Eagles Fans Well Behaved???

I usually don't post news stories...but saw this today and, being a die-hard Eagles fan, had to post the article.

Remember that we are talking about fans who pelted Santa Clause with snowballs!!! And we're being called better behaved than Jets or Giants fans!!!!

Tentatively I'll find out how well-behaved the Eagles fans are in December. My brother and dad [both Eagles fans] and I [Browns fan] are planning on coming up for the Browns vs. Eagles game on Monday the 15th.

Awesome! Gonna be tailgating...or just attending the game? Would love to hear your thoughts afterwards!!!

Been to several games myself, and tailgated a few times....it's fun. And watching the drunks is even more fun! lol

I was, and the facts are probably much diferent than whay you are led to believe. May I respectfully enlighten you?

That being said, I am a born and raised Philadelphia, and there are 1,000 or so thugs/drunken assholes who try ther best to ruin the enjoyment of the game for the other 68,000 good fans, and thus, our national reputation is developed, sadly, by these creeps.

Darlin...I'm a born and bred, diehard Eagles fan. I wasn't trying to put the fans down (as that would be the same as putting myself down). I was being sarcastic, knowing that Eagles fans always get knocked for being badly behaved.

I've been to several Eagles games....I KNOW what the fans are like. I know a majority are there to cheer our boys on and enjoy a sport that is so loved in this city. I also know that the "santa/snowball" game is shrouded in myth and urban legend.

That being said....I would love for you to share the factual story of that legendary snowball incident please.

For the record...it happened only 3 years prior to my birth!

Anyway....THIS is what makes football good. The good-humored, non-threatening (almost) teasing and rivalry. Yes...I am a diehard Eagles fan...but I am also a diehard FOOTBALL fan. When the Eagles choke (yes...I grudgingly admit it), I will swallow the lump in my throat, send my prayers for a better year next year, then throw my support behind any teams left to battle.
