Embarrassing Anal Sex Question

When you see what my question is, you'll understand why I'm posting anonymously. My partner (I am female) has lately become very interested in trying anal sex. I've done my research on this site and think I'm ready to give it a try. One problem tho.... I have hemorroids. Not the really itchy bad kind, just dormant ones left over from some bad constipation that I had due to some medication. They are the outside the body kind. Its not likely that these will ever go away entirely so waiting it out isnt an option. My question is ... is anal sex a bad idea for me? Anyone out there with hemorroids want to tell me their experiences? I'd really like to try this, but i dont want to hurt myself.

well I have no idea about the answer to this....But my suggestion would be to consult with your OB/GYN and the physician who treated you for the hemorroids and see what they say. The are bound by confidentiality so you wont have to worry about that

I must say out of all the questions asked, this is the first time I've heard/seen one like this.

I would be very hesitant to engage in anal sex unless or until everything "at the backdoor" was looking and feeling normal. I agree with the prior poster. Talk to your doctor. I wouldn't worry about them giving you a lecture or anything. Chances are, they've heard it before. Heck, they've probably engaged in it before. Best to be informed before you begin. Could be that you will be fine. But it is best to ask a medical professional first.

Talk to your doc....it just doesnt sound like a good idea though...I could imagine things busting open, getting infected...ugh.

Hemorroids are small blood vessels that have for one reason or another - usually extreme blood pressure in the area from pushing - blown up OUTside the body. Because of this they are far more susceptible to being torn or ruptured during anal sex.

There are a number of treatments that can eliminate or reduce them so there's still a chance you could enjoy anal sex ...at a latter date. I'd suggest you NOT try it now. A ruptured vessel or a rectal/anal fissure could make your
hemorroids a MINOR annoyance by comparison.

Once upon a time I had hemorroids and telling you from experience anal sex and hemorrioids do not mix. They would always bleed and it would hurt for days afterwards because of it. And never mind the itch...aaaaaaaaaaa.

Talked to my doctor and two weeks later had them removed.
Won't lie to you it was the worst operation I have ever had but worth it. The first few bowel movements are killers. Had to put a towel in my mouth to bite down on because the pain was so intense. But I get to enjoy the pleasures of anal sex now without the pain for days afterwards.

Like everyone said talk to your doctor. When I had mine done there was two ways of getting them removed. One was to have them removed in the operating room and the other was have them tied off. With tying them off what happens is they no longer get blood flowing to them which in turn results in them falling off where they were tied. I opted for getting them removed in the operating room only because it was quicker and did not have to wait for days later for them to be gone. Wish I could tell you which procedure would be better. By now I am sure they have even more options of getting them removed. Wouldn't doubt if one of them is laser treatment.
