Never been to a nude beach but I wouldn't be shy to it....maybe just feel like a gawker at first and fear that I might rise to the occasion which I am told by nudist isn't the purpose of the nudity. But, I have been skinny dipping with another couple on several camping trips once upon a time.

Bonus: I don't show much on the surface. The torso pic in my profile is maxed out for the public side.

Super Bonus: The most I have shown privately to a Litster is the most you can possible show.

Not really. I have been to a European beach that was topless. I too was topless... which is not such a big deal for a guy. My daughter (16 at the time) was SCANDALIZED by the two ladies who set up near us (it was not a busy day, there were not many people on the beach), and proceeded to sunbathe topless. My son did everything he could not to stare, and spent a lot of time in the water.
My wife pretended to ignore the whole thing.
I laughed....
About the closest I've ever gotten to public nudity was mooning and once, streaking (but it was a pretty empty campground).

Oh! I've thought of something!

When I was... considerably younger ... I spent a lot of time at my girlfriend's house. Mooning, I forgot about that. Once, a girl who I worked with, went home from work feeling bad about her life (on her birthday, no less). I got about 15 to 20 of us (male and female) to go over to her apartment, call her on the phone telling her to go to the window, when she did we all mooned her, pulled her out of her apartment and took her to Denny's (the only place open at 3AM). Sometimes being ridiculous is the perfect thing to get someone out of their funk--naked butts help too!

I've been naked in public A LOT more than I realized. It may be time for an intervention.

I have. More than you would think!

No. I will not elaborate.

Except to say that one side of my family are ex-hippies and new-agers. Veeeeeeeery free on the nudity and sex (much to the horror of my puritanical little soul. ). From that association I've spent some time at a nudist camp. Hotoword's beach scenario pretty well sums up the experience.
