Mine die over time. The host sites either:

a) actively check their logs for excessive hits from one location, meaning someone, me in this case, has hot/deep linked to their site and don't want the bandwidth used because they can't tap the viewer directly for whatever bullshit they're attempting to sell. (With the exception of artists, if you're putting something up for view on the Net, get the fuck over it.) Or ...

b) let their sites slip due to bad maintenance practices.
