It was a good day, the skies were clear, the sun was out and here on this uncharted, unknown island was the treasure she had been searching for the last few weeks. The young pirate captain smiled to herself as she helped her crew haul their find.
Kyle, better known as Mouse, was small in the manner of height. She clearly had not gotten the tall end of the stick. She stood at four feet eleven, with the brightest red hair known to the sea. Her eyes were a blue green, reminding one of the sea. She wore clothes of a man, a leather belt wrapped tightly around her small but lithe frame. Upon closer inspection, one could see that she was of mixed origin, although, where the other part was of, no one could really take a guess. Strangely enough, for her high intelligence, she could only refer to herself in the third person.
Mouse let out a sigh as she made everyone take a small break. There was still a lot to haul out but they weren’t going to take everything, deciding to leave the rest for the natives. They had the right to it as much as they did, perhaps more. “Mouse is pleased with everyone’s work,” she stated happily, giving a thumb’s up. “Mouse is happy that crew find treasure. Split evenly.”
The treasure was known as Emphi's Treasure. It was rumored (well, not anymore) to hold only the most valuable of gems. From different colored diamonds, to strange and exotic coins.
The men and the small amount of women smiled and nodded, before moving themselves to get comfortable and eat some food. Mouse, however, was itching to explore more along the beach. She couldn’t stay still for a very long time. Looking at her first mate, he smiled and nodded. “Go along, capt’an. I’ll keep watch o’er ‘ere. You go do what you gotta do.” He winked and pushed her forward. “Yell if ya need help.”
Mouse smiled. “Mouse be back soon. Crew need not worry. Trouble no find Mouse today!” With the treasure in their grasp, she only hoped no one else was after it. Letting out a sigh, she supposed that it was good she looked more like a cabin boy than a captain.
