Abstruse,
"pretentious"? not at all. Not certain I ever have DEFINED erotic art.
Great question. thinkin'...hmmm.
hey! I'm TRYIN' to think, but nuthin's happenin'!

for me, erotic art has a sexual element...either overt or covert (subtle). So...to be erotic the piece needs to speak to the viewers own fetishes, desires, and oppinions of sexuality. the ART part...means it has to tell a story...a sexual one....it ha sto arrouse me....a little or a lot. It does not HAVE to have nudity...or even "Sex"..but it sure CAN. Imagine a painting of a woman looking back at the viewer, she is in a dress which gaps open, showing nearly her complet breast. She is at a fine restaraunt...with people in the back ground...her eyes sparkle with desire. THTA is erotic...to me.

Imagine a giant dragon with it's cock unsheathed spewing forth a fountain of cum up over a naked woman who touches the pulsing cock with one hand and rubs his steaming fluids into her body with the other as she stands in a golden bowl filled with his jism. THAT is erotic...to me.

See a woman undressing in a window...that is erotic to me.

watch a couple frantically fucking on a conference table, their clothing strewn aside in haste....perhaps you can see thta he is actually in her ass....that is erotic to me.

a woman asleep in bed..turned away...half on her side...covers crumpled and her bare butt exposed. THAT is erotic.

it is MANY things....but they are MY things MY images..my fantasies which make them erotic to ME.

..and i wonder if any of those things (as I depict them in my drawings) are erotic to anyone else?

Wow, I love your thinking. Great answer, you've cleary defined it, thanks.

I do believe people find your art erotic.:rose:

Well, it should be clear some of them are to me. How else would I have gotten the inspiration to write a story to one?

And how about you Abs? Not yet itching to draw something more? Or show us something?

Just a tiny one?
Just an itsy bitsy?

 :D

So do I. Not very feesable...i prefer to draw from life...that is where i SEE the spark, the life.
dear jonathan,
That is what I meant. If there were a way, I would like to be your live model. The way you draw these figures is very beautiful and erotic to me.

*pokes RhinoGuy*

I'm here like you asked... LOL.

Do you REALLY want to know what I want to see drawn out? Most of it isn't that erotic...

Okay...

The first one is a little hard to explain, but I'll try. A blonde Queen, long, tumbling hair with a slight curl, kinda looks a little like Samantha Mathis, favours light, floaty almost gauzy dresses, and a dragon. Her dragon. Specifically, her husband, who can shift into Dragon form. Blue-black, wedge head.

The pic in my head is of the queen stood in front of the dragon, and his neck is almost... wrapped around her, as if protecting her from everyone. Sort of comes under her arm (which is flung over his neck) and out in front of her. There's no expression of fear... more trust and love.

Bizzare, yes I know. I write strange things.

The other is a redhead, again, pretty long hair but straight, slim build, fairly tall... and she has dragon wings, and light armour.

Then there's my personal favourite even if it's a little selfish. Me. With Angel wings...

You can shoot me now.

Hi Rhinoguy,
I liked the figure studies, but didn't find them erotic. I liked the colors - they aren't "fleshy" at all, yet they convey the shadows and blush of skin very well. I didn't find them erotic because they weren't emotionally driven - at least in an erotic emotion. I think for eroticism, there has to be more passion conveyed, either through facial expression or more tension in the body. The ones you posted looked more like "cool-down", post-coital poses. For your sake, I hope that's an accurate view ;).

Makes sense. There are a FEW drawings in my portfolio of PREcoital tension...not so many of POSTcoital....typically too tired...but would LIKE to create some.

Now that gives a nice hint for a story. The artist who wanted to ... so he watched ... ???

tuff crowd

I thought those were pretty funny - I liked "there's nothing HOMO about this milk", but the others were good too. I didn't reply when I read them, tho, because I was nodding off.

Rhino,

Your confession on notepads was a bit disturbing. One of my nieces, she is 25 for god's sake, is crazy about cow stuff. You had me wondering if some of it was designed by you. Weird thought, that.

:D

Next time I visit her digs, I'll have to sneak a peak or two.
