after the man vanishes he nods adn says quitelty to himself "we will meet again" and he just watches his surroundings quitely thinking he should go into the inn*
Reidrann frowned. Suddenly the alley was a marketplace. At least it might as well be, given how many people were hanging around. She decided just to watch the elf in the shadows for a while instead. He had a nice physique, and she began to doubt the theory that elves penises were even more slender than their bodies. It would be fun to find out, perhaps, but for now she was content to just watch.
Farther down the alley, her footsteps had stopped echoing all around her as they once had before... it could mean only one thing - there were others about. Suddenly Shalott's ears were twitching as the night seemed to come alive around her- there were no difinitive noises, but there was the motion, all around her.
She cursed the human blood in her veins briefly, knowing that her infravision was limited thusly, but still her eyes scanned the alleyway revealing nothing. But directly ahead, soft footsteps.
Swallowing the lump in her throat, she turned her face to her goddess, taking the tiny gong worn on her neck in hand and ringing it in a prayer to Tymora, which pierced through the night.
*he hears this ringing and it starts to annoy him as his eyes beging to blair red as he leaps off the rooftop and lands infront of this one wearing white*
Dantes: Stop that infernal ringing, do you want to die, jeez, why dont you attract more imps and demons and such things. I thought you were a enemy, but i find a cleric, of some god I do not know. If I were you I would state my bussiness and be gone from this place.
*Holds his assain blade that people know very well of and his deadly shot throwing daggers that never seem to stop flowing when he starts to throw them. As the one in white and Dantes stand there a bum that was a pick pocketer runs off as he yells the name "FIRE AND LIGHTING DEVIL, RUN FROM DANTES SUREAL THE DEMON AHHHHHH"
Shalott looked at the dagger blankly, only half percieving what it was in the short time that Dante rushed on her. She waited until her prayer was over to stop ringing the tiny gong, and then turned to Dante, her own eyes angry.
She was about to scold him on interrupting her prayer, when a bum saw the man and began to run away franticly screaming, as this "Dante Sureal" proceeded to utter some witty comment.
"Is that all you do?" she demanded, "Running around at night spoiling prayers and scaring the daylights out of homeless drunkards? Now THAT fellow's screams could wake the dead!" She frowned, her lips forming into a delicious pout. "And you have the AUDACITY to yell at me for the soft chiming of this tiny gong?"
*his red blair to his eyes get stronger and you see he starts to glow red, but after a minute it disapates*
Dantes: just who do you think you are talking to, i just saved you, my name is Dantes Sureal and i am well known throught out many places, i am loved, and mainly feared thoughout the lands, that man that just ran away was going to kill you and steal what ever you had on you...hang on a minute
*turns around adn throws what seems like a endless steam of black glowing daggers and you see a figure fall down adn than he turns around and takes his assasin blade adn stabs right past the woman in white and in the process of that stab he gets cut on the arm bad, you see much blood spilling to the ground as it cut the vein, adn Dantes stabs in than is forced back to parry cause there are 3 others in full armor comming*
Dantes:did you set this up?? you might want to get out of the way
Shalott glanced quickly as Dante spoke, but heard little as she was staring at his strange eyes. Before she knew it, a fight was upon them, and daggers were flying all about.
She thought she head Dante yell something about getting out of the way, but the cleric was already in prayer. "Luck!" she yelled in the elven tongue, and brought her hands to the nearest attacker, expelling energy through her hands. The man in armor, jerked in shock, his face paling as he fell down to the ground. Shalott whipped about, unfastening a strange weapon from the belt that fastened her clerical robes- seemingly a strangely crafted mace on the end of a strong rope. Whirling it above her head, she released the rope halfway, sending it flying toward the head of another attacker.
*stops the flow of daggers and watches the woman in white, with an impressed look on his face*
Dantes: very impressive
*he sees the last of the attackers fall, as they get up they all yell out, "OH NO ITS THE DEMON KING, DANTES RUNNNNNN AHHHHH HES GOING TO KILL US WITH THAT DEMON BLADE OF HISSSSS", Dantes just shakes his head and looks back to the woman in white*
Dantes: so what is your name? And again I will warn you to leave this ally and get inside, other wise you wont be dealing with street thugs, but me. *grins evily* *He points to the ally way door that leads into the Inn* go go
"Shalott. Shalott Garith," she spoke, notind that the strange glow in his eyes had faded. He was motioning toward an inn, and she could see the warm glow coming from underneath the crack of the door. Yes. Perhaps it was time to turn in for the night, but somehow she felt strangely challenged by this man.
"And will you be accompanying me, sir? I mean, Dante. Dante Sureal... demon king!" She continued with a churckle and a wink. "Obviously, I am not afraid of you dear man... but I am alone in this town and could use company as I sup, if you aren't otherwise indisposed."
He was staring at her.
"Perhaps a game of dice?" She smiled, knowing the game was one of her goddess's favorite.
*agains he looks to the rooftop adn he looks back to you*
Dantes:sure ill join you, and maybe ill play some dice with you. You should be afraid of me dear cleric, I am a very dangerous man and have killed thousands.
*bows low and motions for you to go first through the door and he looks to teh rooftop again*
"I love a man with modesty..." Shalott teased. "And you should think twice before accepting a dice game with a cleric of Tymora..." She chuckled.
"I have killed thousands... at the tables." With that she laughed, and spun around on her heel, trusting her luck that the man wouldn't stab her the second she turned, and made her way into the inn.
Reidrann followed the pair via the rooftops. She had been impressed at their action against the thugs. In truth, they'd managed to miss two of their cronies. She'd been about to take part when the screams of their friends made their take flight.
So, a demon and a cleric of Tymora? Now she had to ask herself.. was the demon hot in bed? And could she get lucky with the cleric? She spun down from rooftop to shed to ground and followed the couple into the pub.
"Reidrann," she said, flashing them her kinkiest smile. "Reidrann Mossadin. Now, did someone mention something about dice?"
The inn was warm, almost to the point of being hot, and a welcome change from the cool night air. Shalott slipped off her coat and took a seat at a back corner table, running her hand over the wood worn smooth by many hands.
There was a human woman approaching. Shalott watched her approach until the woman introduced herself, (flashing a rather beguiling smile that couldn't help but spread the corners of her own mouth into a sweet receiving grin.)
"Reidrann Mossadin. Shalott Garith... and my friend here, the 'Demon King" She couldn't help but chuckle as she said the words, and waved Dantes off as he looked at her. "I'm sorry... I can't help it, I've never met someone with such a title before!"
She laughed jovially, and pulled her cloak over, giving room for the new arrival to slip into the booth. "Do join us... especially if you've money and an intent to play."
IC: Reidrann chuckled. Not just a demon, but a demon king then. Was it true that they had three penises? Now that was something to think about, and the gods knew she had been, ever since raiding that demonic temple five months ago and seeing that statue...
"Coin I have to spare," she said. "If coin is all you are willing to play for. Personally, I would suggest something more... intimate. How about playing for favors?"
ooc: sorry about that! I thought I'd seen that ALL the characters were elf or half elf!
IC:
"Favors?" inquired Shalott, with the arch of a delicate eyebrow. "Such as? I'm not a woman of power, you see though... my 'friend' here, seems to have delusions of it..."
The elfmaid tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and pursed her lips in thought. "Who am I to turn down dice, no matter the conditions? Luck be had! Praise Tymora!"
Reidrann enjoyed the priestess's confusion, and wondered just which sect of the goddess she was from, those who were pure of heart or those whose heart was fond of experimentation.
"Favors, aye. But not as you think, good priestess. In some lands hereabouts, great knights joust and are granted the favor of a lady. This favor is generally a handkerchief, but in some areas they use more... intimate articles. Infact in one of the more distant courts I was once fortunate to visit, the favors were symbolic of sexual favors the winning knight might claim from the lady... Although for a simple game of dice I would say there is no need to delay the granting of the favor. So, how about it?"
The corners of the priestess's mouth twitched in an emotion that was undiscernable... one might call it a poker face. Her eyes looked thoughtful as she considered, glancing up the new arrival's form. Her eyes paused at various places, but revealed nothing before she turned them back to Dante. He was sitting quietly, which somewhat suprised her, as loud as he had been previously. Perhaps this bold woman had stunned him into silence.
"I think..." said Shalott carefully, "that I will win."
Dantes Sureal
*sits there quitely as he checks out the room, he keeps his hand on hsi sword handle carefully*
Dantes:I am only being quite, so I can hear you two beautiful women talk, and no i dotn have three dicks, but i have a very nice pakage, adn why do you wnat to know?
Reidrann looked at the demon king in surprise. She was certain that she had only thought the question about his penises, but perhaps he was a telepath. Many of them were, she'd heard.
"If you're going to listen in on my thoughts," she said, "I'm just going to have to stop thinking..." She laughed and continued. "As to why I was wondering, I've never had sex with one person who could COMPLETELY fill me before. I just thought it would be fun to try. Oh well."
She turned her attention back to the priestess and chuckled at her remarks. "Ah, the game of favors is the game we all win," she commented. "After all, if you lose to me, I receive your pleasure and if I lose to you I receive your taste. Unlike money, priestess, there are no losers in love. Besides, perhaps we might both get lucky and old pit-dweller here will lose big time, eh?"
Shalott could not completely follow the conversation between Reidrann and Dantes, as half of it was not spoken. Was it true? Was he a demon then? Or perhaps he was using a potion or ring that allowed him to read minds? She felt a bit uneasy at the thought, and tried to form a mental barrier around her thoughts...
Then the human woman was speaking again, of the game. Shalott tried to hide her curiosity and excitement behind a stone face, but she was sure the mischief in her eyes would be visible. With long tapered fingers she reached into a pouch at her waist and drew out her dice. Flinging them onto the table, her eyes widened slightly at a bad roll.
"That didn't count, did it? I was just... um... just putting them on the table."
Reidrann laughed loudly. "No, little priestess, that one didn't. I know I'm more than a little daring, but even I would stop short of playing a game of sexual fun in the middle of an open tavern. Look, the old man over there has his granddaughter with him. I don't think she should see things like that before her time, do you?"
She turned to call to the barkeep. "Tankel, give me the keys to your room will you, my friends and I wish to have some privacy."
The barkeep nodded and reached to unhook some keys. "Try not to break anything this time, you vandal! And I expect to be written in to your next book, ok?"
