What is needed as proof? This is my first day!! I am a virgin and haven't a clue about forums, threads, posts, etc.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt here, being new an all...

To explain the problem a bit, there are often instances where pictures are posted here that are scrounged from elsewhere on the net. Don't know why it happens, presumably the prankster gets their kicks stringing folks along.

Sometimes the person posting the pics isn't the subject in the pics, such as a boyfriend or husband who's probably been allowed to photograph or been sent pics. In such cases there's an unpleasant breach of trust, for the poor lady in the pics probably thought they'd be for private consumption and is maybe unaware they're being shown on a forum.

Of course one need a profile, so a brand new profile without history of corresponding for a while in the community is one trait of these "fakers".

Also, another common feature of a "fake" thread is that the subject of the pics is a very attractive, slim 20-something, with clear, well lit, well posed photography.

I guess on that basis an eyebrow has been raised as to the authenticity of the thread. They've been gracious to say they'd willingly apologise if they're proved wrong. It's up to the "membership" to police this place, and that's heartwarming isn't it?

Proof? What's that? Well, it's demonstrating you are the subject of the pics, and not knicking them off the net, or posing as the girl and posting em without her knowledge. To do that, write your LIT member name on a bit of paper, and maybe "Eeeek! This is my virgin post", Then hold that up in a snapshot of youself, wearing say the skirt, blouse or boots that feature in pics to date. That way you're showing confirmation you are one and the same, and are aware of the posting of your pics.

That done, apologies all round, and welcome genuine friend to the Lit community!

I won't weigh in on the validity of the pics here. I'll agree they are damn fine looking pics. Amateur quality, yes....but of a very nice looking woman. I'm sure the jury is not done with the fake trial; I saw another fake thread derailed once even after the poster procured a pic with a sign in it. Are these fake? I have noooooo idea. I wouldn't suspect it...if not for Emmy saying so.

Between the proliferation of fakes and the incessant drama in the non- fakes, I rarely even come into AmPIcs anymore. Sad, but true. Anyway, for the good of the place; I hope Emmy is wrong and this is not some grand scheme to dupe the poor men ( and a few girls) of lit. I think I'll just grab some popcorn......
