Mt aim is to increase my collection of his books etc., but for now I have somewhere around 600 of his pics on the computer and use 'Shreddings' as my background. Truely a beautiful man. Read somewhere where he was supposed to be number 2 after Boris Vallejo in the fantasy art field. I love Vallejo too but still think Royo would have to be number 1.

I would agree Catalna. Of the current producing artists, Royo should definately be number one.

However, we must remember that Frank Frazetta is the Godfather of fantasy art.

True, though I think for me Frazetta didn't capture the detail, colour, life, and emotiveness of Royo...but as in all things times change and it may be just a matter of space in time and the beginnings of a developing genre.
