Electrical play

I thought Morgan did a excellent job describing the wand in your first video. I used to have one but I gave it to someone. It was a good beginner wand because it was electronic and the person I used it on didn’t wish for a huge shock. I believe she was more like AnnieLit as she liked impact play better
....but back to the video, Morgan did a good job describing a lot of the electrodes.
I had a body piece similar to she did but mine had a insulated attachment so I did not have to worry about the chain. I like that she used the foot pedal because handling and changing electrodes you can get in a hurry and the knobs on the wands are easy to not think about and mess up with

I also had some rope that had a small piece of Mylar in it but I don’t believe it gave as good a shock as a electrode or the body piece did. But it did give one. Just different. Maybe it would of been better with a bigger wand.

I have a friend that uses his larger wand at party’s and always has a following with lots of people in line to let him use it on them.

Sorry I did not watch her review on the second video.

And AnnieLit? I think it best to do things you enjoy if possible :)

Thank you for that detailed reply. I sincerely appreciate it, Knoturnal (I have admired your username for a while. Well done!).
I had the rake attachment used on me the one time I did it. It was very very very cool.

I agree, her setup as far as the foot pedal was a fantastic addition. Personally, i love the mental concept of the indirect method. I had never considered it, but should have. It was one of those *fecepalm* "Of Course!" moments. It could make soooo many things so much more INTERESTING.
I'm going to throw it back to a book series that is a guilty pleasure of mine and say *Gasp* so an Agiel is real?! DUDE! I got a bit flustered at that honestly.

It sounded like she was saying there is a rope attachment made specifically for it. That piqued my interest too. I'd like to hear how that works and any experiences with it. Seems like the foot pedal could be used to rig some really interesting predicament scenes as well :cattail:

I’m not sure what your talking about with rope attachment but there are lot of attachments made for them. If I wasn’t specific enough on the rope I had it was normal jute rope that was made with a piece of Mylar mixed in to the twist. I got about a 200 ft hank of it from Epsey and cut it myself. That could of been the reason it wasn’t that intense. The pieces of Mylar tend to break a lot easier than the rope but it’s good in some ways it’s not a copper cord running inside the twist of rope as that could get maybe too intense according to your sensitivities to Electricity and the wand. The way you activated it was to touch the rope already put upon the person and when the electrode touched the Mylar it travels through the rope to different parts of the body. The stronger the wand the better the charge traveling and the more parts feeling the charge. There may be other ways that it’s done I’m just not aware of them.

Yes. But how would you know if you like something or not, unless you try?

The only think I can think of would be to learn as much about something you want to try by reading up on it so that during your negation phase before trying it you could insist that you could ask questions or such during it if possible.
Maybe that way if it wasn’t what you were expecting you could ask for the sensitivities be turned up on the wand or it would be good to learn about them enough to ask what sort of wand he might be using before you began.
Myself I think this is good for many things to learn about them as much as you can before trying them. I know I like to learn as much about something before trying it and if possible be mentored on it with someone experienced with it.
So that’s still what I think of using the RACK (Risk Aware) method.

Before I went to clubs or events or as I began to go I enrolled in a Mentors program and learned a lot of different ways to play before I played a lot with other people. I know not everyone has the ability to enroll in a program like that. I was lucky.

I also think that is a good way to begin. You can learn a lot by talking with other experienced people like here at Literotica but not nearly as much as a program designed to do that.

In things I am not mentored in I usually start out slowly and amp things up as I go on.

That is a good policy if you haven’t done something before with someone or to watch someone do a form of play if possible to make sure your not going to cause serious harm. Everyone is different and will have different sensitivities to different things.

wow

I find this device intriguing... I have wanted to try this for years. I enjoy prostate stimulation and prostate orgasm's ... the thought of having this thing up my ass and driving my nut juice to flow just excites me. Wish I could find someone to show me the ropes...

There are several threads already on the interesting aspects of electroplay. The violet wand is expensive, but a lot of fun. A TENS unit is pretty versitle in the different attachments you can get for them. A wand also has attachments, and both have the ability to allow someone to be creative and use household items as attachments.

The attachments that are made for these devices are usually pretty expensive, but you don't want to get something that is cheaply made. We are talking about electricity.

A double TENS unit is best, but again, they are pretty expensive. But, they are like two single TENS units in one device. They have their own attachments and you can also use two single TENS unit attachments, too.

With both the wand and a TENS unit, always be safe. Don't attempt to over step your ability and don't over stimulate any one area too much. You can damage parts of the human body with electrical stimulation.

But, if you don't over do it too much, you body will heal itself. But, it is possible to get too much of a good thing, if you understand what I'm saying.

There are links in the library to the other threads on electoplay. Many have a lot of information on everything electrical. Also, if you are familiar with the search function here for threads, you can find them that way, too. Many of them, I've either started, or posted in one someone else started.

Have fun and play safe. Electroplay can be a lot of fun.

Tens

So I gave in to my curiosity, went downtown and bought a TENS unit. I was anxious to try it out this morning... so I did. First time ever playing with a Tens unit. It has 2 channels with four pads for contact. I read the directions, installed a battery, placed the pads on my arm for test run. I adjusted the settings as per the directions for starting out. Once I was accustomed to what to expect, I removed the pads from my arm, starting with just two, I placed one under the perenum of my penis and the other pad directly onto my manhole.. Turned it on and brought up the power. My penis had been soft and immediately started to rise with the tingling current. Before long I had the second set on. I tried the pads in various locations to find what brought the most excitement. Then I started turning up the pulse width and rate as well as the power level. Very enjoyable experience... About 20 minutes into my first TENS test session my swollen but not hard cock started flowing cum.

I t was an interesting orgasm, cum flowing from the tip of my cock without the usual big shots and contractions. The orgasm felt great but not really as satisfying as from manual stimulation... I look forward to trying again later and learning how best to use this unit.

My best results so far were with pads on the underside tip of my penis, with it's mate on my pucker. The other two pads with one on each one of my testicles/scrotum...

Does anyone else have any better suggestions for sensor pad locations?

I went to a class on electroplay and then volunteered to have the two different units used on me. Fell in love. Plus it does wonders for my migraines.

You have a double pole TENS. Those are like having two single pole TENS units in one box. And I noticed you got the two working together. If you didn't notice, you can modulate one set of leads with the setting on the other set of leads, giving you a wide variety of sensations. You can set the primary leads on one wave and then place the secondary leads somewhere so you can set them on another wave and then modulate the two waves.

When you modulate the waves, you can create sensations that go up and and down in intensity, or even create a circular wave between all four leads. It's difficult to explain, but I'd guess the information you got with your TENS explains some of this. Some waves will modulate better, depending on what you've get things set at. I'd guess you have a sine wave, pulse, triangle and square (if that isn't considered the pulse). Experiment with these and how they intermingle.

But, until you know what to expect, keep the intensity levels down. And don't get too attached to the thing, because you can dry out the tissues you have the leads connected too. Too much of a good thing and all that. See, electrical current likes moisture and you are basically evaporating the fluids in your skin and soft tissue, when using the TENS. Just watch how it goes for a while. When you get a new toy, it's easy to play too much.

But, the human body recovers pretty fast, so as long as you don't over do it, you can keep a regular schedule of use. Also, too much of this will dull the sensations you get from it, especially if you are always placing the pads in the same places. So, that's another reason not to over do the fun.

But, a double pole TENS unit is a good purchase. You should have fun experimenting with all of the settings. Some sensations could actually put you to sleep, because they feel so good. I once had a Chiropractor who had a double pole TENS unit that he would apply to my back, to help me relax before a treatment. Let me tell you, I almost always fell asleep. Of course, it wasn't set high enough for pain, but it did stimulate the muscles in my back and that helped me relax.

Yes, that's really what these things are made for...helping with injuries and blood flow to affected areas of the body, like muscles and joints. Those in the BDSM community just incorporated them into scene play and by turning the intensity up, the sexual fun also gets turned up.

You can also get attachments for this TENS unit like alligator clips, dildos, anal plugs, etc. You just have to make sure the attachments you get have the same connecting plugs as the leads you have now. There are some attachments that stimulate the prostate gland and I'd guess there are videos on the Internet that shows how interesting that is.

And look into attachments that are made for a double pole TENS unit. You can use attachments meant for a single pole TENS, but some double pole TENS attachments take advantage of modulating the waves between the two sets of leads and can create some very interesting sensations, to say the least.

The only draw back with attachments is they aren't cheap. But, the double pole TENS isn't cheap either. There are also adapters that change one method of connecting to another. Hopefully, you got a TENS that has a pretty universal method of connecting leads, but if not, adapters could change from one style to another, so you can connect that special attachment you want to try. It might also make you feel a little like some mad scientist.:D

Nice to see a more scientific response of this sort of thing. All to often questions like this are answered by enthusiastic but ill-informed 'internet experts'.

I'd just add one thing to the already excellent advice posted by DVS; electricity travels at 186,300 miles per second - how fast can YOU reach the off switch?

So it has been nearly a month since acquiring my Tens unit. It has been an amazing source of enegry causing much jizz to flow...lol Just attch the leads and lay back on modulation with the band width at 170 and the pulse around 170... the cum starts flowing after 3 or 4 minutes.
Overall I am really enjoying the hands free but the orgasms lack the intensity of manual stimulation. I will pick up a few more interesting attachments for further research and testing...
Cheers

Electricity, electricity!

If 2 years ago you would have suggested strapping me to a table and letting my body get shocked I’d have laughed in your face.

Here I am now hauling my butt to my “therapist” table, getting hooked up to electrodes on all sorts of body parts, and having amazing orgasms. Seriously AMAZING!

So why am I writing this, because most people don’t explore this part of BDSM much. I only got shocked clothes on in a dare first time. Then it flipped a switch... figuratively 😜

But the other part to is depression. I’ve been experiencing it. Life’s ups and down. And somewhere I came across articles... reasesrched and educated articles proposing bring back shock therapy to release seratonin and endorphins without pills.
I’m not going to cite these article in well known magazines. You can google it.

I will say that I have a lot of trust in my friend who I play with. I do find it helps me get into subspace and orgasm, but the subsequent sub drop is not dramatic.
And yeah, it maybe in my head, but I do feel a bit better after, kinda like the high after a great gym routine.
The experience is quite shockingly fun!

I'm not sure electroconvulsive therapy ever left. My daughter had a round of it about 4 years ago.
There are other ways of accomplishing tha same with certain neurotransmitters. Some most likley work better for some people than others. A lot of this sort of thing tends to be at least somewhat controversial because of limited research or documentation. I think it's clear that some things actually do something ... there are things that do seem to have an effect.

Power posing (I think an unfortunate and limited term to describe something larger) is supposedly according to some, disproven yet it doesn't seem different to me that psyching one's self up, positive affirmations, etc that people clearly seen to find beneficial. I'd call it another way to adjust one's inner monologue.
Testosterone has been shown to be manipulated according to how a person feels, their status, how they perceive things and also been shown to be affected by making a conscious effort simply to have a more positive outlook or think of one's self as being more powerful.... it's been described as "self fulfilling".

I think there's a difference that is often conflated between terms such as "disproven" "debunked" and "inconclusive" "unproven", etc. "unproven" and "debunked" are not synonomous.

Words are important and when people misuse them they often cause misunderstanding and misinformation. I'm sure I'm guilty of some of that as well however I try to avoid it. Information is valuable.

Just because something might not be settled science doesn't always mean it's useless. You often have to take ownership of whatever it is that's affecting you and investigate things for yourself. You simply can't trust other people's interpretations sometimes. They make mistakes and or have preconceptions that might be incorrect and a lot of people have agendas that are unhelpful.

Doctors and other people we should be able to rely on to be who we think they are are at least as fallible as plumbers and technicians. Perhaps more so. It's the arrogance that just pisses me off.

Science is political as is Medicine. This is clearly contrary to the scientific method.
Of course they aren't the only disciplines where the ideal is to be of an open mind which seems to be broken but not much you can do about that.

It's far more productive to take ownership of certain things. Often you'll find you can benefit greatly. You'd be surprised to know how much "common knowledge" is utter bullshit. I'm not sure anyone actually has a good measure of that situation.

If you're not careful to understand what I just wrote it can be easy to miss the fact that while there's negativity in it, the real message is that almost nothing is completely hopeless.

One thing you can always count on is people fuck up.

There are simple plans for estim machines that use mp3 files to drive the unit's wave forms. This allows one to customize and experiment.

There are free and open source programs to modify audio files and produce those from scratch such as Audacity.

There are, or were at least two boards similar to this one dedicated to estim in all aspects from commercial to DIYers. I haven't visited those in a while but they should be easy to locate with a search.

The plans I mentioned are based on a common battery powered amp for .mp3 players and other devices that accept a standard small earbud connector, your mp3 player is your controll unit, you riup off the speakers and substitute a couple of common small transformers. If you stick to battery power and don't use a power pack it eliminated the need for an isolation transformer and also keeps it portable.
