EDIT is an awkward operation on Literotica. Thus I perform it much less often than I would like to, than I should.

I did edit and EDITed my "California?" poem though. I've sent my corrected version and... nothing. Nine days has passed already. Isn't it a bit excessive?

Yes, it is. Why don't you send Laurel a pm and tell her when you sent it and what poem you're replacing. She'll make sure it's corrected.

Although maybe like posting illustrated and audio poems, they're only doing edits once or twice a month, too.

Thank you. It used to be 2-3 days. Then 3-4. Progress...

Yep, it's been really slow lately. The average turnaround for a story to come up has always been between 5 and 10 (if the submission load is heavy) days, and from the look of it it seems like both EDIT and DELETE submissions are queued with the stories instead of taken care of faster.

Haven't submitted a poem for a while. How fast do those come up?

It depends on the type of poem, audio and illustrated poetry go up only about once a month, so if the edit is one of these the wait may not be out of the ordinary. For a non-erotic or erotic poem the nine days is a bit long so you might want to PM Laurel.

straight poem (no audio, etc). 10 days

The edited poem has showed up:
Some of you kindly made comments about the earlier version, thank you, and you may like to have another look at it.

Best regards

It's possible.

It's possible to be at peace, in harmony with the world, to be stoic and in touch with zen & nirvana, when you can't EDIT.

Give me a chance to answer your question. State your question straight, directly, explicitly.

Why?
  • whitish -- white, but not quite
  • grayish -- gray, but not much
  • dirtish -- clean, but not really (this one is interesting, different from the previous two).

How could I know? (I don't know you).

And what in the hell is this supposed to mean?

Let's examine this in accordance with your 90/10 rule. What 90% am I the reader supposed to put there. This looks like a put down, not a poem. How am I wrong?

-ish, is neither a verb or a noun, and yet it may be the most effective and poetic part of this so-called poem.

Now, a while back I made a statement about the importance of leading the audience. You called it pathetic. This leads the audience to where? To little more than the 10% you put into it.

I question, you evade, that is our history here. Or you snipe. As much as I respect your writing on poetry, and some of your poems. This as far as I can see is crap, contrary to your tenets as to what good poetry is.

I will show you fear in a handful of dust.
- Eliot (someone you called a rank amateur compared to who was it? And I believe I asked you why.)

Relax, regards and all that cal

If the height of poetic prowess are three fish like adjectives (which I beleive Senna at one time or another warned against useing) then this 10% does not warrent a 90% effort on my part.
As much as I enjoy a good put-down, this is rather pathetic.
